I'm not gambling he might fall. Personally, I have an equal grade on him and Ridder. One of the two will be there at 18. So any first round QB who wasn't picked after a trade up...their team has no faith in them?

Nope.  What I had said, was Ridder would probably red shirt, and would take him in round 2 if available.  If the Eagles deem they want to take him at 18, I am not going to be upset about it.

I'm sure u have answered this already but what gives you hope Hurts is our potential "franchise QB"? Or that it would be a mistake this year to upgrade or move on, use a draft pick. If this isn't your stance then please elaborate.

I actually watch our games. There was plenty to like about Hurts and beside a few posters here everyone saw that.

It obviously would be the best outcome for us if he works out. But for sake of argument let‘s say he‘s not our future. You still need someone worth replacing him. Ask yourself this:

If any of the QBs were any good this year why would noone be able to put any of them in the top10 for sure? Given the value and need in the league that should already give you a heads-up about the quality of this years QBs.

So how about not wasting a pick on someone noone really thought was good in hopes that in a few years he might surprise us and go with Hurts until he either works out or we got a real alternative.

While a lower-tier property, Fox Sports is certainly committing resources to its USFL production, and the games will be used to test new camera angles, technology and rules that, in theory, could be adopted by the NFL.

• An offense can throw two forward passes behind the line of scrimmage.
• In overtime, teams will alternate plays from the two-yard-line for a total of three plays for each offense. Successful scores are two points. Whichever team has the most points after its three plays wins. If still tied, the next score is a sudden death victory.
• Teams have the option to run a traditional on-side kick from the 25 yard line, or they can run a 4th-and-12 play from their own 33 yard line, and with a successful conversion they would retain the ball. Failure gives the other team the ball at wherever the ball is downed.

 U didn't answer the question besides "u liked hurts performance" in a nutshell. If you were to try and convince someone else I'm asking for proof, unbiased evidence that can't be refuted. Not the team making the playoffs etc. Only him as a QB. Anyway I'll answer your question. The problem is it's circular reasoning. You're starting with the premise none of them will be worth the pick. When in reality all 32 teams picks arent certainties.. They can have justified confidence which still has no barring on the outcome.

To do that would require more effort of me than I deem worth. It‘s not my mission to make anyone a believer. Hurts will play this season as our starting QB so I will get what I want and hopefully we can all enjoy it.
