Wentz being unvaxxed could potentially ruin their playoff chances. I don't care what people do get it don't get, don't care. However, at this point the consequences for not getting it outweigh getting it at this point... That's how I feel about it anyway. Wentz will face those consequences now

Nah, I don't think so.  They are basically a win against Jacksonville away from clinching, and even if they lose out, they can still back their way in.  He's not going to miss the next 3 weeks.  He'll be back by the first week of the playoffs, and likely before that.

Unvaxxed wentz went out and caught the COVID.  10games no contact with the team.  Colts need to finish strong by beating raiders and jags.  Gunna have to beat the raiders with a qb that’s never started an nfl game.

I’m sure wentz teammates/coaches aren’t upset about his unvaxxed status right about now.

We need some luck with our picks with all three teams currently in playoff position.

Wentz seems to be the gift that keeps on giving! Doubt it knocks the Colts out of the playoffs though - even if the lose to the Raiders, they should beat the jags and get in. Hopefully the dolphins to lose their last two and that’s our highest pick.

Vaxxed status does affect how soon you can come back though.

That’s kinda important….Siri got it and didn’t miss a game. Helps to be vaccinated. Especially for a position as important as QB, I sure as hell would prefer my guy to be vaxxed.

The fact that Wentz would play if he was "allowed” goes to show how stupid this all is hahahah

So get vaxxed and be part of a controlled experiment

or don’t take the vaxx and be controlled by the NFL

Boy are you stupid, and probably broke too

So who deems that they're asymptomatic? If we're just going by the trust system here then it's just opening up a whole new issue.

Absolutely, which is why I also acknowledged that.

But if they follow the new guidelines which just came out and they only have to quarantine 5 days. Sunday is 5 days from now I wonder if he'll be able to play.

Don't worry, the NFL never does anything shady with player's health in order for them to play.

I think we can win with Hurts, but I don't honestly see him as a player who can carry an offense on his back.  Not many QB's can do that in all honestly, and it's OK if Hurts never develops into that kind of player. If he somehow reaches McNabb's level, where he can carry avg talent, then I'll be more than happy with him at the helm.

If he can get to McNabb level, then i suspect all of us will be happy...but that would make him equal to the franchise's top QB, which seems like a stretch.

You do realize that you can catch and transmit the virus whether you are vaxxed or not, right?

Yeah I do.  I’m not taking any political or social stance into this. I’m just talking football here

I also realize that wentz has put his team in the position everyone who cared (not me he isn’t the eagles problem) was worried about.

how it plays out I have no clue but as of right now he is basically suspended from all team activities for 10 days.  Period.

It’s Tuesday.  Raiders in 4 days and  Jags in 11.  Wentz won’t be there for 9 of those 11 days.

Raiders are going to battle them.  This is the raiders season.  Let’s just callmit now.  Raiders going to win Sunday. It’ll be a loss primarily because wentz had Covid

That’s as far as I’m going to guesstimate.

let’s revisit this in 4 days.  But the colts team has  to be pissed about the fact that one key players personal decision(s) might effect the whole organizations success.

Protocol was changed today. Wentz could be back in 5 days with a negative test between now and Sunday.

Still might be a stretch for him to play Sunday, but the NFL has done this to try and make sure their guys are playing. Player safety is irrelevant. Barnett also is now eligible for Sunday as well.

In fairness, all Wentz really does is hand the ball to Jonathan Taylor.

Hmm. Kinda  Sounds like the colts are going to get hit with 1 game w/o their starting qb regardless.  But the nfl making it easier for the colts (colts and the nfl go way back) that wentz has plenty of time with the team to prepare for the must win game vs Jax.

win/win unless your the Jax who could really care less I’m sure

"Eagles are in an even more desperate fight, sitting as the seventh playoff seed in the NFC and needing a win Sunday and some help to clinch a playoff berth. With such risks in mind, Philadelphia created some unique precautions. Keeping all three quarterbacks — Jalen Hurts, Gardner Minshew and Reid Sinnett— apart from each other will minimize the chance that a positive COVID result could spread and ultimately take out the top two rungs of the quarterbacks room, as we’ve seen happen with other NFL teams in recent weeks.”

The Eagles are taking Covid seriously. Making playoff push precautions.

Does anyone know if Wentz displayed symptoms or tested positive but asymptomatic? If no symptoms it sounds like he could play Sunday. It'd be worth losing 2 or 3 draft spots just to see Wentz win a playoff game and read about the Wentz haters' heads exploding.

I love when someone posts a topic then a blogger posts "we've already discussed this in the blog."  Ok, thanks.  But it's buried in a hundred pages of posts about the Sixers, recipes, COVID, and people ****ing at each other.

The CDC just changed the guidelines.  With the NFL playoffs right around the corner and teams needing to secure playoff spots and seeding.  Hmm.
