I'm sorry I brough such a depressing topic into the blog.  A little back story without too much detail. I met my friend 12 years ago during an AF commissioning program. He was on top of the world

Spot on. Wentz was having issues, no doubt, but the complete collapse of the O Line was his death knell.

I don't think anyone succeeds behind that makeshift group.

When we were playing our 13th O Line configuration in 10 games we had issues too.

Still think Carson can compete. Hope Ron can provide the tools.

Always liked Wentz, person, player.

I'm not so sure but what the refusal to get vaccinated might have been his death knell in Indy. I recall reading someplace in an interview with somebody - Irsay? that his play, though subpar at times wasn't his undoing. It was more his lack of leadership/leading by example. Didn't he get over Covid just prior to the Raiders and Jags games? In some people Covid hangover is real.

Pat Mahomes playing into the 2nd quarter. I bet he won’t have any rust week 1.

They had two long drives for TDs so I think his day is over at this point. Looked good too.

I'd have to imagine they will give him some sort of playing time at the  end of the 4th if Hurts doesn't play to start the game.  Either way how he plays it will be entertaining to see how people in here react to it.

I saw a full high school team today with 18 kids. 2 of them were better QBs than Hurts.

Thought I read pop Warner, corrected

I mean, the team really really sucked. Thats what happens when you try to field an entire team with just 18 kids. But it was high school.

Washington can't even score on the 2nd team Chiefs defense. Brian Robinson looks good but otherwise their offense isn't impressive.

Why?  Hargrave is going to command a lot of money and going on 30 next year.  Davis is going to be special and Williams next to him is going to have opportunities to win 1-on-1 battles all day long.  If Wilson and Tuipulotu show they are capable of being DT4/5 this year that should give them plenty of experience to jump to DT3/4 next year and they could still address DT in FA or the draft if need be.

When cox is gone after this year money might be available

Sure, but you're going to have Davis and Williams as your DTs.  Why pay for 30 year old Hargrave to be DT3?  Unless he signs at a significant discount, I have no interest.

Robinson will end up being a great pick for them

When is Carson Strong taking over?

When Howie admits Hurts will never be better than 1/2 of the QB’s in the NFL…., I mean the PAC 12.

Not sure on williams

why rush the decision? You dont have to make the decision now. The return wouldnt be much better than the comp pick he would likely net anyway.

Not saying you force a trade, but he's an asset and the Eagles have needs at other positions.  If Hargrave can bring back a Josh Jacobs or a decent safety, I'm all for it.

Never seen a post from you that contains the word Eagles...

Why are you even here except to exchange insults?

There's a special forum for that.

Since the first time I saw a post from him, I got the feeling he was someones lame clone just here to troll.

Hargrave plays a much more valuable position. No need to deplete depth for a band aid elsewhere

Hargrave is facing a major decrease in snaps.  Davis is going to get his and so is Williams.  Hargrave is tremendously overvalued IMO.

Again, the final 11 games last year, 1.5 sacks, 11 tackles.

2022 cap hit, $17.8 million.

So taking your own perspective, why would a other team give up something of value for him?

plenty of snaps for him here

Why? Because he’s a terrific player. Why part 2. If he leaves, and for a hefty contract which he clearly deserves, there’s a comp pick coming back. And why part 3. What possesses you to want to pull apart a defense that looks like it might be really good before they’ve ever played a game? Just nuts.

Both DT and DE are positions that rotate two players at each of the four slots.  The wear and tear at those positions is greater than any other positions on the team.  Look back at the value of Chris Long and Beau Allen to understand the necessity of depth in the D-Line positions.

Mike McDaniel is super odd; I saw an interview of him at the Combine and thought he was stoned; not an issue but it turns out that is how he speaks.  He'll either be super over with the players or some will tune him out completely.

How did this dude become an NFL coach??? looks and talks like a bean counter, if the dude were advising me on my stock portfolio I might listen, talking football not so much.

I can't imagine this dude lasts very long but hey I've seen worse coaches last in the league.🤷‍♂️
