Would be a no for me, but I think some here would be happy to replace him with Hurts.

Definitely a no, but Monday night Stefanski should have been charged with attempted murder, he left a 4th round rookie starting in his 3rd game 1on 1 against Watt for almost 3 quarters?  That was done on purpose to finally get Mayfield out to get his shoulder surgery, or Stefanski just hates him.

I know they did it for money, but adding a 17th game was absolutely pointless for the product on the field. So many games this weekend have absolutely no stakes, and they are wasting some good annual matchups like Eagles in Dallas. Chargers/Raiders is about the only important game.

To add on to your post and I’m glad you brought it up, i thought the last 3 weeks the eagles have really done a less than stellar job coming out of the gate ready to go. In the first Washington matchup, they found themselves down 10-0 after the first quarter. Against the Giants they were tied at 3 at the half. Last week found themselves down 16-7 at the half. In the playoffs against better teams like the Rams, the Packers, bucs i think that snowball that turns into an avalanche very fast if that’s how they come out of the gate.

I think Sirianni has balanced winning and developing Hurts. He has Hurts staying in the pocket, running a lot of play action passes - and Hurts has struggled some games to start. Though it's generally been a team effort.

The offense just isn't that talented right now, without Sanders the run game lacks an explosive element, without a healthy Howard they couldn't pound teams, none of the backs is a great pass blocker, and while Gainwell and Scott are decent receivers, they're not gamebreakers out of the backfield. With Ertz gone, there is no "big WR" to win on 3rd downs. And the WRs are too inexperienced to run a NE type short passing game. Tyree Jackson isn't ready this year to have an impact, and Stoll is still learning the NHL game. Some of this will improve with experience, some with health, but they need to add that big WR and better depth at RB.

There's a lot of potential for growth, and a big WR would make Watkins and Smith more effective, no one fears Reagor. Doesn't have to be a 1st rd type, just a 4.5 to 4.6 type who runs good routes, knows how to use his body for position, and has the body control and good hands to make the tough catch in traffic. This would make those three level routes more effective.

Not #1? They suck

You’ve got to be Fing kidding me. The world has gone completely mad.

He has to know how bad he’s been. No one cares that you’re "playing hurt” if you’re clearly the worst player on the field.

Who would trade for that contract? Detroit, maybe?

Mayfield‘s camp is smart.  A lot of the fan base in CLE was down on him even early in the season because they picked up his option.  His numbers have clearly not been good enough to warrant an extension.

Staying there a 5th year might mean he doesn’t get another starting job elsewhere if his play doesn’t improve.  I think there is a chance he gets traded — too many teams looking for a new QB for next year and not much supply

How many games could Rodgers win with this team? 1, 2?  The defense is mediocre, he has two inexperienced receivers, may not have any RBs, the OL is still learning how to pass block.

I don't care who you put in at QB, this is not a SB caliber team, especially on defense.

Rodgers wouldn't have Adams to throw to. Smith is gong to be very good, but he's still a rookie without someone on the other side to take the pressure off him.

Wonder why that is… 🤔

I really think Doug would be an excellent person for that job. I think he could actually change the culture down there and has the resume to back it up, would be good for Lawrence also.

Also, pass on Baker. I’d rather go the route of Hurts who I think is better & on the rookie deal still.

Caleb Williams was offered a one million dollar NIL deal from EMU alum and long time Pittsburgh Steelers QB Charlie Batch.

I should probably know what this is... but what is a NIL deal?

Replacing an egotistical college coach lacking emotional intelligence is Doug's specialty 🙂

Can we make a trade to get their 1st round pick next year?

That article was posted before week 15 was played.

Regardless... they are a top 10 OL, and I don't think there's any dispute of that.

The Eagles? Definitely. I assume he posted that article because it shows the Bucs in a very high position. 4 weeks in the NFL is an eternity though, so the article has no relevance at all.

It's PFF, so its relevance has always been in question.

But, yes... he generally only posts things that are favorable to the Bucs, because he's got nothing better to do.

The money grab to be made was an extra bye week (probably aligned with the silly London games/ThNF, so teams get decent rest).

O’Brien over Caldwell or Pederson?  Not that it matters with Khan keeping Baalke but he can’t be stupid enough to think those two could get along.

That's actually an interesting thought... combine the Thursday night games with the London games.... and have a bye before the London game.  10 days rest on the front side, 10 days on the back side.  And no team has to deal with the travel as a major issue, as they can travel a couple days before hand and travel back the day after.   By the time Sunday rolls around, they are back on a regular schedule.   Also, Londoners get a chance to see almost every team that way.

Makes too much sense though.   Will never happen.

Isn't is so strange? It does just make an incredible amount of sense, the players you would think would be all for it as well. Yet....they just won't do it.

I would be willing to bet , that 3 weeks didn’t drop the cowboys that far Bucs from 2 to 18 ? No way

I am about to get on the road now , I’ll get the new rankings later , again I’m pretty sure the difference is who is doing the rankings , and not that those teams all dropped that far , in that period of time .
