This dodgers padres series has had a goose and a drone. If it goes to game 5 I am excited to see what else comes on the field.

Disagree there. I do think he’ll fall because of it but at some point he’s going early. More than likely really early.

Is he the second coming of Mac Jones.

I suppose that since the list of practice squad elevations includes only Andre Chachere and not Cameron Dicker, it means that Jake Elliott should be good to go on Sunday night.

I think that would be the third such activation for Chachere so he won’t be able to play any more games after this one unless he’s put on the 53-man roster.

Jobe to IR and Chachere to the roster before the Bye week

@jamiller I’d add Dave Roberts just continuously makes bad decisions when in big time situations in the playoffs.

It’s the Padres and the Phillies in the NLCS.

I got what I wanted.  Hope it works out for the Phils. I like the vibe of this Phils team.  Just feels right.

@FranklinFldEBUpper You called it on Robinson to the IR.  Won’t be surprised if the Eagles replace Dicker with a DE on the PS during the bye though.

I think I said they’d waive him and try to get him back to the PS. Wasn't really aware he was hurt enough to go to IR.

I would keep Dicker around for a little while longer, just in case. Also kind of as a reward for doing well and helping them win the game against the Cardinals last week.

They have an open PS slot currently after putting OT Williams on IR.

The US standard railroad gauge (distance between the rails) is 4 feet, 8.5 inches. That's an exceedingly odd number.
Why was that gauge used?
Well, because that's the way they built them in England, and English engineers designed the first US railroads. Why did the English build them like that?
Because the first rail lines were built by the same people who built the wagon tramways, and that's the gauge they used. So, why did 'they' use that gauge then?
Because the people who built the tramways used the same jigs and tools that they had used for building wagons, which used that same wheel spacing. Why did the wagons have that particular odd wheel spacing?
Well, if they tried to use any other spacing, the wagon wheels would break more often on some of the old, long distance roads in England . You see, that's the spacing of the wheel ruts. So who built those old rutted roads?
Imperial Rome built the first long distance roads in Europe (including England ) for their legions. Those roads have been used ever since.
And what about the ruts in the roads?
Roman war chariots formed the initial ruts, which everyone else had to match or run the risk of destroying their wagon wheels. Since the chariots were made for Imperial Rome , they were all alike in the matter of wheel spacing. Therefore the United States standard railroad gauge of 4 feet, 8.5 inches is derived from the original specifications for an Imperial Roman war chariot. Bureaucracies live forever.
So the next time you are handed a specification/procedure/process and wonder 'What horse's ass came up with this?', you may be exactly right. Imperial Roman army chariots were made just wide enough to accommodate the rear ends of two war horses. (Two horses' asses.)
Now, the twist to the story:
When you see a Space Shuttle sitting on its launch pad, there are two big booster rockets attached to the sides of the main fuel tank. These are solid rocket boosters, or SRBs. The SRBs are made by Thiokol at their factory in Utah . The engineers who designed the SRBs would have preferred to make them a bit fatter, but the SRBs had to be shipped by train from the factory to the launch site. The railroad line from the factory happens to run through a tunnel in the mountains, and the SRBs had to fit through that tunnel. The tunnel is slightly wider than the railroad track, and the railroad track, as you now know, is about as wide as two horses' behinds.
So, a major Space Shuttle design feature, of what is arguably the world's most advanced transportation system, was determined over two thousand years ago by the width of a horse's ass. And you thought being a horse's ass wasn't important? Ancient horse's asses control almost everything.

Yeah, but I think that goes to an OL as seems they like a few on the PS.

Getting my work done early so I can go to Philly tonight. Gonna tailgate and maybe find a ticket. Gonna be a loooong day. But worth it.

Lol. It's a hole cutter. Cut a new hole on the green for the golf course. But I said a while back it looks like that too.

(Eagles hope to continue Perfect Record against The Boys and go 6-0 for the first time since 2004)

And....Here...We.....Go!.   The Boys are coming to town for a Sunday Night Showdown.   When Dak when down, many believed they wouldn't win  but a few games.  Cooper Rush has played pretty good managing the game but the Defense is the star of the show.  They've kept teams to under 20 points while Cooper and the Dallas Offense has only had to score a little over 20 to win.   Regardless they've put together 4 wins so good for them.   The Problem is they haven't face a team like ours. The Birds are the best Offense they will have faced this year.   The Eagles beat the Vikings and Jags Defense so the Birds have beaten good Defenses this year..    Dallas has not beaten a Defense better than the Eagles.  What's funny is all the talk is about Jalen and the Eagles O VS Micah and the Dallas D.    Meanwhile our Defense has destroyed Cousins, Carson, Trevor and yes even forced Kyler into mistakes.

Our Defense has been pretty lights out this season overall with turnovers too.   Cooper hasn't turned the ball over yet.    I see some turnovers happening tonight for him.  The Eagles D will bring it to Cooper all night and finally force him into mistakes.   Also the Eagles Offense and Running game will get it done.   I'm sure the media and people want a close game or nail biter.   I think people underestimating how amazing this Eagles team has been.  The Guys know the Bye Week is next week so they will leave it all out there.   I think Dallas D is good, no doubt but the Eagles are better.   Dallas Offense has been average at best this season season so I expect Eagles  D Feast.  The Boys and everyone going forward would love to end our Perfect Record.  They can't let it happen.   Throw in the Phillies heading to the NLCS last night.  The Boys are walking into a hornets nest in Philly on Sunday.  It's time for some separation in the NFC BEAST.   A win today puts Eagles 2  games up.   The Birds will take it to the Boys in spectacular fashion.   6-0 and off to the Bye Week.

Birds - 41

Boys - 16

Jalen - Rush TD

Miles - Rush TD

AJ - TD

Dallas - TD

Jake - FG x 2

Defense - Pick 6 or Defensive TD.  Several Sacks, Picks and fumbles

I was saying it all summer long but the tight end talent in college football is so good.  There are some elite players and even though the Eagles have Goedert I would love to see them add one of these guys in the draft.  So many guys who are mismatches, tough to bring down and just warriors.  Unreal the amount of talent across the position.

I always wanted to be a green keeper . Still do to some extent but I imagine it doesn’t pay very well?

Well seeing as how I went to the college yes I am a "homer". But still nobody can tell me with a straight face that you think a Saban led team set a NCAA record for all time penalties legitimately. That's a crock and you know it.

Just read through all your posts.  What a cry baby.  Just cause it hasn’t been done doesn’t mean it can’t be done.

In the 4th round if he's BPA? Sure. But with Goedert here, another day 1 or 2 TE would make me lose my crap

Not at the moment. But when I finish my degree I can be a Superintendent or a Asst Superintendent at a big time course. They pay very well. Asst starts in the 60's at the nicer places. Supers can make six figures.

Good luck with that.
