I want to see Tyree Jackson.  Smith is good, but the others aren't great,  and they aren't tall either.  Reagor isn't tall, but he can jump,  but he can't catch.

Jackson has been out there, but no targets. Might as well give him a chance. They couldn’t wait to get him back and even traded Ertz away, but still no targets.

  • This season has been funny reading the hot takes.  They beat Atlanta: they're legit! Lose a few, play bad: season's over, they stink. Cut/fire everyone!  Win a few, play better: playoff

  • The Eagles are clearly in cahoots with the alcohol industry.

And Jordan Matthews over Davante Adams. And JJAW over Metcalf.

And LJ over Witten!

I know that wasn't on Howie, but I felt like piling on.

And that's why I find it hard to have faith in this organisation right now. They have a lot of holes and a GM who doesn't have a very good track record in the draft. They have a need at QB but they have needs at other positions that have been overlooked for so long.

I struggle with that too.  On the flip side, I look at a team like the Cowboys who have a stacked roster dripping with talent and still can't win.  I would argue its even harder to build the culture of a championship team than it is to assemble a lot of talent that doesn't sacrifice and play together as a team.

I liked the draft philosophy from the 2021 draft and if they keep that same philosophy for the 2022 draft it will make a huge impact.

I'm just as worried about Siri. Belicheat would have ran it down their throats at every opportunity until it was stopped. Just wish we had a coach that just keeps doing what works instead of getting cute. Gainwell out of the backfield would have been abused by Belicheat as well. Just win the game Siri you don't get bonus points for beauty.

Agreed. I don't understand why Sirianni changed things up after the last 2/3 weeks I really don't. Sirianni deserves credit for changing things the last few weeks but nothing he's been doing is all that creative. It's why I'm hesitant about bringing in a rookie QB. We still don't know what this scheme really is.

The one play he flat out stared down Reagor so the defender moved to him, but the most inexcusable throw to me was the red zone turnover. Completely unacceptable by Hurts. You have to throw that ball away.

Oh... wasn't one play on the stare downs he did it all game and he's been doing it all season. Defenses are on to it.

I'm good with Tyree getting no targets when the Eagles win.  But when they lose,  or are losing,  you throw the ball to the 6'7 249 pound 4.59 40 guy with the 34.5 vert.

Hurts got hurt in this game. He lost his legs.

I hope you are right. Look right now that 2021 draft class looks OK. Smith is a stud, Dickerson looks really really good, the rest is up and down but still early days.

No Jordan Howard this game.   Need a big running back.

No, but at times, it wouldn't hurt for fans to be supportive. I'm sure tearing down each player that made mistakes today will bring better results ...

Fan comments on the unofficial discussion forum have no bearing on the outcome, that's just silly.

Regardless, if players can't handle some fan negativity after playing terribly, they picked the wrong career.

I mean look...Yards are yards. But bottom line a QB has to make plays with his arm. Hurts has made some good throws in previous weeks but today he did not. And all of the concerns that people have about him absolutely showed up again today.

My concern is that good teams' defenses will do to Hurts what we did to Michael Vick. Put a spy on him, shut down his running and make him beat you with his arm. Right now he can't do it.

The one in the middle of the field I kind of felt like the defender got away with some shenanigans on Watkins. Weird that he didn’t finish his route. Still not as bad as the red zone pick.

Every year somebody falls into the running QB trap. It's amazing how many do it every year. An inaccurate running QB has NEVER won it all and the game of professional football is 100% designed to favor the pocket passer. Accept that and you'll experience less stress when a QB like Hurts doesn't perform well.

Pocket passer outside of Brady isn't really a thing anymore. Brady is a unicorn now. Now you have to have both athleticism and pocket ability. Aaron Rodgers set the new mold.

I mean yeah for sure. The Giants said today they wanted to make Hurts beat them with his arm. They respect what he can do with his legs but if you make him beat you with his arm you have a great chance.

Doesn’t hurt to get him at least one or two targets.

Every few years some fans say it will be different this time...the game has evolved...pocket passers are endangered species...

So guys that are talented but with anxiety issues are in the wrong career?

The thing about that is.....Vick has a laser like throw and was pretty accurate.....he could beat you with his legs AND his arm......

Did Sanders get hurt in the game?

Spoiler

The Eagles beat themselves. Some of it was Hurts being terrible. Nick's playcalling was really bad at times situationally, such as going empty formation after running the ball well on 3rd and 4.  Goedert was a non-factor. Reagor's drops.  If the Eagles play this bad next week, we could lose to the Jets, too.  I don't think the Giants did anything particularly well today. This was more of a collective failure on the coaches, Hurts, Reagor and some of the other players taking this game for granted.

Let's see what criptic tweet Reagor has this week

Need a back they can count on. Seems like Howard and Sanders can’t stay healthy, and Scott simply isn’t a guy who should be a 15+ carry guy. Go get a legit back and another receiver.
