Jefferson was the best WR in the class, and nothing about his two years in the NFL leaves any doubt that was the case. Although I took Reagor in the EMB cause I knew Howie would pick him, you and I had multiple conversations about Jefferson months before the draft. We were both over the moon about him. Even created the Jefferson thread. Easily my favorite prospect for the Eagles that year. Bummer!

January 20, 20223 yr The Athletics newest mock draft 15. Philadelphia Eagles (from Miami) — Tyler Linderbaum, OC, Iowa Obviously, this selection is based on the future of Jason Kelce, who just earned his fourth All-Pro nod. Even if he returns for his age 35 season in 2022, Kelce would be the ideal mentor for Linderbaum, who has exceptional quickness and a nasty streak to dominate defenders. 16. Philadelphia Eagles (from Indianapolis) — Andrew Booth Jr., CB, Clemson With Steven Nelson headed for free agency, cornerback could be a need for the Eagles this offseason. Booth is a terrific athlete and can make plays on the ball — the two most important traits when scouting the position. Booth also has above-average downhill skills to drive and blow up plays near the line of scrimmage. 19. Philadelphia Eagles — George Karlaftis, edge, Purdue The Eagles’ defensive end depth chart will likely look wildly different next season, and Karlaftis would be a welcomed addition. The Purdue pass rusher doesn’t have elite length or twitch, but he is relentless and strong with hand work that is not only violent but also well-timed and strategic to defeat blockers. 51. Philadelphia Eagles — Chad Muma, LB, Wyoming

January 20, 20223 yr 18 minutes ago, Utebird said: Why is Walter not credible, because it's not a pay site??? I don't know how credible it is. I just don't take anything from them as well sourced journalism. I mean it's run by a guy who as far as I can determine has never had another job. The guy that writes the scouting reports, Charlie Campbell, has never had an NFL job as far as I can tell. I think the comments about what Hurts was like in college in terms of being difficult for staff are not scouting information. They are reports, allegedly, of first hand accounts of problematic behavior. I have not seen that documented elsewhere. I don't think Walter Football is in the business of journalism. They are not reporters but "draft" experts. It's not a profession that has rigorous ethics and training. It's a guy saying he "watched the tape" and writing things about college athletes some of them are better than others. Now, I don't think The Draft Network is any different but Kyle Crabbs has developed a better mainstream media profile. Notably both Crabbs and Campbell have twitter followers that include NFL people and people that are involved with scouting like Jim Nagy. I don't think anything they write about players' potential is necessarily bad information. The reality is that no one is ever sure how these players will perform at an NFL level. I don't think you can take any site as being more accurate or credible than another. I think there's one true scouting insider right now and that's Daniel Jeremiah. He's a former scout that uses his connections with teams to create his draft board. He has the best information as to where prospects may get picked based on team's evaluations.

"Smith's fault he needs to comeback on a double move!"
January 20, 20223 yr So is Hurts playing in the Pro Bowl? 😄😄 Love to see how he does surrounded with top notch talent. If he plays, I might actually watch for once.

If smoking a J is the same as an MJ then right on if a J is a cigarette you should quit, those cause cancer, sadly MJ isn't legal in Kansas☹️ Sorry I went off the rails so quick, my wife went into to get a bunch of skin cancer removed this morning from her face and she's currently sitting next to me asleep drugged up with a huge bandage and a swollen shut eye so I'm a little on edge, like I said not really in the mood for the traditional blog BS. EMB has been a way for me to pass time for the last 20 years+, sad really but hey enjoy your walk, maybe I'll go do the dishes and pretend I'm smoking MJ.😁
January 20, 20223 yr We're such a clear football fit for Watson that it makes sense to trade all 3 1sts for him...but man, it would be a tough pill to swallow.

It makes zero sense to trade all 3 1st round picks for Watson. The Texans have no leverage; the player with the no-trade clause has the leverage. The Texans can only negotiate a deal with teams on his waive list. The trade value will depend on the number of teams on his waive list, and subtract the teams from that list who don't want him. Unless there are 4-5 teams on the final list the bidding isn't going to be that high -- not close. A 2022 1st, a 3rd (or player), and a future 1st (2023) would get it done.

I remember when eagles signed Vick there were fans that said they wouldn't support the eagles any longer. Difference between Vick and Watson is Vick did his time paid his debt, made amends. Watson is still in the process of trying to prove his innocence but 20+ women to me would be a hard pill to swallow even if Watson made it all go away ala big Ben. Owners will put money and winning over morales though and reportedly Lurie already green lit a possible trade. I wouldn't quit the eagles over it, much to the chagrine of some posters on here😉 but I wouldn't be happy about it.
