I wasn’t able to pay much attention to the 2nd round. Has a RB been taken yet?

After the next run of corners and safeties.

Not sure who's gonna be available next pick, but if he's there I'd rather take Matt Corral than the 18th best CB. The Eagles already have a billion CBs on the roster, not sure some lower tier prospect will make a difference. They need a stud.

You forgot the shoulder.

I don't think it's being over blown if it wasn't that big a deal he would have been drafted way before 83.

Even without the Injuries I still didnt like him as a prospect because of his size.

His best asset is in coverage but this isn't college anymore, some OC is going to match a 6'5" TE that runs a 4.6 on him and Dean will get smoked.

His lack of length will be a detriment In coverage.

I didnt forget the shoulder. I literally lead with saying iirc it wasnt a full pec tear. And that is correct- it was a strain. It was a partial tear. But that heals itself. He didnt need surgery. Doctor sent a letter to teams clearing him.

I just wanted to give Howie some credit.  I still think he should have been fired a year ago though.

I'd trade a future 3 for a 4 this year to land Strong.

We might be able to sit tight and get him in round 5 at this rate.

well, Arizona just drafted a hall of famer.

Yeah, he is a good one.

You have to take Dean there. No one can complain about this. When is the last time we drafted a 1st round LBer? He should’ve been - let’s just hope the injury concerns are overblown. Even if he redshirts whatever, none of the other picks are starting this year.

Last year they drafted an OL with injuries and people flipped. If he was 6'4 255, sure, but he has all those injuries for a reason. He is undersized and his body might not be able to handle the pounding that is coming. Even in the 3rd it's more than fair to not love the pick.

I personally don't hate it but I don't love it either. Freaking chest, shoulder and knee are injured and he may not play this year. That is a lot. Good pick though.

Wasn’t there a labrum issue too?

I think that’s the best way to put it. Shocked we haven’t addressed secondary at this point.

Who are the best FA CBs left?

Xavier Rhodes

I wasn’t watching, just realized my boy James Roday made the Titans pick

Howie pulled his regular day two shenanigans. Not surprisingly

He knows how to build up some fervor.

His rants before the 2017 Super Bowl were almost as good as the game itself... almost.

I watch GMFB almost every morning while I take my dump. Flatscreen in the master bathroom was one of the best things I ever did.

5,000 WIP callers the last 3 months.  "Get me Nakobe Dean in the first round”.  😂

 I would have hated it R1, been disappointed in R2, but in R3 as a pure value pick, it’s pretty solid.

Prior to the draft, one might understandably be concerned about his size. After drafting Jordan Davis, now you know this guy will be running free all over the place making plays.

Also, we didnt draft him at pick 15. We spent a 3rd rounder. Even if he is only ever a playmaking nickel sub-package LB thats fine value. However, with Jordan Davis in front of him, he is set up to be more than that, just like he was at Georgia.

Remember LBs struggling in coverage last year? Even the stupid Minnesota guy I already forgot the name of. And Singleton? Not anymore. Not with White, and Dean.

Once again, this team is set to stop the run with minimal guys committed. Everyone else will be able to be in coverage. Theoretically, this puts an end to the porous zones with LBs that didnt have the range to be where they needed to be. End of death by 1000 paper cuts.

Just a great post. Kudos.

I’m with you there. When I played the mock draft simulators, I almost never took corners after round 3. We have enough developmental guys. We needed a higher end talent.

Lots of comp picks in Round 3 and 4 before Round 5 ever starts.  I think that's where the QBs will start to go off the board and rapidly.

JAD, Coby Bryant, Josh Jobe... hopefully we can trade Reagor or Dillard to aquire a 4th rd pick to get one of those guys
