They have a lot of upside but i tend to think it’s going to take them time to reach it. Unfortunately Watkins didn’t play enough last year to allow me to think he’s going to be consistent off the bat. Reagor had his issues and i don’t think got great coaching last year so i think takes him time. I expect smith to be the best cause i think he came in very polished. However i don’t expect jefferson or lamb (when Dak was healthy) type numbers. Pulling for hurts but at this moment he’s not as good of a passer as Dak was when lamb entered the league nor cousins (even if cousins is overrated he has still shown he can sling the football). I also think guys like thielen and cooper/Gallup helped those guys to take pressure off them
September 7, 20214 yr I got this one from Howie's cook book called "The Rib Factory": Remove the membrane from rack of ribs. Season both sides of ribs with salt and black pepper. Cut between each bone to separate rack into individual ribs. Arrange ribs, cut side down, in two layers in microwave safe dish. Add water. Microwave, covered, on HIGH 8 minutes. Turn ribs over. Microwave on HIGH 7-10 minutes or until Pocket Thermometer registers 160°F when inserted into meatiest part of ribs alongside bones and ribs are no longer pink.

I also think guys like thielen and cooper/Gallup helped those guys to take pressure off them The thing with Watkins is that we've seen he has the speed to stick in the pros. Those little WR screens or dump offs at the line that he takes for long TDs are the most impressive thing with him. It's sort of easy to just get the ball in his hands, and let him do his thing. I agree I expect the most from Smith, and honestly think he flirts with a 1000 yard season. Maybe 6-8 TDs or so. I would be happy with that. Reagor is the real wild card. He has shown that he does have the speed required to stick in the league. But from the outside looking in, it appears most of issues are mental. Can he stay focused? Can he run his routes full speed even when he knows the ball isn't coming his way? Can he learn to run crisp routes that don't allow CBs to undercut him for INTs (thereby destroying his QBs trust)? I'm really hoping that Smith and Watkins can take some pressure off Reagor. The one thing about Hurts, is he does seem to be able to hit guys in stride. It was a frustration I had with Wentz, that he seemingly had difficulty leading WR's and TEs, and it really limited YAC. Reagor and Watkins especially need to get the ball in stride to take full advantage of what they can do best. Overall, I'm actually optimistic the WR situation has been figured out. Of course, if Hurts is really bad, it's all moot.

Of course, if Hurts is really bad, it's all moot. I tend to believe teams are going to try to take what Watkins does well like those dump offs and screens and being physical with him so he’s going to have to adjust. I don’t think he got enough snaps and time last year to see the league eventually adjust to him. I think he does eventually make the adjustment and becomes consistent but i generally think it’s not going to be week in and week out consistency. I think by the end of the season he’s likely much closer to that. exactly what i tend to think. Somewhere around 850-950 with 5-6 tds is what i expect if he stays healthy. If he does more than that then it’s gravy to me. ive always thought reagor reminded me a lot of Chris chambers. He had the speed and athleticism to be successful in the nfl. However i question if the eagles are struggling or not good how he deals with it. Even in college he would give up on routes and mentally check out when they weren’t good or the freshman TCU qb didn’t look his way. I really don’t know what to expect. Sirianni’s background should help reagor as he’s done some good things teaching the WR position. I think part of the attraction to sirianni was his ability to develop and utilize young players especially WRs. they need to get creative to get the ball in their hands. I say like deebo Samuel and aiyuk who shanahan finds ways to get them incorporated even when it’s not the passing game. I think both can be utilized to do some of things Samuel and aiyuk do. That was a source of frustration we doug and the offense last year and even in 2019. i think the passing game comes down on how fast the trio becomes at being consistent and hurts ability to become a better passer.
September 7, 20214 yr Looking ahead to Sunday, I like our chances. Atlanta has a really bad D-line and secondary. It's a great way for our offense to start out, hopefully giving them some confidence moving forward. Our o-line should be able to dominate this game. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if we pile up the rushing yards against them, and I'll put out a prediction that we actually flirt with 200 yards rushing as a team on Sunday. The only guy who gives me pause is Grady Jarrett, but considering they've switched to a 3-4 defense and are listing Jarrett as a DE, I think Mailata/Lane should be able to contain him. The Falcons LB's are also not good, and again our o-line should be able to get to the 2nd level and dominate these guys. I really think we should be able to put up 30 points on this defense. It's one of the worst we'll see all year. Now, their offense could be really tough. Ryan is a savvy vet, though he has historically struggled against us. He's 4-4, 174/296 for 58.8% completion, 2,120 (265 yards per game) with 17 TDs to 12 Ints, and 19 sacks. Their o-line isn't very good either. Our d-line should have the advantage here, and could make Ryan take a bit of beating. Mike Davis at RB isn't a big scare to me, and really we've had good run D for awhile. With our d-line against their O-line, I don't imagine they stick with running very long. Ridley at WR is probably the best player on the field among both teams. Great player. Now the number one guy, we'll see how he responds (I'd expect him to have a good to great year). Behind him, Russell Gage is the #2, and while he had a few nice games and plays last year, he's no Julio. I wonder if Julio's leaving will have an effect from a leadership side as well. Pitts and Hurst are probably the biggest issue we'll have. Though Pitts is an unknown, it would not shock me to see him have a big game against us. I was not one that wanted to draft him this year, but I am glad we get to see him play week 1, as I am very intrigued by him. Overall, I think we control the line of scrimmage both ways, and it turns into a game of ball control. I think we win time of possession easily (the huge rushing day would help), but Atlanta is able to get a few quick strike scores to keep it close. Like almost every game between us it seems, this one will come right down to the end. I think we do enough to pull out the early W, as Atlanta doesn't know how to prepare for Gannon's defense. 24-20 for the Good Birds.

And I still want my $ 1000.00 @Bacarty2, I posted "that you could not ignore me", and then you replied to one of my posts.

September 7, 20214 yr This is all I have so far for predictions, so get them in this week. Will lock it up Sunday @ high noon. If something is wrong or I missed anyone, let me know. @TorontoEagle do you want to be added at 24-20 Eagles?

September 7, 20214 yr A lot of people here are underestimating Dean Pees. He's a top 5 DC and Atlanta is going to throw a lot of funky stuff at us.

The bigger NT in a 3-4 could cause issues for Kelce I'd think, but he's so good that I would also think he'd be able to pass off the DT and then get up to the 2nd level a lot easier than against a 4-3.

I've been preaching and been a member of the Dean Pees fan club. He's going to give some weird looks to confuse Hurts which will probably lead to compounding his already problem with holding the ball too long, which could lead to bad results. Although he will be limited with the quality of his roster as their D-line is pretty bad.

Facing an offense that many project to be bottom half of the league, a running back at QB, etc. Could be a good way for them to start with a good showing to get their confidence up. On paper though, their D looks extremely bad. Like, 30-32 range at the end of the year.
