I discovered two other RBs I like last night. Should be available later.

Zamir White- I guess he split the workload with James Cook and maybe that kept him a bit more out of the spotlight. But I happen to think Zamir White is one of the better RBs in this whole draft. I really think he has excellent vision. Hes more of a strong runner, but he does have a really effective jump cut. Plenty of wiggle. Always falls forward, which I love. Not a 4.3 guy but pretty good speed. Reminds me of a prime DeMarco Murray. Hes more dangerous on the edges bursting through with good explosion, but he will definitely stick his nose right up the middle and run behind his pads like a pin ball to pick up tough yardage as well.

In this video, this is every carry from 2020. He will only be getting stronger. You can find a little but of stuff from this year if you want to look.

And the other one is Brittain Brown. Hes big, hes fast. He has excellent balance. He is strong enough to run out of arm tackles. And I love that he loves to use the stiff arm in the open field.

I was looking at White not long ago.  I like him.

Enough money will always allow you to pay for better.  Healthcare, education, security, etc.  And of course money tracks across generations.  It's never going to be fair.

The debate is where and how heavy handedly you want the government to draw the lines between the bottom percentile with no options, the middle group, and the top group that pays for options.  And that line drawing debate can go to CVON.

Did not know that... but he fits perfectly here then!

Having just read the posts about the draft, has anyone looked at the impact of drafting 3 players in the first round on a franchise?  Anecdotally, I don't recall a lot of success from the Browns/Vikes when they did it.  My gut feeling is that at least 1 1st round pick will be moved to next year - especially if there is potential to go get a QB in 23 draft or at least the option to do it. It makes sense to give yourself that flexibility, or pick at another position.

My guess is those teams felt they could swing for the fences on at least one of the 1st rounders way more than they normally would. I don't think the 2013 Vikings would have picked Patterson or the 2017 Browns would've picked Njoku if those teams were picking in the exact same spot but with only one 1st rounder.

But a team with 2 1sts? I love what the Ravens did in this past draft. Value wise, might be my favorite recent draft in the whole NFL.

I like a lot of middle-round RBs.

I agree there's no elite-level RB prospect in this class. That will come next year with some combination of Robinson, Gibbs, Ibgrahim, Bigsby, etc.

I like this year’s class in terms of finding committee backs, especially a Jordan Howard type.

Yep.  Bunch of guys who don't catch it,  but run good decisive strong runners.

POV: It's 4:36 PM on Sunday afternoon.  The Eagles are down 35-31 to the Redskins with 4 seconds left in the game at the Redskins 3 yard line.

Can't be, he went through his reads.

Agreed.

Right now, I'm looking at...

RD1: DL, CB, Trade down for 2023 picks
RD2: WR
RD3: LB/S
RDs4-7: RB, S, DT, OL

The more I think about it, the more I want to pass on OL in this draft.

Why not just keep Jordan Howard?

Not sure if they were separating QBs in Minnesota, but I doubt if any of his teammates were complaining.

He is the worst kind of QB.  One that makes you think you have one when you really don't.

People talk about the real issues of Sanders not being able to stay healthy.  Neither has Howard in his stints with the Eagles.

Fair.  Just only draft one after the real needs have been addressed.

I haven't looked at that history; however, regarding moving one of the 1sts to next year, the history of those kinds of trades almost always has the 1st move down in the current Draft (either to later in the 1st round or into the 2nd round in addition to picking up the 1st round pick in a future Draft, so the number of rookie players going through Training Camp is not typically reduced by a trade like that .  Further, especially for late-1st round picks, the player chosen with the moved down pick is often just as good as the player that would have been from the original pick.  Goedert is a good example of that phenomenon.

Yep, 4th round prob earliest I’d go, maybe take spiller if he’s there in the 3rd

And let's say someone is still there?

Example?

Clelin Ferrell from Clemson was a DE taken at #5
Solomon Thomas from Stanford was a DE taken at #3
Leonard Williams from USC was a DE taken at #6
Dion Jordan from Oregon was a DE taken at #3

Do any of those recent examples meet your criteria?

So If Linderbaum is there when the Eagles pick in the 1st Round, you would pass on him?

I think he'll go top 15, but yes.

Taking a C in RD1 is poor value, especially one that likely won't hit 300 lbs. I'm not drafting a C in RD1 unless he has perfect measurables for the position. Besides, Stoutland has shown he can take late-round picks and turn them into starters. We have Seumalo, Dickerson AND Driscoll on the roster can that play center. Personally, I would turn Seumalo into a C as I don't want to move Mailata/Dickerson. Seumalo is 6'4, 303. He has seen enough football to help in blitz protection. Any loss of speed he has due to the foot injury matters less at C than G.

I would.  We have solid options for the IOL.

We have an abject lack of high-end talent on defense.

He's hurt every game,  and has recurrent stinger issues,  which he got IRd for last time he was here.  Just had another one.  That's not good.

I loved both Ferrell and Thomas as prospects; both were taken way too high.  That's the reality of DL becoming a premium position for more and more teams now.

The more I watch Jermaine Johnson and David Ojabo the more impressed I am, though.  I'd be happy with either of those guys at 19 or 20.  Ojabo's production is almost as good as Hutchinson's on the same Michigan DL.  Hutchinson appears to have a non-stop motor, but that shouldn't be a knock against Ojabo.  Johnson has power to go along with speed and he looks quite good playing the run.

Drake Jackson and Kingsley Enagbare look very good too. I'd be inclined to let the board play out rather than force a pick.
