I meant to comment on this before but here's a look at that coveted "loan provision" that you're so proud of: Quote A breakdown of the package from the speaker’s office and House Appropriations Committee touts Ukraine aid as a "loan” and says the legislation "mandates agreement on repayment for economic support by the government of Ukraine.” However, buried in the text is a section that stipulates that the president can cancel up to 50% of the loan after Nov. 15, 2024, with congressional review. After Jan. 1, 2026, any remaining debt can be canceled. So, it's $9B out of $61B but all of it will be forgiven within the next year and a half. Big win! It's a give away. A necessary one that should've been passed months ago, but a give-away none the less. Instead of twisting yourself into pretzels trying to justify why Trump sheet in your mouth on this one you should be glad he finally caved to Biden and got on board with helping our ally drive out the fascists.
