We just discussed how the Ravens work the board and let it fall to them.  This is what the Eagles love to do.  Draft players who won't see the field as a rookie.  ALWAYS.

Prior to the draft, one might understandably be concerned about his size. After drafting Jordan Davis, now you know this guy will be running free all over the place making plays.

Also, we didnt draft him at pick 15. We spent a 3rd rounder. Even if he is only ever a playmaking nickel sub-package LB thats fine value. However, with Jordan Davis in front of him, he is set up to be more than that, just like he was at Georgia. 

Remember LBs struggling in coverage last year? Even the stupid Minnesota guy I already forgot the name of. And Singleton? Not anymore. Not with White, and Dean. 

Once again, this team is set to stop the run with minimal guys committed. Everyone else will be able to be in coverage. Theoretically, this puts an end to the porous zones with LBs that didnt have the range to be where they needed to be. End of death by 1000 paper cuts.

He's a safety

Getting a + starter in the 3rd round, even missing one year, is worth a 3rd round pick.

White is on a one year deal, Taylor gets a year to show he should play, Edwards is the two down MLB.

Dean redshirts then takes one of the LB spots with Davis eating blocks in front of him.

Howie said he was rebuilding, there's good odds that this draft will produce 4 starters in 2023.
