I don't think he's scared but think Trump probably just threatened Putin with more sanctions. If there is a peace deal it surely won't be what everyone wants. I at least will give Trump a 1+ for acknowledging all the loss of life and Putin bombing civilian areas.

Yeah he announced a three day cease fire starting May 8 because he doesn’t want Ukrainian drones hitting Russia’s May 9 parade.

The Easter cease fire wasn’t a cease fire either. They announced it and kept firing.

We’re still in the FA part of the FAFO for trump. Zelensky isn’t going to meet Putin’s demands. How will trump FA with this?

I’m guessing he continues to suckle putin and Ukraine looks to the EU/NATO for support. The war will escalate and we’ll be inching closer to other nations joining in. Basically the complete opposite of what trump said in the campaign clip.

The problem is that when it comes to politics, Americans love The Outsider.

You see, The Outsider isn't embroiled in the day to day of Washington. He's not some regular scum sucking Washington politician. Because, as The Outsider, he's from Outside.

Americans love The Outsider so much that we elected him in '68, '72, '76, '80, '84, '92, '94, '00, '04, '08, '12, '16, and '24.

We historically love The Outsider when he first shows up. We don't love someone with, you know, experience.

Putin had no real reason to concede anything in the peace talks the way Trump's team was posturing. Hopefully something actually comes of this. It may prove to be better than any agreement with Putin.

Now that there is a minerals' deal it appears that Trump's interest in this is gone. Both Rubio and Vance essentially now say the ball is in the hands of Ukraine and Russia. So all that just to get a deal that might get some minerals in the future yet with no actual progress toward a peace deal.
