Little info about D will for the uninformed non jazz fans

He was drafted 3rd overall 4th overall was Chris Paul 🤷‍♂️

As we know d will is out if the league has been for a few years now, meanwhile Paul is still going strong, so why did jazz take Williams over Paul

A few years earlier the jazz drafted Raul Lopez from Spain to be john Stockton's back up and eventual replacement  he was kind of skinny and small like Stockton but unlike Stockton he got hurt all the time and the jazz gave up in him and he went back to spain to watch the gasol bros from the bench.

Thinking was Williams at about 6'3" over 200 ponuds was bigger and sturdier than the much shorter Paul and if I remember Paul had had an ankle Injury as well so jazz went with D will

At first it looked like a great pick D will led the jazz to the playoffs made multiple all star teams while Paul seemed was on a different team or hurt every week

Then D will got in a verbal altercation with legendary head coach Jerry Sloan, Sloan threatened to retire, d will forced a trade then got fat hurt out of shape out of the League.

Meanwhile Paul just keeps plugging away making all star teams and killing dudes

So there you have it, some useless info that you might of not ever known and now that you do don't care that you do😁

Mental? Does it bother his psyche that much to be benched and have someone do well? Can't handle it? Isn't this the second time he did this? He must be quitting on the fans. He's mentally weak.

Or does that narrative only work with Wentz?

I might be mistaken, but @austinfan aren't you the one that keeps insisting our team is bad at pass blocking?

What?  Interesting you went in this direction.  I take it to mean he was working in the film room, pre snap reads, post snap reads, that kind of stuff.

at least he is honest

Does this mean he just sits in the locker room and thinks?  Have any of the reporters asked what mental work is?  I really think mental is becoming a new buzz word that no matter how you use it, it must be serious.

You're telling me that Hurts spent the entire week doing mental work.  No rehab?  Nothing physical?  It's such a cop out answer that is used to make themselves sound more dedicated than someone else.  Oh, Hurts is working on the mental side of the game.  GREAT. It doesn't mean anything. Tell me you watched film of your mistakes or you're trying to understand your protections better or that you watched film only focusing on players who are running wide open that you don't even see.

I hated that answer when Sirianni said they worked on the mental side of things instead of OTA's.  I hate it now.

Listen, I agree with you.

Having said that, I purposely said that to show how foolish and unsubstantiated it was to make said claims, just as it was with Wentz.

The Eagles could improve year over year from 4 wins, to 9 or even 10 wins — and you’re still griping about how Sirianni handled OTAs??

Looking back at it all now....we've had one of the healthiest seasons in recent years. Maybe his strategy actually worked?

I'm not griping, just stating a fact that the mental aspect was used for that too.

How many weeks did it take for the Eagles to find their identity?  Do they even have one yet?  They didn't install any offense until TC.  That sort of thing should be done during OTA's and mini camp, not TC when you should be fine tuning the team and finding out who your best 22 are.

I'd argue that this years win total and product that we see on the field for the Eagles should be taken with a grain of salt.  We shouldn't expect to see this same style of offense next year and the years that follow.

A run heavy offense that depends on your QB running the ball 10-12 times/game is not sustainable in the NFL and I would bet my life that Sirianni does not want to run the offense to cater to Jalen Hurts strengths and weaknesses.  Sure, the offense is churning out rushing yardage and they've had some wins because of it.  When they depend on the pass however, they seem to lose.  Not a recipe for continued success in the NFL.

So at the start of the year, we were very pass heavy. And even with much debate in here about it, Sirianni was able to get WR's open.....it just turned out that our QB couldn't recognize the open guys, nor get the ball to them effectively. So he changed gears, took the ball out of the QB's hands (because he couldn't handle it), and started winning with a power rushing game that plays to our strength (the o-line).

They can't rely on the pass to win, because they don't have a QB that can run the proper offense. The fact that he was able to change gears and design the offense to limit his most limited player, is a very good sign. It'll be interesting to see what Sirianni can do with an actual QB who can pass (and Minshew isn't really that guy either, but you saw how open the WRs/TEs were last game).
