Foolish response.

Wow ok, lighten up...

I've had my fair share of speeding tickets, most are 5-15, one was 20 over, havent had one in a long while pretty much since I had kids, that changes things.

My wife is more of a stickler she does if ever 5 over at most.

My friends Dad would never go over the speed limit he was routinely under because he was a devout Christian and thought by going even a mile over the posted speed limit was breaking the law and therefore a sin🤷‍♂️

Again though doesn't explain why they make cars go so fast?

The top speed limit around the country other than Montana is 85, and that's usually out in the middle of no where on long stretches of highway.

If the highest speed limit in the country is 85 then why do car manufacturers make cars that far exceed that limit?

What part of Vermont are you in? I love driving through there, so green!

Grew up in Bennington (which is where I hit the deer)... I now live up in South Burlington.  Not so green right now.  Where do you normally go in VT ?

I've kind of shifted on Ridder and soured on Corral. Ridder checks a bunch of boxes. In fact, he's probably the most palatable QB option in general right now for me.

I don't mind Ridder in comparison to some of the others, but he still runs too much for my liking, and I don't think he's built sturdy enough to handle the contact in the NFL

He reminds me of a young Kaepernick; tall and lanky who likes to run, and a strong but erratic arm.  I wouldn't take him before the 4th round personally.

I've driven thru a few times on my way to the White Mountains in New Hampshire. Last time I went I stayed at an Air B n B in Morgan, right on Seymour lake on my way back home. It was beautiful, saw a big storm pass over the mountain across the lake. I've seen a few bears on the stretch between the Quebec border and the route south. The highway there has like a mini forest separating the north and west lanes, so it seems very conducive to wild life crossing.

You keep coming back to this question as if it is in any way shape or form relevant.  It is not.

In other words, just because you CAN do something does not mean that you SHOULD.

But, let's take your previous post a little more.

Ruggs - compound stupid actions.  Death as a result.

Teens do foolish things... so they are incapable of making good decisions?  Or should never be held accountable for foolish decisions?   If you feel that way, then we should raise the legal age for a driver's license, shouldn't we?

Fewer accidents if the speedometers didn't go up to 130?   Might want to check the statistics to see just how few times 130 is reached in an accident... it is usually not related to that ridiculous speed, but far more often someone like your friend driving at a 'normal' speed (65 being reasonable on the right roads), but doing so on the wrong road, in the wrong conditions, etc.

Having a car that you can punch to get up to speed quickly on an onramp is actually a very important feature in highly populated areas.  One area of I-95 near me, you either get up to speed in under 3 seconds, or you don't get on the road.  There's no benefit of the space needed to get up to highway speeds over a long distance that exists in more rural areas.  It needs to happen quickly to happen at all.

You want to focus on the car as the problem.  It is not the problem.  The person behind the wheel is the problem.  No one is forcing the driver to drive at 130mph, just because the car can do it.  No one is forcing the driver to drive twice the speed limit on roads that were never designed for that.  It is about personal responsibility.  The driver is responsible for the driver's actions.

Only teams with a bye falling in a certain week win the Super Bowl.  Only 3 other teams on bye with the Eagles this week.

Lol I meant the odds of Minshew taking us to the SB and winning

I mean, do people accused of murder ask why gun manufacturers make guns that can kill people ??

Not sure at what point you decided I was a proponent of reckless driving or that I think teenagers aren't capable of making good decisions.

All I said is that my friend hit a deer he was doing about 20 mph over the speed limit and the deer went over the car instead of through the windshield and a cop said if he wasn't spreeding the deer could have gone through his windshield.

As we know  teenagers are more prone to impulsivity due to their frontal lobes not being fully developed, I also would say teenage boys also have higher levels of testosterone which may lead to more risky behavior in young males, which doesn't excuse their actions but could explain why they make so many dumb choices.

I could of said all that earlier but figured it wasnt really relevant and thought it might be more appropriate to post a video from the movie vacation with a Ferrari and a good looking lady

Apparently I was wrong.

Also I've lived in highly populated areas and I didn't need a Ferrari to be able to get on a free way ramp, my beater car did just fine.

You ever eat squirrel? Any kind of "weird" game that you've tried?

Squirrel, Rabbit, Grouse, Pheasant, Turkey, Bear, Moose, Elk, Deer, Caribou, Antelope, Rattle snake, Frog, Gator, Ground Hog, Possum, Grasshoppers, Ants,  and Feral Hog. I don't care much for squirrel or rabbit much anymore, didn't care for groundhog either. There's probably something I'm forgetting in there.

Apparently I was wrong.

Here's how it happened... When it was pointed out that the speeding to avoid having a deer land on your windshield was a bad idea... and you then tried to defend it.  I pointed to a few reasons why it is foolish and reckless, and you wouldn't just let it be.  Since then you've twisted and turned to try to justify it.  Teenagers do foolish things.  That's not a defense.  Cars shouldn't be made to drive 130.  Irrelevant.   Now you go to testosterone.  Ok.  People do foolish things.  Granted.   Now that we've established that... your friend was driving foolishly, and the cop made a foolish remark to that foolish teenager, that could lead to him continuing to drive foolishly in the future.   And if no one ever calls out the foolish for being foolish... then more people act in that same foolish manner.

Your friend's anecdote is not something to be hailed as a solution to the dangers of hitting deer with a car... i.e. the odds are better when you are traveling at higher speeds.  That's just ridiculous and dangerous.  And that's why I said something.  I started with merely 'bad idea'.  And I added more detail to illustrate why it is dangerous as you continued to try to defend his behavior.

Oh and man has got to be one the stupidest and easiest things to hunt. They do the same thing at about the same time every day, and have terrible instincts and no real defense mechanisms (great sight, great sense of smell, great hearing, ect)
