The most important thing to follow for the Eagles between now and the draft is the Murray trade situation.  We have to root for him to be traded to the Panthers.  It keeps Murray out of New Orleans and potentially gives them 1-2 extra L's.  While the Saints do not project as a good team, they are looking at potentially 4 free wins with Carolina and Atlanta in that division.

This is a cause I can get behind.

And you know that Carolina is desperate enough to give 3 1st rounders to Murray AND pay him big bucks.

The Panthers not drafting a QB means a smaller chance to get a difference making defender at 15. Pass.

Batman was 45 mins too long and slow. and way too dark. And morbis everyone has said was awful.

Morbius is definitely awful. And it’s freaking Batman. Not gonna be a daytime movie.

I can see the beginning being kinda…. weird. It’s a brand new universe, characters,  timeline etc. and the movie just starts randomly like it’s a sequel even though it’s not.

Like I said, not for the casual moviegoer. We’ve all seen the Batman origins story 10 times. Did you need to see his parents die again?

It's a very dark movie but I really enjoyed it.  Saw it in IMAX.  I loved the fight scenes, probably the best actual fight scenes in a Batman movie.  I really enjoyed the world building of the movie.  Running into not even main characters but very side characters multiple times throughout the movie, visiting certain places again multiple times throughout the movie besides the typical Wayne Manor/batcave, police station and top of roof with bat signal.  Instead of Batman just busting in and jumping through windows he's knocking on doors.  I thought Pattinson was also really good as Batman and people don't like his Wayne for how  moody and depressive he was but all of it came together to work for what I felt the movie was going for.  This young Batman who doesn't yet have all this advanced technology, is figuring stuff out as detective and is letting his life be completely consumed by this alter ego of Batman which has consumed him to the point of becoming his main self while he grapples with all of the anger he has that he's grown up with.

It's an entirely different Batman movie than what we've got and it's hard to properly compare it to the others but that's what makes the franchise so great is the vastly different stylistic approaches throughout the series.  I look forward to it coming out on 4K to watch it again but on one watch a month or so ago when it came out I'd probably rank as:

1. The Dark Knight

2. The Batman

3. Batman Begins

4. The Dark Knight Rises

5. Batman Returns

6. Batman

7. Batman Forever

8. Batman & Robin

9. Batman V Superman

Every time you have a hot take I think it’s the worst ever, but then you go and say things like Batman Forever and Batman and Robin were better than Batman v Superman. Not saying I loved BvS but it’s definitely better than those two.

If the Panthers trade that top 10 pick as part of the trade for Murray, what makes you think that AZ wouldn't be as likely as the Panthers to take a QB?

Valid point sir. No coffee yet.

Yeah this goes to show exactly how absurd this is.  This is the quality of image we are going off of for the internet to start declaring someone a murder suspect because people think in some grainy security cam image the person looks like him.

image.png.dc7f44665941c0a693310d8c0a193a3c.png

So the picture with his face and wearing the chain of his twitter handle not enough to look at him as a suspect?  What more should we be looking for?

Any Batman movie that doesn't involve shark repellant bat spray is irrelevant. /debate

I don't get the Batman stuff. Or the Marvel comic stuff, or any of the "comic book" movies.  I feel like that's all that's coming out recently.

In fact now that I think about it, the last couple years have been nothing but weird/bizaree indy movies or comic movies, pass on both.

Last decent movies I've seen(no idea how old they are) Once upon a time in Hollywood with Leo/Brad. The Irishman was decent and I loved, loved the Gentlemen. Probably top 10 all time.

Between Succession and The Gentlemen Jeremy Strong is moving up my ranks as well

Couldn't agree more.  I can't follow any of the  Marvel/DC stuff.  Not sure what it is about that genre that I have zero interest in.  It seems like a new one comes out before the current one is in theaters for a week.  There's no anticipation for the next because it seems like the next is already out.

The only superhero movies I've watched are the Deadpool movies.

I'm excited to see Top Gun Maverick but even the latest trailer makes it look a bit more cheesy than originally expected.  Part of my issue is CGI.  I love practical effects.  Would love for a production company to make a modern day action/adventure movie with as many practical effects as possible.

We're also in dire need of a ridiculous comedy that doesn't hold back or try to fit societal standards.  Can't remember the last truly funny movie that came out.  Hollywood is stale.

I absolutely hated Batman V Superman and that style of Marvel wannabe type of super hero movie.  I hate the Marvel movies and I hate the Snyder DC movies. Terrible overused CGI and nothing else good to go along with it.

At least Batman Forever and Batman and Robin have a very campy style to them that give them something endearing as bad movies.  Batman vs Superman is just bad.

Bill Walsh is one of the greatest coaches ever...but he died in 2007 and stopped coaching in 1994.

This is how bad decisions get made.

Yeah, this is not applicable to today's NFL. And easy for him to say with Jerry Rice

WR is probably the single most dependent position on other positions in the game.  It shouldn't be at the top of the 'fix it' list.

Now you're sounding like Afan.

Uh... no.   For the WR to be successful he needs a decent OL and a QB who can get him the ball.    Were we not bemoaning the way that Smith was being stunted by Hurts' ability just this past season?   How great a WR was Calvin Johnson?  We will never know how good he could have been, because he was mired in Detroit.  Yes, Walsh had Jerry Rice... but not for most of his coaching career.  He had to get by with the likes of Dwight Clark for the early domination of the 1980s.  He had Issac Curtis and Bob Trumpy in Cincinnati as the OC for the Ken Anderson years.

WR is important in today's NFL, but QB remains higher priority, as does OL.  Long term success can't exist outside of those two.

We are just about at the point where we have to take a CB in round 1 if we want a future stud to take over when Slay is gone.

Howie went slowly in FA because he had 3 1st round draft picks that would be playing. But more players have signed,  and he's down to 2 1st round picks.
