You make a 40 minute stop for fast food?

For those attending the game.

Hmmm ok how about this: 2 TDs are scored in the game by players who had 0 receptions/carries/passes in week 1.

Spicier?

Respect!

I like the chicken at KFC but hate their sides.  So I hit Boston Market for sides on the way back.

@LeanMeanGM bold prediction: next week we have a long discussion about who has the best fast food burger and who has the worse fries

It’s 5 guys for both. That one is easy

What's the issue with their fries?

So… uhh… I’ll just leave it at that.

The answer to this is also 5 guys.

I am still amazed to see the Andy Reid coaching tree.  Here is his staff in his first season (1999).

Rod Dowhower (OC)
Jim Johnson (DC)
Juan Castillo (OL)
Brad Childress (QB)
David Culley (WR)
Leslie Frazier (DB)
John Harbaugh (ST)
Ron Rivera (LB)
Pat Shurmur (TE)
Steve Spagnuolo (Quality Control)
Sean McDermott (Scouting Coordinator)

Out of eleven guys, SEVEN went on to become Head Coaches.  None of whom were the coordinators.  You can criticize some of their failures as HC, but to get there is still an accomplishment.

Oh....this list doesn't include Pederson and Nagy, who arrived later.

David Culley is a Head Coach too.  I know, it's the Texans -- but he's 1-0

I wish we still had Boston market here. They got rid of all the ones where I live. There sides were my favorite part.

Oops.  22 years later, but I guess it still counts.  Thanks.  Will edit.

Nice. Greg Ward breakout game.

The 2016 team cratered b/c Wentz cratered, 7-1 TD/Int his first four games, 9-13 the rest of the way. Y/A also cratered. Some of that was the Lane suspension, but 7 sacks the first 4 games, 26 the last 12, so it wasn't like the OL collapsed. But the real problem was probably teams realizing there were only two legitimate receiving targets, Ertz and Matthews. Sproles, Burton, Agholor and DGB were not going to beat you.

Which is why there was talk of firing Reich, on the one hand Peddy had fixed a toxic clubhouse under Kelly, on the other, the young QB had clearly regressed. Wentz wasn't that young, turned 24 in December of that season and had come out of a pro style college offense, even at a lower level. So it's not surprising the FO was frustrated.

I don't think we'll see that repeated, the skill players are far superior, the OL is deeper, while they had Peters, Kelce and Brooks, Barbre at LG and Vaitai having to start 6 games at RT wasn't ideal. Wisniewski, Seumalo (R) and Tobin were the other OL.

Aggregate stat mining.  What about pressures, what about the rushing attack, what about penalties?   There's a lot more that goes into it than just sacks and TD/INT ratio.

As for why there was talk of firing Reich... I think the answer goes to Lowie being meddlesome... micro-managing the coaches.   Hire a head coach, let the head coach do the coach's job.  You don't like the job the head coach does, fire the head coach.  But, this crap needs to stop.    Why not try to fire the other coaches, not just Reich?  Reich was Pederson's guy, that's why.  Most of the others were their guys.  So, they wanted to find a scape goat, rather than be patient.  I'd also add... its down right criminal to want to fire an OC after one year when the team goes from where they were with Chip... to 7-9 after the first year, showing progress and developing a young QB.  Expecting a young QB to have a linear progression or just continuing growth without rough patches is just naive.  But... such are Lowie.

But, we know they are somehow related to you, so you'd never criticize Lowie.

next question

In N Out is vastly overrated.   That said, I don't like any fast food burgers anymore.   Much prefer... surprise... mom and pop shops and independent restaurants.   Love me a good "Charlie's" burger in Folsom.

Ward/JJAW/Scott/Howard/Aiyuk/Sermon are all possibilities.

The problem was the team and QB didn't show progress, they clearly regressed the rest of the season. That's not promising. Any FO would have been upset.

They went 2-9 before winning the last two games at home.

They beat the Giants and Cowboys the last two games, but not sure either team had much to play for, Cowboys had clinched the division by the Giants game and rested their starters for the Eagles. The Giants at least were trying to win, outgained the Eagles 470 to 286 but Eli threw 3 picks, including a pick 6.

It's not gonna compete with higher end options, but for a $3 burger, it's pretty tough to beat.

Sure.  What about the defense?  Did they also regress?  Allowed over 23 ppg for the final stretch, but not a peep about firing Schwartz, in fact, on the contrary discussion of replacing Pederson with Schwartz.

Face it... Lowie can't keep their fingers out of the soup.

We had Boston Market for a couple years in Spokane, and then both locations closed, when it seemed they were always buys.  Loved that place, was bummed it closed.

The worst part, I work across from a sign place, and in their back lot which I drive past every morning, the old Boston Market sign is leaned up against the fence.  I am reminded of it every day.

Never heard of it, but if it's a $3 burger that can compete with In N Out, I might have to make a road trip one day.
