In theory thats a great idea. BUT we all know at this point it won;t happen that way. You have to remember we are not making any decision. We have to remember who is and think more of what they will ultimately do.

Its not about what we want or what the best choice is. It all comes down to two decision makers and what they want

And that’s the problem. The people making decisions won’t draft defense because it’s a passing league and want to hang their hat on a QB that can’t pass. It’s hard to get behind.

I will offer a comment here. Watson is a scumbag. Wilson is not. I have a preference.

So was Vick. Tyreek hill etc are huge scumbags

all depends what he actually is guilty of

Another way of saying it, see: POV matters, is that they traded those assets for a 9x Pro Bowler (in 10 seasons) who has been to two Super Bowls, averaged over 10 wins per year, thrown almost 300 touchdowns, over 100 passer rating, etc.

And let's not overrate his defense. Seattle has had a below average to bad defense for a number of years now.

Seattle ranking points allowed, 13, 11, 22, 15, 11. Wouldn't call that below average.

Denver, 22, 13, 10, 25, 3 - I'd say last year was a fluke, Fuller UFA, Darby injured again, Callahan FA, K Jackson S will be 34, they trade Harris DE, Purcell NT will be 31, D Williams DT 30, Von Miller FA 33.

Without a 1st and 2nd, replacing RT will be difficult while also shoring up the defense by signing/replacing FAs and adding depth behind aging players. They have cap money, but it goes quickly when you need to add a number of starters.

@BigEd76 always does a good job with his forum of Players The Eagles Are Interested In -- compiles tweets, news reports, etc. on prospects the Eagles meet with during the draft process -- Senior Bowl, Combine, Pro Days, Official Visits, etc.  Some of these prospects showing up at each stage of the process definitely could be a signal of strong interest in certain draft prospects.

Interestingly, he's got reports of Howell, Strong, and Corral but no reports yet of Eagles interest in Pickett, Willis, or Ridder.  Could be the Eagles have met with them and it just hasn't been reported by any of the beat guys.

I didn't see anything from the various sources. If there's something about the Eagles, please post it in that topic like others have. Thanks!

Von Miller doesn't play for the broncos anymore.

Thats why Im sticking with my thought that Howie will go for Pickett. Once Hurts proved he wasnt the answer in the first 7 games that we threw the ball 95% of the game Howie fell in love with Pickett going to a lot of his games in person. Eventhough we may not like it, I just have a feeling Howie wants Pickett.

Howie might have to trade up to the top 5 to get Pickett.  Panthers have the #6 overall pick, and their owner reportedly "loves and wants Pickett”.

Tepper is an alum and donor to Pitt, and Matt Rhule recruited Pickett while he was coaching at Temple

We could debate Denver's d vs Seattle's all day. I think Denver is way better positioned right now than Seattle was the last few years. The point is that Wilson is an excellent addition. Denver should be a real contender next year and going forward. They went from irrelevant to very much relevant.

Jalen Hurts will.

And since so many of you are stuck on this broken played out response anytime someone suggests bringing in a veteran WR, last I checked I haven't seen where the Eagles have given Jalen Hurts a 10 year contract.

You smoke hashish with griner in Russia?  Your posts make me think you do

We don't have to think of what they will ultimately do.  That will reveal itself in time.  Having an individual opinion about what the team should do is what message boards are all about, what conversations around the water cooler are all about, etc.

No one is saying people cant have a view. You just jumped in the convo at the end.

Isn’t he undefeated against us?

LOL, we know what the Seahawks QB plan is this year.  Hello 4-13.

Sorry if it's been mentioned, but what exactly did Seattle get in return?  Denver's 1st and Lock?

Edit: Yahoo sports says a "bevy" of picks and players.  How many picks are in a bevy?

That would be the biggest black eye for Denver if he said no.  I couldn't imagine why he would, Denver is now probably the favorite to come out of the AFC.

I don't know if they'd be the favorite in the AFC.

Denver has a new coach in a division with Mahomes, Carr and Herbert.  Arguably the best division in football.

Right now I'd put Denver 3rd behind KC and LA in the West.

Last offseason when all this started with Wilson, I thought Chicago was mentioned, but that was probably just the media stirring the pot, same for the Wentz rumors.

They were and so was Dallas and New Orleans, and it was on record from his agent so it wasn’t pot stirring. I think they mean Broncos were the only team interested in him that Wilson wanted to go to.

Also the dynamic this year changed. Dallas gave Dak his big extension. New Orleans lost Payton and in cap hell. And the bears got their QB in fields. The landscape changed. Similar to how it’s going to change for watson. Broncos off the board now. Commanders and Carolina are the two biggest ones supposedly pushing for it. Can’t imagine watson would be thrilled to go to Washington with that dysfunction and Carolina has a bad oline, mccaffrey on the block and a HC that might get fired after next year.

Watson would LOVE Snyder and all his antics, and Snyder probably doesn’t care at all about the baggage Watson brings. It would be two sex pests together.

I don’t think Snyder would care. I do think watson after dealing with the FO dysfunction and fiascos with the Texans probably wants no part of that.

Whatever team traded for Wilson was going to be "the only team he wanted to go to" as is the narrative after every trade after the fact.

I know this isn't even possible per NFL rules I don't think, but in a hypothetical scenario if a non Denver team offered 10 first round picks for Wilson.... he'd be there. Seattle would've gone to Wilson and said this trade would set us up for life, whatever you need to get comfortable with this team, we'll figure it out for you whatever it takes.
