Moving on from Watson would please me - right player, wrong time seeing the picks involved.  I do wonder if the potential Ridley trade was in part to help the Falcons ultimately trade for Watson?

Yep.

I honestly cant fault him either.

from what I remember he was a very very big reach for the Eagles. He came into a hostile city with a mess at QB and Head coach and was asked to do something way above his head.

We always "what if we got Jefferson" but look at it the other way. What if Reagor was selected where he was supposed to be. an early 2nd round/mid 2nd on a team where he had a chance to bea #2 or #3 and grow with a decent QB

Long winded way of saying, It's not Reagors fault he's a #3 drated a round early to be a #1

its his fault that he aint no good, no matter what round he was drafted in

With the safety market so barren, I wonder if there any potential CB conversions out there.  I really don't want to watch another season of McLeod/Harris/Epps back there.

Terrell Edmunds is still on the market.  He would be an upgrade at SS.  I would also see about Jabril Peppers.

That's one way to look at it....another would be, "This team took a chance on me, and they believe in me, so I'll work my ass off to prove them right"....instead he's just another lazy first round bust.

I suspect McLeod could come back but not on a massive deal; would make sense from a leadership perspective not only on the D but when a young Safety gets drafted too

Hey @greend, look at Mr. Sophisticated here with his fancy sanitation!

I really hope the Eagles make Myles Jack their priority.  He's a what they drafted JaCoby Stevens to be and then some.  He played all over the Jags defense.  He's so versatile.  I have no idea what their plan for Reddick is.  Is he here as strictly a rush player?  Is he a LB they plan to use out in space?  For what they paid him, he better be on the field a lot.  I don't know if he's a LB or DE.

Myles Jack, Hassan Reddick, Draft Pick completely transforms LB.

That allows TJ Edwards and Davion Taylor to be role players/core ST players rather than starters.

Also, looking at the PE.com roster....Joe Ostman is listed on the team.  Did they bring him back on a futures contract?

He'd let Sirianni run the offense he'd like to.  He'd get Smith and Goedert to a Pro Bowl.  He'd help attract FA WRs.

Probably not worth the contract though.

yup

I worked night and day to play professional ice hockey. I skated more hours in a week than Bobby Ryan did in a year. Some of us dont have the talent to get to the league, or to be a #1 so to speak.

Howie drafted a 2nd round pick in the mid 1st, put him into a bad position and we're getting bad results. Not really shocking.

Compare him to Hurts. Also not talented enough to be taken where he was, but at least Hurts has shown the desire to try and get better and work hard. Nobody would accuse him of being lazy. Reagor's attitude matches his ability, which is what makes him eminently more unlikeable.

Answering my own question. Joe Ostman IS still an Eagle.   I thought they waived him last year and he got an injury settlement but apparently he was waived, unclaimed and that reverted him to IR.  There's still hope!  I kid, I kid. I thought we had heard the last of him though.

Ostman (undisclosed) cleared waivers and reverted to Philadelphia's injured reserve Wednesday, independent NFL journalist Aaron Wilson reports.

Ostman was waived with an injury designation Tuesday and moved to injured reserve after passing through waivers unclaimed. The 26-year-old will be unavailable for the 2021 campaign unless an injury settlement is reached with the team.

Little late this morning.  You had me worried.

Lol, he's already compared himself to Bobby Ryan for some reason, so there's that.

Perfect fit for Gannon's scheme.

First, I'm not dying on a Reagor hill. I think we should get out from under him for anything. I think he will be just fine as a 2 or 3 else where

But, because Reagor doesnt make epic swag videozzz he doesnt work out? I've seen many report of Reagor working out and training in the off season but there not as flashy as Hurts I guess it doesnt count?

His play on the field is what I'm referring to. He runs lazy routes, and there were reports out of TC that Sirianni was riding his ass because he was lazy. Has nothing to do with stupid social media. He also failed the conditioning test if my memory serves me correctly.

As it stands, there are some decent CBs out there at the moment; could be some good deals to be made in the next day or two

LOl, why would they?

Acquiring a franchise quarterback. I understand why that seems strange to us Eagle's fans

I meant letting Marcus Williams walk but signing Marcus Maye to similar money

The No. 1 thing Jack has working in his favor is his familiarity with the scheme Matt Eberflus will install. Last season the Jaguars played in a 3-4 base defense, but in the five years prior they deployed a 4-3 zone that was pretyy close to what Eberflus will run. In that defense, Jack primarily played as the middle linebacker, but he played a little strongside and weakside linebacker as well.

You can switch out ‘Eberflus’ for Gannon in the above paragraph.

crap gets deep in here at times .

Anthony Harris!  🥳. Get it done, Howie!!!

Would be a massive hit!

Since we're not winning the SB this year, we should avoid expensive 1 year deals for veterans. Marcus Williams was different because he would have been here when we were ready to contend. No expensive bandaids.

Agreed.  We got next to nothing out of the veterans we signed to one year deals last year, and we are carrying 8.3 in dead cap from those guys this year.
