I don't think it's a big deal at all.

Will be interesting to see what they do with Sanders after 2022.  He probably has cheap a 1 year prove-it deal in his future for 2023.

The Eagles won’t give him much, but they’d probably float the aforementioned deal to him.  Running behind this OL for another year will be appealing to him, but his usage here will not.

Will WASteam be eliminated with a L tonight?

So if a guy like Isaiah spiller (RB from A&M) is there in the 3rd round, what’s everyone thoughts on grabbing him? Sanders won’t be here long term, and I like Gainwell but think he’s more of a complimentary back. Would give us a nice trio next year mixed with possibly Hurts to keep rushing attack really strong. Just a thought

Doubt he lasts past the second rd. Would be thrilled to get him in the third

One thing I would be worried about going forward is the decline in our red zone efficiency.

We had been running in the high 60%.  But have been closer to 50% over the past four games.

Giants are putrid. We are mediocre. Smith is excellent

Technically, no.

Last shot to have me on suspension for a month.  Minus something extremely odd happening, the Eagles would have a first round date in LA with the Rams, or in TB with the Bucs.

If you believe any of the bolded that you said, make the bet.

But come playoff time we will have the leagues best offensive line and running game with a team that is confident behind it.  Underdog mentality and all of that.  This team is capable of a first round upset.  They can't play like they did on offense if the first half today but they have the ability to beat most teams in the league if they manage to put it together for 4 quarters.

I'm not backtracking.  I think they are capable of it.  That isn't saying they will do it, just that I believe they can do it.  You are so desperate for a reason to root against this team more openly than you already do.  Why do you even follow this team still?  You dislike so much about it and you don't live in the Philadelphia area.  All  you do is spread hate about everything that you don't like about the team.

QB sneak TD's are going to inflate that number and Hurts not seeing wide open guys in the end zone will bring it down.  They have been very good in the RZ.  Would LOVE to see a fade to JJAW!!

While I criticize Hurts a lot, a running qb is very helpful in red zone situations.  The field condenses, the time to throw condenses, and even good passers struggle to go through progressions.  The threat of bouncing it outside and running it for a 5-6 yard TD is tough on a defense.  Not to mention, our OLs ability to reliably push forward for 3+ when when the other team knows it’s coming can make them unstoppable at the goal line.

They are sort of built to be a team that doesn’t get to the red zone often but usually capitalizes on it when they do.  The dip in efficiency is probably a result of Hurts being banged up and running less in those situations.

Their defense is better than average, though.

 But…why??

You mean like the one that Slay should have made today?  Sadly, Diggs is a top corner in the game.

He’s not Slay, but he’s very good.

I'm kidding but it was a huge strength of his at Stanford.  When they drafted Goedert they also talked about him being a serious RZ mismatch.  I don't know why we don't see more jumpballs for guys who can play above the rim.

No one to throw a jump ball

First half was worse than a 4th preseason game. Giants sucked harder in the second half and Eagles took advantage of generous fields. Singleton had a pick 6.

No not really

Sanders May be done for year with fractured hand.

Scouring the practice squads - the only RB name I recognize from previous draft study is Divine Ozigbo… might have to roll with Scott/Gainwell.

Looks like our run game is so good that the opponent loses the following week too (as I watch the WAS defensive line fight amongst themselves).

Giants have a good defense. Some big DL and it's coached well.

"Sustainable” is a relentless buzz word in the food and clothing industries.  It should be in the nfl.  In this era of no dynasties or superteams, every team enters the season with a pretty low chance of winning a SB.  The best way to nab one is to have a sustainable blueprint.  Be a top 5-7 team year in, year out.

An elite pure passer is sustainable.  An elite OL is sustainable.  An elite RB is not sustainable.  A qb who throws for 150 yards and runs for 150 is not sustainable.  They get hurt, get old and their running degrades.  Even in their prime when healthy…sure…they can confuse, stupify, and take down even a top defense for a game…but relying on broken backyard scampers isn’t sustainable week to week.  There is a reason Hurts has never strung together good games…and it’s not because he’s young and inexperienced; it’s the way he plays.

In 1970-2000’s, an elite defense was a sustainable way to compete.  Not so sure about that anymore.  But that’s a different discussion.

Leonard, Dx.Lawrence, Ojawari… they have some good pieces. Statistically, their D is garbage but they have to play along side of their offense every week.

In reality, Diggs is a guy who helps both teams score points.

Did anyone ever give the 3 QBs who had 500 yard days?

It’s not accurate. There have been a lot more than only 3.
