I'm sorry, I just can't discount 8 additional TD's and 600+ yds

Are those running yards going to be there against playoff caliber defenses? Against sub par defenses? Sure, and ain't it fun to watch?

  • This season has been funny reading the hot takes.  They beat Atlanta: they're legit! Lose a few, play bad: season's over, they stink. Cut/fire everyone!  Win a few, play better: playoff

  • The Eagles are clearly in cahoots with the alcohol industry.

I disagree a little about the wr's, with a better qb I believe watkins would be better, and smith, well, he'd be one of the best ones being talked about this year, the D played pretty darn good today

Smith is a legit stud no doubt. Watkins is no more than a #3 in the NFL. But they need a lot more despite heavy investment.

I'm sure we don't know the extent of each individual's anxiety. I mean ... anxiety itself is being overcome with fear or doom.  I would believe that  what people read or hear about themselves, especially in a negative form, would possibly contribute to their condition. But if it makes us all feel better calling these players we don't like "mentally weak," I guess we're all the real experts.

Ok, you got a point there. I was angry, but I didn‘t really mean it like that.

He SUCKS! There. Better? ✌️

Our offense is simply too one dimensional, and it’s not because Nick can’t scheme receivers open.

We are .500 or better with a more efficient passer under center.

This season has been funny reading the hot takes.

Lose a few, play bad: season's over, they stink. Cut/fire everyone!

Win a few, play better: playoffs! Winning the division!

Lose 1 game, play awful: season's over, they stink. Cut/fire everyone!

That might be true... But we need to build to be better than just above .500.

What STUD defenses are still out there?  NE? Buffalo? Maybe AZ? GB on the rise, sure.  You're not seeing amazing defenses most likely in the NFC, and we just ran all over the #1 ranked run defense in the NFL last week.

Ain't that the truth.

we all need to settle down with the playoff talk now, now Im just rooting against dallas,

Straw man there. No one said mentally weak and no one was talking about anxiety, you brought that up.

The team played badly. Players & coaches own that and criticize themselves, and chew each other out, hold themselves accountable.

Fans are naturally going to post criticism, just like if a restaurant or product or movie were bad. Stop acting like people don't criticize poor performance naturally, and blame fans for this nonsense.

You're all over the place man.

Not really, you just don't like the alternative I'm presenting. Maybe we can be supportive and encouraging and get better results. I, for one, have found this approach works well in my workplace with adults.

BTW, people are calling some of our players and former players mentally weak. Yes, I brought up anxiety because it's still a lot more common than people think. Players are just now starting to open up about it, but it's a real condition. There's no way to know for sure which players are dealing with it if they aren't open about it, but this kind of overreaction from fans weak in and weak out would most certainly contribute to somebody in this line of work. It's pretty flippant to say they should find a different career.

I turned it off at halftime to spend time in the outdoors. This is my present self thanking my past self for this foreknowledge.

Is foreknowledge  anything like DejaMoo? (The feeling you've seen this bulls_it before?)

I think what our D needs is play makers. We don't need an elite defense because I agree in today's nfl that's almost impossible and not necessary. We need play makers who can force turnovers or come up with big plays in big moments. Our secondary really doesn't do that enough (Slay has had a good year for that but still not great in terms of turnovers) and a DE who can make those big big plays.

Ditto. The Birds made me largely apathetic a long time ago, but I still want the worst for Dallas.

Well I said Reagor is as mental as Agholor was. It felt to me like Reagor can‘t handle the pressure.

It probably was a dumb thing to say.

Well, maybe not everyone. How about Reagor, JJAW, and Howie?

Throw in Gannon and you have a deal.

I mean look...Yards are yards. But bottom line a QB has to make plays with his arm. Hurts has made some good throws in previous weeks but today he did not. And all of the concerns that people have about him absolutely showed up again today.

Jalen has had one half - I don't recall which game - two or three games ago where he looked like an NFL quarterback for the entire half. He's had very good to excellent plays here and there the whole season but that half is the only one I can recall consistently excellent play.

Defenses are using a two-high safeties scheme. Explains why pass heavy offenses are being shut down. At least that's what I read. Not sure I buy that.

Ummm yeah i know the one. Oh it was the Broncos wasn't it? He looked really good in the first half and then had like one completion in the second but a lot of that was due to a heavy run game.

Randall Cobb still playing?

It is true.  Brandon Staley showed the blueprint last year with the Rams D and NFL is a copy cat league.  Much more two high looks and lots of two high shell with safety dropping down at the snap.

Frankly the Eagles run heavy offense is a great counter to this trend.  Too bad Sirianni didn't stick to it as the gameplan for the Giants.  Too much early throwing and Reagor featuring as a reward for doing nothing.

Ok so at this point... What do we think Sirianni wants his offensive scheme to be?

Oh I agree I don't think you need a stud defense. I think you need play makers on that side of the ball. Offense still rules in the NFL.

I'm not thrilled by him, but I think he is limited by both experience and a lack of talent. I was definitely frustrated by that unit for awhile, but they've shown some improvement. I'm not in as big a rush to run him out yet.
