Love Gordon, I'd take him at 19. Emerson has great size on the outside. Storm Duck? Just fantastic.

It is. It must be tough to go through life with that name but... Plays for North Carolina. Tall CB - 6'5", timed allegedly at 4.34 in the 40.

Should have gone to Oregon.

Groan.

6'7", previously played QB and I think this was his 1st and only season playing TE. Could be great working the middle of the field and seams all day, only if we had a QB that could see the middle.

Woolen is a monster if I remember right... Isn't he like 6 foot 4 or 5?

You're not building the team around Hurts and his "passing" ability. You are building it for the offense Sirianni wants to run, not the run first offense we had this year.

Well if hurts is still the QB then sirrianni will be pigeonholed into running a run first offense much like this year

Another WR in my opinion isn't going to change that.

If anything it would be more logical to get running backs and run blockers to fit that offense and a defense to compliment it.

Building a passing offense with hurts isnt going to work.

6 ft 3 205  he could be the steal of the DB class

There are a lot of media people who think Hurts is legit. There are eagles players who have bought in to his hype since day 1. You see how they still stand behind him. There are a lot of people dumb enough to still buy this hype. He wont be a major deterrent yet this year.

A lot of those media people don't actually watch all of his snaps, just the highlights and then read the stats in the box score.    And the ones who do watch every snap are either morons (ESP, Reub, etc.) or are on to him (Cosell, Westbrook, etc.).   I haven't come across a single media person who's opinion I actually value that says that he's the future.  Maybe I missed one.

Then why did they draft Smith if they were going to run this type of offense? You can't rely on a running offense to consistently win games. The Eagles showed you that this year, and the Colts also showed you that. Howie is going to build the team for the future, not for just the next season. The moment Hurts isn't the starter all of those resources become wasted. It is much easier to draft the players you think would fit your vision of the offense instead of forcing yourself to adapt to a playing style that is not sustainable.

So in the event Smith trips and fractures his femur, what then? Watkins, Reagor and Ward?

They aren't taking one in the first again and their track record has been abysmal as a whole. Adding a FA makes sense because you either help out the rookie or try to strengthen Hurts game if that's the route they ultimately decide to go.

WR absolutely needs to be addressed be it FA or the draft and it's silly this is even a debate.

I'm ok bringing in another WR I don't want to use any high resources to do so.

3rd day pick on WR fine by me, under the radar cheap FA WR why not?

But using high picks or high priced FA WR to me is pointless as it's doesn't make sense to allocate resources to a position that will be under utilized.

Bring this guy in... with Greg Ward, Lane Johnson, Jalen Hurts and Tyree Jackson, the Eagles would have 4 former QBs on the field at once.   Imagine all the freaky stuff they could do in the RZ with Philly Super Special plays... Have 6 eligible receivers go down field and let Lane Johnson actually throw the pass!   Sure... it would be weird and all, but there's no penalty for an OL to touch the ball if its a lateral... and there's no rule against all eligible receivers to go down field.  Only the 5 OL can't.

They didn't plan on running this run first offense, if you remember the first 6 weeks if the season the offense was totally different, hurts was slinging it 40 times a game and other than the first game against the falcons it wasn't working, so sirrianni switched to a run based offense.

If one believes that hurts is the QB going forward then getting more high priced or high draft WRs is a waste as he has shown he can't consistently get them the ball.

One could argue well then the next qb will have some weapons and sure that's fine except one risks the chance that a young WRs development might be stunted because he played in a run first offense where he didn't develop.

I'd rather get a QB that can pass first, rather than bring in WRs for a QB that can't pass.

Youre comparing "my plan" to punish scumbags to a guy who just wanted to kill rando's?

At the end of the day, we have a ton of repeat offenders. And if you know ANYTHING about life, repeat means they didnt learn their lesson.

Switzerland has a LOT of guns in private homes though they're not hand guns. What those countries don't laud is diversity. Yeah, I know this'll make me popular but they don't. That doesn't mean they're racist, just that they all live by the same rules. That is not true in the U.S. I remember a column by Walter Williams about growing up black in North Philadelphia. It was a LOT different that it is today, and in a good way. Wives not baby mamas, usually 2 parents in homes, children that mostly became functional adults, not fodder for the correction and rehab industries. How boring, huh?

Hey, Boomer here.

I'd much rather draft DE and add a vet at WR.  Wilson is intriguing.  I have listed the others.  I really am all in on Chark.  Depending on the price.  So I guess that would mean I'm not all in.

That's right.  Hurts is the answer!!!  Build around him.  Weapons baby...!  Give him a chance.

Sorry about that but, to be fair, you far exceeded the allowable times/day for the use of the term "woke."  It was either (a) Boomer or (b) undercover Tucker Carlson.  I choose the lesser of two evils 😅

I think at this point most folks see Hurts as either a placeholder for 2022 or about to be replaced this offseason

Your last point is dependent on supply.  There might not be an available QB right now, but quite a few available WR pieces.

This upcoming draft is definitely deeper at WR than QB it's also really deep at defense, particularly DB and DL where I'd rather they focus their attention.

I get your point though in a pass happy league can never have too many WRs unless your QB can't pass.

I think place holder thing makes sense.

Either way I just hope Howie doesn't screw up the picks.

His QB isn't too shabby, either.
