Well, sort of. Congress was not authorized to raise and support armies until 1787 when the delegates approved the Constitution (Article 1, Section 8, Clause 12) and it was not until 1789 that it was ratified, and it wasn't until 1790 that the unit reached its full complement of 700 men. Which is why I said it was furry.

But yeah, that date is as good as any and better than most.

We should all be Colts fans for the next 2 games against the Jets and Jags.  If they win those to get to 5-5 it will be almost impossible to justify sitting Wentz down even at 5-7 with presumed losses against the Bills and Bucs.  I agree with you if the Colts crap the bed in either of the next 2 games all bets are off.

It's fun to shoot, I can, and I know it pisses people like you off. I own one and I've never shot anyone with it so I guess that kills your theory.

I don't shoot or own a firearm.  I have plenty of friends that do.  It's their business and money.  I don't think there's a single person I have met that shoots for sport  that is a bad gun owner or person.

I am concerned about gun violence in my community.  Typically, when it's not domestic violence, it's committed by people who are otherwise engaged in criminal behavior like drug dealing.  I think legalizing and regulating drugs would go much further to reducing violence than any kind of gun control measures. Just like mass shootings, would likely be reduced more by access to mental health and a better social support structure.

Do you feel the government banning automatic weapons from the general you is limiting your rights?

If so why?

If not then isn't regulating AR 15 in essence the same?

Just to play devils advocate here:

When the 2A was written, the civilians were able to and owned the same weaponry that the armies did.

Rifles, Pistols, Cannons, Knives, Swords, bayonets, Today that is not true. Some call this common sense laws.

So we have already limited the rights. Why regulate a gun now solely based on just it looks "tactical"  (For those that dont know, the difference in the two weapons below are in name and appearance only. They both operate and fire the exact same. One is an AR15 and has a stigma attached to it.

AR-15-VS-Hunting-Rifle.jpg

Not directly related - The majority of gun owners do so within the bounds of the laws.

issue that spawns anti gun movements -  A large portion of  gun violenece is by people who do not own their guns legally.

Good grief, did all this gun talk start because of Ruggs?

I think it all started when that one guy wandered in here said Hurts has a really strong arm. I made fun of him saying something about a Hurts Howitzer and it kinda all went downhill from there. Then it somehow evolved to Canada vs Murica.

I don’t doubt the Colts might want to do it.  And they don’t have to answer to the Eagles or other teams for making a lineup decision based on a draft pick.

But they might have problems with the locker room.  And I suspect they might have issues with Wentz and the NFLPA.  I said this before…they might take issue with players under contract being traded to new teams with conditions that disincentivize the new teams from giving them playing opportunities.  That could be a real point of contention.  We are involved in both the sending and receiving end of such trades with Wentz, Flacco, and Minshew.

for someone who appreciates blues/ guitar oriented rock, I cant imagine what it was like in the mid to late 60's in London. CRAZY

Not forgetting Tampa.  That is also a game where the Eagles brought it down to a 1 score game and if the defense made a stop the following drive then the Eagles would have had a chance to win.  But instead they get a taunting penalty and the Bucs were able to milk the clock with nearly 6 minutes left in the game.

This is all technically true, but the Bucs dominated the first half so soundly that they came out incredible flat for the entire second half (and still won easily). There were A LOT of garbage yards in that game.

That's on them.  It's beyond silly to disregard good play int he second half that got the team back in it and in a position to potentially win the game had the defense got one more stop at the end which they were unable to do.

Just hate the kid so much that people are angry that he still plays till the end of games and tries to get the Tema back in it. Especially silly since all summer the only stat that matter, no other stat or anything mattered about Hurts except the most important stat of all which was points scored in the second half. Now they are scoring points in the second half but this is now am example of how awful Hurts is.  It's so silly.

A rare win these days for Howie.

It doesn't piss people off, I've shot many guns since I was a kid, my dad got me a BB gun when I was 8 then around 12 I shot my grandpa's bolt action 22 then through the years I've shot all sorts of hand guns rifles and shot guns.

Never an AR 15 though my brother in law has one and has offered to take me to the range with it.

Not sure where you're going with the you own one and have t killed anyone with it so it ends my theory, what theory was that???

Do you read your own posts before you press submit

"The only reason to own an AR 15 is to shoot other people and in the case one is doing that against the US armed forces like I said your AR 15 isn't much help against a tank or a missle equipped drone."

Piece of Trivia....  The Eagles started out as a backing band for Linda Ronstadt

True.  His picture includes Bernie Leadon and Randy Meisner, both of whom left the band.  Of course, their replacements, Joe Walsh and Timothy Schmidt were okay so the band managed to carry on.

Yup, and if people make threats on face book or any other social media, in school, at work, where ever. Take them seriously.

Indeed. Besides those guys already mentioned, Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, Townsend...

They don't. If I want to apply for a permit for it and pay big bucks to have said permit I can own one.

Trivia Question -  Without looking who caught the last TD from Foles in his 7 TD game?
