Yup, and if people make threats on face book or any other social media, in school, at work, where ever. Take them seriously.

Cyber crime needs to be cracked down on big time. People shouldn’t be able to make death threats online.

Man, that really impacts how I think they will play this weekend.  JJAW is such an integral part of the offense.

Would anyone trade in the off-season for Jimmy Garoppolo? The 49ers probably have to get rid of him.

He’s mid-tier, but when he plays his team wins. When he hasn’t played his team loses. You can win a Super Bowl with him, but he wouldn’t be the main reason.

If it cost a 2nd in 2022 and conditional 3rd (ish) in 2023 I’d probably do it.

Okay sorry guys I wondered back in to the convo. I'm out now.  @Utebird if I don't answer you any more don't be offended

Racist Riley I think

I’ll doubt it’ll be top 3, but it would be nice.

Fins have 5 of their next 6 at home, and 4 of those games are against teams with 2 wins or less.  If they're going to do anything it has to be now.

Cooper or Burton

Just to play devils advocate here:

When the 2A was written, the civilians were able to and owned the same weaponry that the armies did.

Rifles, Pistols, Cannons, Knives, Swords, bayonets, Today that is not true. Some call this common sense laws.

So we have already limited the rights. Why regulate a gun now solely based on just it looks "tactical"  (For those that dont know, the difference in the two weapons below are in name and appearance only. They both operate and fire the exact same. One is an AR15 and has a stigma attached to it.

AR-15-VS-Hunting-Rifle.jpg

Not directly related - The maority of gun owners do so within the bounds of the laws.

issue that spawns anti gun movements -  A large portion of  gun violenece is by people who do not own their guns legally.

I got tired of killing Hurts and Howie.....

Got something you wish to discuss otherwise, I'm game.

Yes when 2A was written citizens were allowed to own same weaponry the military did, I'm assuming that includes cannons?

So question is I pay my taxes where is my tank, my F-16 or rocket launcher???

As for AR-15 and correct me if I'm wrong, one of the reasons AR-15 are so popular is because they are here highly customizable, from clip capacity, and ranges of calibre and  velocity if rounds, then the other stuff like hand grips and stocks ect...that are more cosmetic but can improve functionality.

Also I'm not very familiar with bump stocks, can they be used on any rifle or just AR-15???

The issue people have with AR-15 isn't their look or their classification as assault style rifles which is a ominous term at best it's more that if all the rifles out there available to the AR-15 is the most efficient at delivering high velocity rounds accurately and at a higher rate per second than other commercially available rifles.

There's a reason the most used gun in a mass shooting is an AR-15 not only is it highly accessible but it's also highly efficient at doing what it was designed to do, kill other humans or Inflict maximum amount of damage.

I could discuss the gun debate all day and I have elsewhere with others

A poster a few pages back said the conversation is controlled by both extremes and I'd totally agree, the pro gun radicals and the anti gun radicals

I'd hope my views are some where in the middle and im always willing to listen and try to find the middle on both sides.

Having said that I realize this isn't the best place to do that so ..

I made that argument a day or two ago and was vilified for it. I bruise easily so I went in the corner and sucked my thumb.

I feel better now.

I’m with on it. I think if they fall out of realistic playoff contention they’ll bench him and use his ankles bothering him as a reason to do it.

With his track record of health I'm not sure there will be much of a trade market for him.  His contract, and the 49ers actions, have all but dictated they will part ways with him after the season.

I think most teams will be content to wait for him to get cut and negotiate with him as a UFA.  I don't see him as a sought-after trade commodity. JMO

The Titans are also facing the Rams and Saints next.  Without Henry, they are not going to be the same kind of offense.  If the Colts are 5-5 and the Titans are 6-4, I don't see how they don't start Wentz in game 11. Even if the Colts lose and the Titans beat the Texans, I still think they would have to start him again in game 12.

I made that argument earlier in the week. I don’t trust the titans without Henry. I think they win enough games to win that division but they also had Henry and were missing AJ brown and lost to the jets a couple weeks back so it’s not a given that team could absolutely creator. I could see the titans losing the next two weeks and the colts going 2-0 to make it really a 2 game lead since the titans have the tiebreaker.

I don’t think the colts will catch them but if they stay close and are in play if the 7th seed wild card they’ll play him. It’s why beating the jets and jags for the colts is huge. If the colts are worse than 5-5 heading into their matchups with Buffalo and Bucs (week 11 and 12) it becomes more realistic they use his ankle injuries as an excuse to bench him.

49ers gave Garapollo a small signing bonus, and instead gave him more per game and workout bonuses. He'd cost $25,600,000 for one year.

They don't. If I want to apply for a permit for it and pay big bucks to have said permit I can own one.

Have to do more than pay big bucks one has to apply get fingerprinted fbi background check and Interview the whole 9 yards.

Why not do the same for AR-15 then, would that be limiting your rights?

I want no parts of Jimmy G. That said i think the niners beat the cardinals this weekend. Murray dealing with a shoulder and ankle injury. He likely plays but is going to be limited. Hopkins likely goes but is limited and green has Covid. The niners are gonna win that game.

I'd much rather draft a guy (not necessarily this coming draft).  Get a cost-controlled QB for 5 years (plus franchise tag if needed for another year).  I think folks are too attached to the idea of having to find a "generational prospect" at QB.  Draft the guy who fits your scheme and develop him.  Not sure Sirianni and Steichen are capable of molding a future franchise QB -- but only one way to find out.

I'll be rooting for Wentz today because I think if he stinks it up and they lose to the Jets, all bets are off.

I don’t doubt the Colts might want to do it.  And they don’t have to answer to the Eagles or other teams for making a lineup decision based on a draft pick.

But they might have problems with the locker room.  And I suspect they might have issues with Wentz and the NFLPA.  I said this before…they might take issue with players under contract being traded to new teams with conditions that disincentivize the new teams from giving them playing opportunities.  That could be a real point of contention.  We are involved in both the sending and receiving end of such trades with Wentz, Flacco, and Minshew.

I think the idea of sitting Wentz is more difficult than the reporters suggesting it believe.  I found this:

Those escalators could be significant and impact whether a grievance would be filed if the Colts sat a healthy Wentz and could be viewed as having prevented him from achieving that escalation. He is probably not the only player with an escalator or incentive clause that could be impacted by sitting Wentz.  If he is playing well and healthy, I just can’t see it.

So was Cooper the correct answer?

I think he had 3 TDs in that game.  Djax had 1 wide open.  Shady I think caught 1.  Who else?
