I think I'm gonna add In a Violent Nature to my list as well.

I saw the Watchers and thought it was ok. It reminded me of The Ritual so I re-watched that since it's been a few years. It holds up well.

I dug Ritual.  I’ll have to give it a rewatch.

The most hilarious part about me watching that last night was that I accessed it through the Disney Plus app  Could you imagine some unsuspecting child clicking on that if the parental controls weren't set up properly

Spoiler

Daddy daddy!  Why's that gigantic fat man covered in puss bubbles stuck in his bed?

Because he's been taken over by a demon entity that jumps from person to person and turns them into @bobeph sweetie.

Spoiler

That was gross, but the dog thing was way worse to me.  Oh and the dad pulling his mother's hair out of his son's throat at the end 🤮 The mother scooping her son's brains out of his head and eating them while casually walking down the road was pretty nasty too.  This movie was F'n sick

The Substance is definitely worth catching at the theater

In A Violent Nature - One of the better slasher films I watched, I loved how this movie was based on the killers perspective. I don’t think I would’ve liked it as much if it wasn’t shot this way, it was a fresh look on a classic slasher type of film. I wonder if the writers of the film are Mortal Kombat fans because some of these kills reminded me of a Fatality and these were the highlights of the movie. Would recommend.

I Saw the TV Glow - what a crock of s*** how was this a horror movie? How did this get high praise? Didn’t realize this was the same director of We’re All Going to the World’s Fair until after I watched it. Should’ve known better because that movie sucked too. Visuals were good but other than that some woke trans bs if that’s your thing

"I saw the TV Glow” was one of the worst crock of sh*eets I’ve ever seen in my life. I posted about it a few pages back along with "We’re all going to the World’s Fair.”  It’s a woke tranny pile of BS.  Not like I want to invite a radical left-winger in here, but the only thing that makes sense with both of these films is that @Toastrel probably directed them.

It Follows, I'd never seen this, flew under the radar for me.  Excellent, minimalist horror with a killer soundtrack.

The sequel is in the works. This is one of my faves as well. Such a terrifying entity and idea. @mikemack8 would probably just bang the nearest male prostitute and call it a day!

Considering the alternative - yes, yes I would

Watched Tarot last night before bed as it was a fairly short run time - was a fun way to burn 90 minutes before bed.  Nothing special but entertaining enough.

This is what I’m hearing.  Nothing groundbreaking but a good watch.

Finally have a chance to post from the festival.  My favorite so far was Chainsaws Were Singing.  Kind of like if Monty Python made Texas Chainsaw Massacre into a musical.  Quick summaries of what I saw today and my schedule for tomorrow:

@Shepard Wong That looks fantastic  🤣

I feel like the majority of us are lucky to get away for a golf weekend with the guys.  Meanwhile you get a double feature of Daddy's Head and Bone Lake in the middle of the night.

To be fair, if you were there you'd get thrown pretty much immediately after taking your pants off in the first 10 minutes.

Groundskeepers and cart girls are not a fan of these tactics either.  😒

Good call steering away from Baby Invasion on that one.

How often do you get to see two different movies in two days where a running chainsaw is rammed up a dude’s ass?

Have there been other posts about this on here? Was just coming to look for some and spotted this first.

just eat he tonight knowing nothing other than the cast and rotten tomatoes score listed on fandango app. A very solid 8/10 that was a "wild” film if I had to sum in 1 word.

also had enough arse, tiddies, and beaver to keep @HazletonEagle satisfied

Today and tomorrow’s schedule.  Trying to get todays last movie swapped out for V/H/S Beyond.

What are the secrets movies?  Is that like horror pot luck?

They all look great, and I'm jealous once again, but Drawn and Quartered looks right up my alley.  Anything with cute, hairy balls, and butt-eating dogs is fun for the whole family.

Secret movies are usually wide release movies that get screened early here but you don’t know what it is until you are in the theater.  The other day it was Heretic, the new Hugh Grant horror movie.
