Are you worried Hurts can’t overcome with his SWAG

Should be able to beat the Giants this Sunday with special guest head coach Rich Kotite

I believe everything (meaning Hurts 2022) will depend on how the next 3 weeks plays out. If the Eagles finish strong and/or get to the playoffs it’s a safe bet Hurts will continue as Eagles QB next season, and they build the roster aside from QB.

If the team stumbles (meaning they lose in Washington and against DAL) and finish under .500 then it’s an easier decision to spend resources on trading/drafting a QB.  Right now if I had to bet I’d guess the Eagles finish 9-8 and Hurts is back, whether that’s a playoff berth this season or not.

I'm worried we will see confusion leading to delay of games, oddly used timeouts, bad 4th down decisions and so forth.

Rob Maaddi has never given me any reason to believe he would just make something up.  Everything about the tone of that tweet makes me think Banner has something personal against him.

Really worried about this game if Sirianni is out.  He doesn't exactly have a veteran staff to take on the duties.

He’s not really a veteran himself.

If they play well and take care of the ball the’ll be successful.

Out of all teams, the Eagles are probably one of the best to handle a HC missing a game.

@LeanMeanGM  Eagles 27 Giants 23

BONUS: DeVonta with 100+yards receiving

He isn't and he really struggled early in the season with some things.  He has improved greatly since then but that's what I'm worried about are mistakes like we saw early season.  Possibly worse since it will be someone even less qualified to be a HC in that first time role this game.

How can this statement even be made?  It's the youngest overall least experienced coaching staff in the league.  Eagles went with these super young coaches all over the place.

Easily. Sirianni is a young, not very experienced head coach. So it’s going from "the youngest overall least experienced coaching staff in the league” to "the youngest overall least experienced coaching staff in the league”. They aren’t losing a Reid/Payton/Belichick. He also said he and Steichen have been splitting play calling duties throughout the season, so it’s not like they are losing a McVay and relying on someone else whose brand new to play calling. It’s not even a super complex offense to call plays for. Petullo is in charge of coin toss which isn’t rocket science, going for it on 4th (which they have a chart for) and challenges (which they have guys in the booth for). It’s just one game. He can lean on the conservative side and probably not have any problems.

I never thought it possible, but he’s been extra crusty on Twitter lately.… The good news with all of this Hurts hype is that if the Eagles do upgrade, they can probably recoup a #1 pick by trading Hurts away.

Eagles 30, Giants 21

Bonus: Goedert 3rd straight 100 yd game

@LeanMeanGM

@LeanMeanGM

Eagles - 24

Giants - 13

Bold Prediction: Giants have less than 200 yards of offense.

A team with Reid/Payton/BB are better suited for a game without their HC because they have very experienced coaching staffs, many of those type of staffs will have former coaches and/or long time coordinators and/or up and coming coaches who will get interviews and some maybe jobs as HCs next year. You are making it sound like Sirianni is completely useless.  That game management and making decisions under the stress of the moment in game is just this easy common skill that everyone has, especially those without any experience in it.

Lol sure. I’m sure the Saints were thrilled with losing Payton, their long time play caller and offensive guru for de facto HC, Defensive Coordinator Denis Allen :wacko:

You act like they are losing him for the season. It will be one game and they will be fine. Petullo has been in the NFL longer than Sirianni. Steichen has been in the NFL roughly the same as Sirianni. Sirianni coached 14 games. It’s not a big deal he misses one. Even the beat writers aren’t making a big deal about it because everyone knows it’s not.

It’s not even like Sirianni has been perfect this season either. He’s had his collection of gaffes and questionable decisions. For one game it’s basically a net neutral circumstance.

If the Eagles lose 13-7 again he’ll be left with this Tom Jones classic on an infinite loop:

To be fair, if you polled all 32 teams if they would rather lose Belichick or Reid for a week and a game, it’s a foregone conclusion all 32 would cross out both and pencil in "Nick Sirianni”

After all, Lurie comes up with the game plan and Roseman calls the plays anyway.  We don't need Nick....😏

Just a stupid argument to make, but considering the source it's not surprising.

The offense is pretty simple. Hand the ball off. I'm pretty sure at this point one of us could call the game.

@LeanMeanGM

Eagles - 24

Vagiants - 14

Jalen Reagor over 150 total yards.

Eagles - Win

Giants - Loose

Close game

Bold pick...Hurts throws it to double coverage twice before Eagles decide just to run it again (this time it won't be too late)

Your prediction is that the Giants will be relaxed? How will you know?
