RPOs are purely because of Hurts limitations as a passer. Steichen said this is the first time in his career he has really worked with them and building an offense out of them and even Sirianni wasn’t doing it with Rivers or other guys he’s been with. I don’t see it as a staple of "his offense”.

Good - I saw Carson doing a bunch of them this year (even though I remember a report saying he disliked them), so I thought we were shackled to the concept.

FWIW, Dan Sileo lists his 3 players the Eagles should have earmarked in the first round.

Tyler Linderbaum

David Ojabo

Andrew Booth

Says Linderbaum would be the best value pick the Eagles could make at #15.  Best C in the country.  Says Ojabo likely has the upside to develop into a Jevon Kearse-type player.  Says Dabo Swinney describes Booth as "electric”

Most folks on here seem to like both Linderbaum and Ojabo.  I will say I like Booth’s film a lot better than Elam’s.  Elam looks like a walking penalty he’s so grabby, while Booth shows really good technique.

Sick of the QB debate. Just bring back Foles.

I love Corral.  Never followed up after their bowl to see how bad his knee injury was.

Corral had a sprained ankle.  They carted him off the field for a sprained ankle.  He’s right there with Drake London at the top of my Do Not Want list.

I guess throwing hard is the same as running fast.

I want to see Strong move well and test well at the Combine, otherwise I’d have no interest.

I don't care how fast he runs, Tom Brady's 40 is timed on a sun dial.

Strong has the requisite arm talent to succeed in the NFL.

If his knee checks out I'd take him in the first.

Brady’s release and processing speed are as good as it gets

I don’t see it either.  He’s Baker Mayfield, at best.

To me, Pickett is one of the better progression read/read the field QBs Ive seen in a while coming out.

He reminds me of a Tony Romo or even a less powerful Matthew Stafford. Im just talking style of course. I know his arm power is avg but to me Id rather have the progression read QB who can read a field and throw all the routes over the cannon arm power. I would not trade a ton to move up to get him but if its a mid/late pick or if slips due to morons wanting Willis or Coral I would take Pickett in a heart beat. I think he fits what this team is looking for in a passing QB.

i know your a Carson Strong guy. I would take him but later in the draft due to the risk of his leg. I rate Pickett higher then him also due to his progressions and reads are more defined and value that more then the arm strength Strong has.

I always hated Mayfield, dont really see the comparison there. Watching the two, they dont play anything alike. Different types of QBs with their style and how they read the field.

You are aware Gannon runs a 3-4 over base right?

If Walter had given us Gordon in his mock from yesterday I would’ve much more pleased - he’s a longer, better athlete, who is really twitched up for zone coverage (so a better scheme fit here)… he’s likely going to move up during the combine shuffle. Jobe is another guy, who can come in and contribute quickly.

Harris is an obvious upgrade in most areas - good speed to the edge, knows what he’s doing in coverage.

I’ll need to look at Thomas, there are a  bunch of big DEs that I need to get a better sense of the order on (at the moment I’m fine with JJ in that range). Travon is an insane athlete, so behind Hutch he’s a no brainer if there IMO.

Interesting mix here given the self imposed limitations.

I'm thinking Travon goes top 10 maybe 12 at this point. Same with Ojabo. I think Cam is similar to Walker just not quite the athlete or same explosion off the line, but Cam is no slouch in these areas. And his effort is off the charts. I love him. I wouldn't be mad if they went Walker & Thomas honestly. I think this d-line needs a lot of improvement.

Yes and Brady at one time was a developing rookie.

Like I said strong has the arm talent, everything else can be developed.

He better because his legs won’t be buying him time back there .

We already have a QB who moves well and tested well at the combine.  You shouldn’t want to draft a QB at all then.  We have our guy already.

Tomorrow will be the first game all year that the Bucs will have their starting defense playing together

they will need them , Rams very talented offense

Honestly I agree with you , just too hard to repeat , especially with a injured offense .

In a situation where we don’t take a QB I feel compelled to simulate a tradeback (why HOU wanted the UNC QB I do not know).

Why the heck is JoJo listed as a CB?

@Outlaw

PFF has some work to do - but yeah, JoJo is one typo and Tycen is a safety (Hill was listed as CB as well iirc).

If JoJo was 21 he would be first rd pick , and maybe first back drafted

Big big fan of his

I think Eagles would have to trade up to get Booth.  He could be first CB picked, but once the run starts could see Stingly, Booth, Gardner, Elam all picked by 15.  No top QBs screws everything up.

For those of you real draft/CFB junkies, how does Linderbaum rank as a prospect among 1st round centers in the last 10 years? So that pool would be Cesar Ruiz, Garrett Bradberry, Frank Ragnow, Billy Price, Ryan Kelly, Cam Erving, and Travis Frederick.

I think his talent level is above all of them. However as a pure C, he SHOULD be available at 15/16.

I agree. Elam is not a bad consolation prize. Reminds me of Lito. But hopefully we see Pickett, Corral and Willis all go 1-14. That should leave 1-2 of those 4 available.

I think I'll take a vacation and return after the draft.

Three months of mock drafts will kill me. 😄
