Watson or bust now.

If that’s the only choice, I vote for bust.

Who...Metcalf? Lockett? They're good, but not the best WR in the league.

I don't mind Scott either. He's actually a pretty good goal line back. This year I'd like to see Sanders, Rookie bigger dude, Gainwell, Scott with Huntley on PS.

Hopkins

I thought Boston would be 2.3 mil if he is tagged.

That's about the cost, but it's not a tag, it's a tender.   And quite frankly, it would be a bad move for them to make it.  Let him test the waters, and if he goes elsewhere, so be it.  He's upgradable and replaceable without much of an issue.  I won't be upset if he's back, but I would at over $2M.  That's about double his value.

Non football post.

Posting this here in case anyone has friends or family that are looking for something new & would be up for traveling to Alaska to work for the summer.
I work seasonally in alaska for Holland America-Princess cruises at a land based hotel, season runs from May-September. There’s multiple land based hotels you can work for, as well as the cruise ships or the rail system. They’re pretty short staffed for this summer, offering up some great benefits. They have employee housing and cafeteria, both are just deducted from paychecks. There’s assortment of jobs from server, driver guide, gift shop clerk, front desk, maintenance, grounds crew etc. You can get Discounted/free excursions, bonus at the end of the season, a referral bonus for both of us if they use my name, and the best part: a free cruise after finishing your contract.

I’ve done this multiple summers now so can offer advice & answer questions.

alaskatourjobs.com is the link, again if you get anyone thats interested and applies, please reach out to me for my name so we can get a referral bonus

Dude, if I didn’t own my own business and have two kids, a wife, a mortgage, etc. and was still in my 20’s I’d be ALL OVER this. Alaska is beautiful and working in settings like that means plenty of drunken coworker naked escapades. Hell the more I type about it, I might sign up anyway, ditch the fam, and give a middle finger to PA.

Count me in on that.

Ogbah will test free agency.  Would be a very solid DE signing.

IDK about that. Teams love LT's or just tackles in general. Dilliard hasn't been able to prove himself cause of the injury last in 2020 and with the beast taking control in 2021. I think some teams might have some value on Dilliard still. If there are a few teams interested it drive the bidding up to a 3rd.

Orlando Brown and a 2nd got a 1st and 3rd, and he’s a lot better than Dillard.

I would do that if it were a mid-June - September time frame, and I hadn't already gotten a summer gig lined up.  I'd even bring the wife and teenage son.  We could all work and enjoy the scenery.  But alas... it just doesn't quite fit.

We should sign Ogbah and draft Ojabo.  Great bookend names.

Relatively cheap?   Nah, it was absolutely overpriced.

I think it’s reasonable unless he falls flat on his face immediately. Look what the 49ers just paid to take a chance on Trey Lance.

Agreed.

In the next few days I want a 2 year Slay extension, a Dillard trade, and a Hurts trade.

Interesting trifecta.

Agreed, they overpaid too.  Most teams do overpay for QBs.  Remember what the Washingteam paid for RGIII.  Just because others pay it, doesn't mean its not too much to pay.

If I could only have 1, the bolded gets my vote.

I hear ya! I’m getting close to 30, single, no kids and don’t have much other than a car payment/CC bills/phone bill so I’m trying to travel as much as possible lol.

Alaska is easily most beautiful place I’ve ever travelled too. People don’t get it though, they think it’s all cold and snow. But the summers are awesome and northern lights are incredible too. I’ve definitely seen my fair share of stupid drunken shenanigans up there, been apart of a lot of em as well 😂

For future reference, they’re pretty flexible about contracts. Plenty of people have shown up in June and even July to work

Now... that is interesting... Thanks for the heads up.  Do they want to hire a teacher?  I can drive, but have no CDL.

What was his contract situation? Weren’t the Ravens trying to unload him?

No teaching jobs.. They do pay for your training for CDL, but you’d have to show up in March for training. So it’s too late for that now. But for that position I think they’re a little more strict in your contract if it’s your first season for arrival date. After completing your first season and having your CDL, they become way more flexible for arrival date the next summer you want to come up. Driver guides do make good money, and it’s a fantastic way to see the Alaska country.

People can dislike a Watson move, but the Eagles have to do what's best for the franchise. I stopped caring about morality years ago. How many NFL players have we rooted for who've done Fed up stuff behind the scenes and in their personal lives that we just never found out about? How many hundreds of NFL players that we've rooted for over the years were absolute scumbags but it just never came to light? I stopped caring about liking people. I want my team to win football games. That's it. I want parades.

Kevin Spacey has been accused of even worse than Watson. Sexual assault of underaged boys. But I still watch his movies. I think he's a terrific actor. American Beauty is one of my all-time favorite movies, as is Se7en. And the guy is allegedly a scumbag. But I can admire him as a professional and his talent, and be entertained by him. Kevin Spacey's work has brought me great joy throughout my life. Both in film and TV.

I look at Watson as sort of the same thing. If the allegations are true, he's a creep at best and at worst a criminal. But the product on the field is a means to an end. To entertain and bring me joy. And if people have issues with him playing, that's on the courts and the NFL. Not the Eagles. If he's allowed to play.

Understood. But hey, that’s you.

That's what I was thinking.   Mostly part two... but part one is nice too.

Same as Dillard but cheaper. He was on the last year of his rookie deal but was a 3rd rounder

Yea you’d get trips up to Denali National park and Kenai as well. I’ve never got to visit Kenai, doing that this summer and I can’t wait

Denver’s drafted well and can afford to pay this price. Would be nice to have a ready-made roster for a QB.
