Really? Hurts knew Reagor couldn't be relied upon to catch anything. So you go to the #1 draft pick, who had to go to the coach and ask for Hurts to throw the ball to him. What happens? Hurts is too stupid to simply glance over at a reliable receiver, a #1 draft pick, WIDE open...and goes to the guy who just DROPPED a TD, who proceeds to drop another one. Some of you will defend that with all your might, but the proof is on film, and film doesn't lie. Smith threw his  freekin helmet in disgust of HURTS. Hurts ignored Smith and chose rock hands to throw to. Your very talented #1 WR is now disgusted with the starting QB.

Defend Hurts if you want to, but I sure as hell hold him accountable for a horrible game where he was so bad, he looked concussed. I could not believe the horrible throws all day. I even said here early in the game, he might be injured or semi concussed. He was THAT bad. I predicted multiple INT's, knowing he was going to throw at LEAST 3 INT's, 4 or more. I was spot on- HURTS SUCKED that badly. And I watched people defend him, even though what I predicted happened. And no, I was NOT happy about being right... I just knew it was coming. I guess some people give a player who sucks that bad a pass.  I'm not. It is inexcusable. Just ask Smith. smh.

Smith's body language on the 1st incompletion (Hurts threw badly behind him and Smith gave him a WTF look) and on one of the INTs (Smith jogged off the field while the DB was still running with the ball) is telling me that Smith has been disgusted with the QB play long before the last 2 plays of yesterday's game.

Coaches fault for putting a completely useless player on the field. Literally any other player would be more effective.

Literally! And why they have him back there returning punts and kicks I have no freaking idea.

I have been telling that to everyone, and nobody believed me. They also didn't believe Smith had enough of Hurts and freaked out and threw his helmet after the the Reagor TD drop- where Smith was WIDE freekin open the whole time. Hurts never threw to his #1 WR, who was open that whole drive, during that crucial drive. Hurts isn't a QB, and Smith knows it very well- more than anyone else. Believe it, doubters, it's all true.

Somebody needs to put up a screenshot..........

He is as awful at punt returning as he is at everything else.

I'll give you this. I also would like a video- haven't found it, but it definitely happened- all the reporters saw it.

He knows Hurts better than anyone. He knows Hurts sucks in the passing game and is sick of it.

I pointed this out weeks ago, but any given game really watch Smith. You consistently see him pissed/saying something to Hurts.

It's true. I backed this guy as far as I could. That stopped yesterday.

I'm not defending Hurts, if you think I was please show me a quote. He sucks. I'm simply pointing out absolutely terrible Reagor is. Saying one guy sucks doesn't mean I'm defending another player by default.

My bad and my apology. Just get very passionate on here after that kind of sheet show. 👍🏻

When you’re scrambling around, you’re not looking for your #1 target, you’re looking for anyone who might be open. You can’t be picky. You’re just nitpicking.

He was totally visible- not hidden. Watch the video. Any of us would have seen him and passed it to him. Why didn't he look for him 1st, and NOT Reagor, who he knew he couldn't trust after the 1st TD drop?? I'll tell you why- zero QB/football IQ. You don't target rock hands- who just screwed you, over your #1 WR. If you can't see that, that's fine. 1,000's of other people saw it with ease.

Unfortunately there isn’t much the coach can do with the roster he’s been given.

This might be an off topic thing to say, but this board/forum is still awesome. I love coming here, even if I get trashed for some of my opinions- all is fair in love and war. I love it here and respect peoples opinions, even if they are...wrong. 😂

Thank you again for the guys that made this forum happen, as well as the mods who keep it together and yell at people like me, if we post something like this in the wrong place. 🤣

Putting any single player on the roster in the game over him improves our chances of winning.

Howie is the one who has control over the roster. The coach can decide who will dress that week (I think) but Howie makes things difficult when he doesn’t provide a lot of other options to pool from.

Yes I can, because it is a fact.

1st half drives

1st drive - 2 runs, 1 pass

2nd drive - 3 runs, 7 passes ( total 5 runs, 8 passes )

3rd drive - 0 runs, 3 passes ( total 5 runs, 11 passes )

4th drive - 10 runs, 5 passes ( total 15 runs, 16 passes )

So another words:

5 runs and 11 passes through the first 3 quarters, only to flip it to 10 runs and 5 passes in the 4th Q is overall balanced offense???

Let's agree to disagree. I call this ....trying to pass the ball and then flipping the script back to what got you the previous wins.

I don't blame Siri for Trying, because Giants were stacking the box...but the game plan was "Spotty".

Overall the bottom line numbers point to a balanced offense but watching I didn't feel like it was. At one point there were 10 straight passes, TEN! With Hurts at QB? Hurts on a bad day too. I mean he shouldn't be throwing 10 consecutive passes on a good day.

Those were the first 4 drives, not per quarter.

I wonder how excited Wilson is gonna be going from throwing to Seattle’s receivers to ours? 🤔

Unfortunately there isn’t much the coach can do with the roster he’s been given.

Remove Reagor from the field,  replace with Tyree Jackson.

The Eagles have 1 very good receiver.   But for some reason they put 3 WRs out there most of the time.   Why is that?

You can finger point,  I guess.  And the Eagles do need to add more big players.   But they do have Tyree Jackson.    With Tyree Jackson, at least you can say "well, he's never been a pass catcher before, ever, except as QB,  and he has top tier TE height and speed, if he lets a whole bunch of passes go through his hands.  Reagor was a first round WR who wasn't a QB in college,  he was a WR all along."

And Terrelle Pryor is available.  He never sucked as bad as Reagor has sucked.

A few weeks ago when Reagor was being discussed,  I was talking about his combine numbers and how he was being used by the Eagles.  I said,  you know, the Eagles are acting like he's a speedy weapon,  agile and quick.   And he's not, not at all.  He's not a guy you want to get the ball in his hands.   Elsewhere I compared him to Tyree Jackson.   Jackson,  with 6'7 height and 249 pounds (kinda a taller Pryor or a taller Logan Thomas)   has a better 10 split than Reagor,  a better 3 cone than Reagor and a better 20 shuttle than Reagor.  It seems that despite the fact that he's 43 pounds heavier,  Tyree Jackson is more capable of doing the short that requires stopping, starting,  turning.    I mentioned that since his 10 split was bad for a WR, but his 4.47 40 was pretty good for a WR,  and his vert of 42 is great,  maybe he would be good at getting separation downfield,  I was guessing he had a good top speed 40 yards downfield,  and his 42 vert would allow him to jump 40 yards downfield.   Those seemed to be the kind of football plays that he would be good at.  But, and I did not know this,  he can't catch.  I was right about his ability to get himself open enough downfield through speed,  at the side of the end zone,  he was there and the ball was there.  But he did not catch the ball.  Did not know that he was do that.  He also does have the jumps to get in position to win the 50/50 ball.  I predicted he would be able to jump well enough downfield.   I did not realize that Reagor could not catch the ball.   On paper,  Reagor should be able to do that.  In reality,  he can't catch.

Maybe Reagor is a running back?   He did have a lot of big runs in college.    He's short for a wr,  yet pretty heavy for a wr.   5105 height.  206 weight.   That's pretty much running back size.  Not a big rb,  (which the Eagles have 1 of, they started winning right when they brought him up from practice squad, and when he got hurt,  they did not replace him with someone who could run and be 230+ pounds.   The Eagles need to find some 230+ back and put him on the practice squad,  so that if Howard is ever hurt,  the Eagles would still have a power back to run between the tackles on first and 2.)  but close enough.   At this point, he seems worthless.   He can catch short easy passes,  but he has the kind of athleticism that works for yac against high school and college players, maybe.  He's just not quick bursty agile.  He has strong legs which makes him a great jumper, and might allow him to break arm tackles if he's a running back running between the tackles, and he might have excellent top speed downfield.   Sorta like Nick Chubb, but 20 pounds lighter.  Perhaps 42 vert = running back weight?  Sorta like,  despite the fact that he's 206,  he runs more powerfully, like a 230 pounder,  because his legs are so strong.   The Eagles can give holes to running backs and Reagor, maybe, might be able to get past the linebackers, and have a very good top speed and strong legs to break tackles downfield, so, maybe,  there are some long runs with high top speeds there.  Maybe.  Maybe Reagor just flat out sucks.  I'd like to see the ball in Tyree Jacksons hands.  I've mentioned before,  more times than most people like, about Mailata as a superweapon.   There clearly is a size problem, and when Howard is out,  the Eagles need more power.   Getting a 230 pound back.  Getting leveon bell.   He was just on the Ravens, he wasn't great, but he's still a heavy back which the Eagles don't have with  Howard out.

Tyree Jackson throwing 60 yards to Reagor sounds like something that could work.   And if it doesn't, it will give defenses something to think about.  Jackson has a huge arm,  one of the biggest in that draft class.  the youtubes have him throwing 55-60 yards regularly.  Reagor should have that excellent deep speed and that excellent 42 vert.   The play could be Jackson throws the ball as far as he can,  and Reagor tries to go get it.  Reagor should have separation 40,50,60 yards downfield and he should have the ability to outjump the db.  So, that would be a very exciting play.  I wouldn't put a high probability of success on it,  if Reagor can't catch,  but the Eagles are putting him out there anyway to do that, so, whatever.  But Tyree should be out there.   If they don't throw at him or have him do anything, that's fine,  he only had 5 snaps against the Giants.   But he's a physical mismatch.   Split him wide, by himself.   Same thing with Smith on the other side.  Goedert at TE, blocking.   Jack Stoll in the backfield, blocking.   Put Andre Dillard in at LT, and put Mailata next to him at TE.   So, that would be Smith Left Flanker,  Tyree Right Flanker.  Mailata Left Tight End Goedert at Right Tight End.
Stoll TE/FB, general run and pass blocking, like a RB.  Hurts QB.  You can switch Stoll and Jackson,  bringing another QB into the backfield.   Stoll LTE,  Goedert RTE,  Hurts QB.  Smith, Jackson, Mailata - Backs.  It seems like Hurts would  benefit from fewer wrs out there and more time to throw.  Mallata would be pass protecting from the backfield.  Any of Stoll Goedert Jackson could be either pass protecting or running routes.  And Smith is running a route.  Perhaps he could run outside?

I think that could work.  Tyree Jackson could run.  Mailata I'm sure could run,  i've seen the rugby highlights, and I see that he could be a lead blocker out of the backfield.  I like that offense, and it leaves about 5 to 8 5'11 200 pound rbs and wrs on the bench.  Remove Stoll, add a rb/wr.

Here's Tyree Jackson at QB,  throwing a lot of 50+ yard TDs and running for a lot of TDs.

He should replace Reagor,  get a lot of snaps.  Ideally,  Tyree plays a back position,  replacing a slot wr,  not one who plays split end.  And Tyree, from a back position,  could be run blocking next to Mailata, or pass protecting,  running, catching, throwing.

He seems to be throwing the ball to Anthony Johnson a lot.  Looks like Johnson caught 25 TDs in 2 years with Buffalo.  Johnson was with NFL teams in the preseason the last 3 years.  Most recently was this year with the Steelers.  He was on the practice squad for 2 years, most recently with Steelers in 2020.  He's a free agent right now.  It seems to me that the Eagles should sign him to the practice squad.  Johnson might or might not be good enough to play in the NFL. He's the 2nd biggest WR after JJAW.  But he does have the proven ability to catch a lot of long TD passes from Tyree.  If you want that, you can get that,  and maybe you want someone for Tyree to throw to in practice.
