July 7Jul 7 I thought the USMNT did as well as I expected. Maybe better.They made it to Round of 16. Ran into a better team. So be it.I would have liked to see them beat Turkey. Winning the Group was an accomplishment. A Group Sweep would have been a great achievement and tough to match in the future.I don't really care about the Red Card.Belgium outplayed the USMNT. They have more experience. I'm okay with losing to the better team and had no delusions of advancing any further.

Spain are the reigning champs (euros) for a reason. But yeah France couldn't win back possession when they needed to and seemed hesitant to take shots instead of extra touches. July 15Jul 15 Spain simply has a great overall team that plays very organized soccer and they are always in position. Also, every one of them is a ball winner and they are all very quick and very technical. Extremely tough to deal with them at any spot on the pitch and especially in the midfield. I didn’t realize how good they were until yesterday.

Need to get the lead and then just dismiss them outright and not let them hang around.
