Loved the call, the Bills weren’t stopping Tennessee after Henry ran through em all night.  So now the kicker has to kick it, and you gotta win the coin toss.
Henry hit 21mph on the long TD run and he’s what, 245-250lbs?   That shouldn’t even be legal.
It wasn’t even a full yard, 6-8”.   Nothing wrong with giving your guys a shot against their guys and in the long run if the Bills are the best team in the NFC, they’ll still win it regardless.

Not only that i think the risk is worth it. their schedule is pretty easy from here on out. They have the colts (assuming they get better as the season goes along), at Bucs, saints, New England and Carolina as their toughest games. Probably go 4-1 and at worse 3-2. Really they are likely to finish at 13-4 or 14-3. Baltimore has a much tougher road going forward. Still have cincy twice, cleveland twice (chubb, landry, baker and hunt could be healthy for those games), GB, rams. I’d say the Steelers cause it’s a rivalry but after seeing them against the Seahawks i think they get blasted. here’s the bills schedule

Has anyone asked Siri in a presser since Thursday about Minshew being active?

Bills made the right call, just execution wasn't as good.  I don't mind the shotgun into under center, but drag the snap out and try to catch the D offsides before snapping it.  They had all the time in World on their side.  Also, Allen didn't read the blocks and went to the wrong side.  He goes right and it's a 1st down.  He went left and got pancaked.  Usually you go right behind your C because he snaps the ball and has the advantage on knowing to push forward.

@4for4EaglesNest  What's the name of that BBQ guy you watch on YouTube?  I forgot to bookmark that.  Thanks.

Malcolm Reed is the name.  HowtoBBQRight is the channel.

Tbh if he hits the FG then your fortunes are coming down to a 50-50 coin toss. Didn’t seem like either team would make a stop in OT.

Not nearly as much as it used to.  Dallas lost the toss, but won against NE.

Just brutal

That sucks.  I feel bad for the guy, but I am glad that the Eagles decided to pass on that 'value' pick.

You can bet your bottom dollar Howie would have taken him if we had traded back with the Bears.

Wow.  The play seemed harmless.

what I fear most, is with the schedule lightening up a bit, that we win games and this makes the Front Office think we can win with Hurts as QB..... if playing inferior teams gives the impression Hurts is playing better, giving them a false sense of hope.

Would be the worst mistake we could make and would haunt us for additional years.

Every indication from the higher ups shows they don't want Hurts. I don't think he can save himself at this point.

This is so true

So Cowboys-Eagles: 41-21 doesn't count as must see TV?

The whole point of an RPO is

- one defensive read

- easy pass

- ball comes out quick so you avoid sacks/fumbles etc

- limited progressions to go through

- limits QB mistakes

- no long developing routes

If they have to scrap the RPO from the playbook then Hurts needs to get benched.

If Hurts is so adept at running the RPO, why is he struggling so much with it?  I suspect part of the issue is down to the coaches having little experience working with a QB whose game play is dependent on it, but even so, Hurts has to run it better. For a quick release scheme, he's not really doing it

It all circles back to his lack of football IQ. At the NFL level, he doesn't have it. See also, throwing the ball away on a free offsides, or throwing it out of bounds on a 4th down. Both just insanely stupid plays that are really beyond belief.

I was just going to say it’s funny how they left that one out.

I hope you are right, they wanted him enough to draft him in the 2nd rd last year when we needed soo much other help.

I think it speaks to the fact that Hurts may be best suited for RPO offense, meaning this is what he does best, and if thats the case, then his best isnt good enough. Period. It may in fact be true that asking him to do more, typical NFL QB play, that he may struggle even worse. Hard to imagine, but that could be the case.

The titans only had 3 possessions in the second half (not including end of game kneel down) and scored on all three possessions. Maybe the bills would’ve held them to a field goal if they lost the toss but might have had minimal time left to go score a td to win the game. however if you take away the final drive of the first half where they got it with 40 seconds and basically ran out the clock, they had scored on 6 straight possessions: td, fg, td, td, fg and td. The bills likely had to win that coin toss to prevent the titans from scoring.

Yeah it'd be such a terrible thing for the young QB to play better.

I don't think he's a "quick scheme" kinda guy. Wish bone would be the best offense for him.
