Jon Marks just went ballistic on Simmons and Embiid.  Nailed every point.  Great stuff.

Embiid would’ve been better off not saying anything. He just dug himself a hole and also without knowing it buried Simmons with one of his tweets. Simmons and rich Paul are both dbags. I’m shocked they haven’t blamed Naismith for even including in the game of basketball.

Just some random comments for people who didn't watch the game and have no intention to do so. I find myself being more annoyed at the result of the game than I probably should. It's ridiculous t

I saw a clip where Siri was teaching Reagor some basic moves that should have already been ingrained in him last year.

My two biggest complaints with doug was his inability to develop younger players (some just stunk but there’s some who i don’t think were completely useless that they managed to make look useless) and not being very creative. Like not using Ward on a trick play when he’s played QB in college until week 17 when they are eliminated from playoff contention and playing a meaningless game.

JJAW is obviously a focal point of a lot of the criticism...  I get that...  he has certainly not lived up to anything approaching expectations... but, what appears obvious to me is that Moorehead & Sirianni think they see something to work with, and want to try and develop it...

I don't know if that says more about Arcega-Whiteside or about Moorehead and Sirianni.

Moorehead was here last year.  JJAW didn't show much then.  Maybe Sirianni is the magic factor.  Let's hope.

so instead of using a 6th to help the back field.. A LOT with a guy who would see a lot of touches(Miles Sanders is gonna miss 3-4 games me thinks) we used that 6th to bring in a 3rd string back QB that will only start controversy.

LOVE

Yes, let's trade a draft pick for a running back when we already have Sanders, Scott, Howard, Huntley, etc and just drafted another kid.

You are such a dumb ****.

Are we seeing the other players that are released as a result of the waiver claims?  The Giants were awarded 3 players, so theoretically, they would've had to release 3 players.

Minshew here to get Dillard straightened out.

So a guy who plays 29 snaps in 3 years is more important than a guy who dresses and plays every sunday LOL GTFO

What’s more valuable to a team: Two years of dirt cheap Minshew and Howard for one year or any other random JAG backup RB, or  Royce Freeman for one year?

What I meant to say is that I don't know if seeing potential in Arcega-Whiteside is a positive regarding JJAW or a negative regarding Moorehead and Sirianni.

Isn't Gallman available? He's better than Freeman and doesn't cost a draft pick.

Bacarty continues taking the Ls

I'm becoming as willing to accept Sirianni's evaluation of WRs as I am of Stoutland and OL.

JJAW definitely looked better at the end of camp, and his willingness to play STs shouldn't be underrated, you need your fringe guys to fill out your STs to justify keeping them around to develop on the 53, otherwise they should be on the PS. JJAW physically is as talented as Pascal, a big WR with average speed and athleticism (Pascal is a bit more explosive, but JJAW has an inch and 10 lbs on him). He's the only physical WR on the 53, and I think Sirianni sees him in that role, a big body that can block in the run game (you're not going to ask the other WRs to block a SS or LB) and gives you a big target underneath. Forget about his draft position (b/c Sirianni doesn't care) and think of him as someone they picked up on waivers like Fulgham.

I wonder if Johnson was what attracted Minshew to Philly.

I'm hoping Stoll is a keeper. I liked him in the pre-season.

He is actually a good in line blocker, which is almost a requirement to play TE for the Huskers.  He will drop some that hit him in the hands and that frustrates a bit but he is not an habitual dropper.

No, I understand.  All I am saying is, the WR coach is the same as last year.  So, the video of Sirianni showing something basic to Reagor that should have been taught last year is disturbing. (Note: I am only toing by the report from someone here, I didnt see it.)  The question I have is, were they trying to get too fancy last year and are going back to basics now and building from square 1, or was Moorehead just not as thorough as he could have been... or is it nothing to worry about and just a misunderstanding by the person reporting it.

Between Lane, Dickerson, and Minshew, the Eagles have officially reached their southern bro quota.

Yeah.  I wonder if it went like this.

Doc/Morey: "Hey Joel, Ben has done a number on his trade value and we can all agree he has to go.  But we can't make it appear like you don't want him around because we need to get more for him in a trade.  So do us a favor and go out and endorse him on social media.  But be careful, sometimes you go too far on twitter.............

Joel:  "I got this......:

Definitely possible his tweet about the criticism to get better but some can’t really sounds bad like a shot at Simmons even though i don’t think he meant it that way

so nothing new. at all. Yay

This plus the spots open post IR placement. Solid PS at least developmental wise.

You may find it hard to believe, but as I said, it's all talent evaluation now... and yes, so far at least, only one of the cuts made the cut (so to speak)...  (and can we please stop referring to JJAW every single time this issue comes up... whatever evaluations made on him before the new coaching staff came in are no longer relevant)...

I suspect there are things in JJAW’s game that the new staff likes better than the Fulgham and Hightower.  Better hands, better blocker.  There were some things I saw in the PS that gives me encouragement with the new coaching group.  We saw a couple throws to JJAW where he could use what got him here, contested boxed out receptions where he could use his size against the DB.  Slant routes to Hightower.  That was his best route in college, where he could use his change of speed.  (Hopefully Hightower gets signed to the PS.). I am starting to believe that Nick designs his routes for what his receivers do.   That means, I expect to see some use of JJAW’s blocking skills.  He did look good on the ST coverage teams.
