Texans announced their coaching staff. I don't get this fascination with them and McCown two years in a row but they never add him to the staff in any role.

I also think Jordan Davis is probably underrated as a potential pass rusher.  I think the knock on him has been that he gets too high and loses leverage at times. The reality is that he would have a role on any defense just because he is difficult to block.  He will keep LBs clean in a gap control system.  He can penetrate and although he may not make it to the QB he is going to be difficult to block one on one.  It wouldn't surprise me if they look at him.  He would also be a potential best player pick if he falls to the Eagles.

I'd rather trade back if WR is the BPA. With Hurts as the QB and Howie being stubborn about JJAW and Reagor I'd rather not draft a WR in the first round

Roseman is on record saying that they wanted to take Wilson back in 2012 and got "too cute" with waiting. It's also why they drafted Hurts in the 2nd in 2020 to avoid a similar scenario. Roseman has had Wilson on the brain for the past ten years. He's definitely at the very least kicking the tires on a potential trade scenario. That is his guy.

Roseman is also on the last year on his contract. I doubt he wants to rely on Jalen Hurts or a rookie.

Not taking anyone's side here but I'd be pretty bummed about about a Karlaftis/Linderbaum/Lloyd first round too.

Edit:  If anyone other than Dopey Howie drafts him by 25.  Because I know that f nut would reach for him when all the other DE’s fly off the board. 

Karlaftis' combine entrenches him as a top 5 edge guy.

I actually like Linderbaum and Lloyd as players it would just be a tough sell to spend 2 firsts on a LB/iOL when we need a CB, 2 safeties, a DE, a WR and a DT.

I think Linderbaum being mocked to the Eagles is nothing more than him being viewed as a scheme fit and that the Eagles are looking for a Kelce clone replacement.  I don't think he would be good value for the Eagles.  If they're looking for g/c versatility, I think they could trade back in the first and get Zion Johnson.  I think Kenyon Green is much more likely to be on their list.   Linderbaum may be great but he's limited and they could use the pick to fill a position of need.

Defensively, I'd be happy if the Eagles finished the draft with a pass rusher who can win quickly and a playmaker in the middle at either S or LB. Worst case is the Eagles draft a "pressures not sacks" guy who rarely actually disturbs the pocket and ignore safety while trotting out Marcus Epps again.
