He's played 14 years there and has only gotten to the playoffs 6 times.  Something like 4-5 straight losing seasons currently. What are they supposed to treat him like he's Brady? McNabb accomplished a lot more here and was traded on Easter Sunday.

Yes we should give the guy the key to the city who had/has 22 allegations of sexual assault allegations against him and never played for the team yet because he wants to come home. Yup that seems like a reasonable thing to say or do

no offense Matt Ryan has done more for that franchise and that city then Deshaun Watson has to be getting the keys to the city. 

Whatever stupid reason you wanna come up with. I wouldnt give it to Matt Ryan either but he has more of a reason to give it to him than watson. Who has done nothing for that franchise yet or that the city. It was a ridiculously poor thing to say.

I wouldn’t give it to Matt Ryan either. I just find it funny they’d use those words for watson. I’m definitely not going to use those terms of give him the keys to the city for a guy who had 22 sexual assault allegations (still has them in civil suits) against him and has done less than what Matt Ryan has done for the city of Atlanta on or off the field. 

I wouldn’t have used it for either watson or Ryan. But it’s really poor choice of words considering everything surrounding watson.

Matt Ryan is the best quarterback in Atlanta Falcons history based off his statistics what he accomplished. Heck he’s top 10 player in that franchises history. yet you, i and the falcons would never say that for him. But watson with allegations levied against him and never playing for them they would. That’s a poor choice of words to use by them.

Watkins should have been playing fulltime ahead of Jjaw and Reagor. Ward easily should have been ahead of JJAW... EVEN NICK FOLES would have been a better WR than JJAW.

lol, most people in this thread would have tripped over themselves to give Watson the keys to the city for Philadelphia before it finally became clear to you all that he has no interest in coming here. 

The team hasn't said anything.  You're getting bent out of shape upset at the Falcons for a figure of speech that a reporter used.

 No way, 9 games a season he plays in a dome including the Saints away game.  
The Colts would be a much better fit.

And I would’ve said the same thing if someone from the Eagles leaked to a reporter they were giving him to the keys to the city to get him here with everything going on. Just say we’re doing everything in our power to get him here. I’d even guarantee those words wouldn’t have been leaked to Anderson from the eagles due to understanding the circumstances surrounding watson off the field. It is a dumb phrase to leak to her with everything going on with watson off the field. Even if you really wanted him. those words weren’t josina Anderson’s  hence the " “ around them 

Also so you know Matt Ryan in Atlanta Falcons history owns almost every single passing statistic that they have. He is the best quarterback that franchise has ever had because Michael Vick decided to be a dumb ass and get himself in the trouble and lie about it to the city, franchise and owner. And he is top 10 (and arguably top 5 player) in that team’s history.

Jeffrey Simmons tore his ACL in mid February and still went #19 overall in the draft. Keep in mind that he also assault a woman in college.
