At RB, I just wanna see more of Trey Sermon. He looked good I thought on his two touches. Let’s see what the kid can do

Sermon seemed effective in the coupld of carries he had.  I am not sure why they wouldn't play him over Gainwell who is kind of meh as a runner and receiver.

Just wanted his signature on something. Definitely not asking for an autograph.

Evans did drop one of the easiest TDs you'll ever see.   Maybe something fishy going on, fixing games, etc.

Oh Right GIFs | Tenor

Just once could Howie Roseman do this.  Could we get two guys from a draft that have immediate impact that helps the team win games.

OT Andre Dillard

Dillard is now recovered from a fractured forearm and would be appealing to teams looking to upgrade at left tackle. The 2019 first-round pick is in the final year of his rookie contract and has no clear path to the starting job in Philadelphia, barring injury, with Jordan Mailata locked up long term. The question is whether an Eagles team with championship aspirations would trade away a key reserve, especially with Mailata still battling through a banged-up right shoulder. The offer would have to be considerable for Philly to weaken its depth at a key position. -- Tim McManus

Parachuting in here but pretty clear that the Matt Ryan benching is the final straw for Reich’s time in Indy (short of a miraculous run by Ehlinger to end the season).

Really screwed up because he can clearly put together a good NFL offense but used up all of his built in equity with the Wentz move. And they never got him a truly dependable QB after Luck. Now he has almost no chance to save his job.

Owner wants immediate success but their Oline has needed to be fixed for years

You are describing the 2021 draft. That was *checks notes* last year.

What ???  I thought it was Carson Wentz fault................

Please tell me the impact Milton Williams, Zech McPherson and Kenny Gainwell had, and then compare it to Abraham Lucas, Coby Bryant and Tariq Woolen ( who myself, @Outlaw, @Ray75 and others pounded the table for the Eagles to draft )

You are being a bit generous to Howie there.  That was a good draft, but McPhearson barely played and when he did he was marginal at best.  Not a leading turnover creator by any stretch.   Smith was good, but also not a guy who lead the league in anything, granted a bit apples to oranges comparing WR to RB, but still.

Williams is still a giant ?
Marlon is a bigger ?
And Gainwell has been a bit disappointing to me.

It was good, but not nearly the HR that the 2022 draft appears to be right now for Seattle.  A lot could change, but early returns puts the Seattle 2022 draft way ahead of the Eagles' 2021 draft.

You asked for 2 guys who were immediate starters. That's Smith/Dickerson. Williams was good last year. Gainwell was a fine rotational piece. We've had back to back good drafts. Dean/Jurgens aren't starting because they're blocked by a Hall of Famer and solid LB play. This isn't Seattle who couldn't find an OT/CB last year. Walker is only playing because Penny got hurt.

Most of the blog wanted Woolen, myself included.

Thank you.

Tariq Woolen has played more snaps in 7 games than Milton played last year.

Coby Bryant has played double the snaps in 7 games than McPherson played last year.

Ken Walker will be in the top 10 for rookie rushing seasons if he keeps up his pace from the last 3 weeks.

Both of the tackles Seattle drafted have played 100% of the snaps.

Complete agreement here. Some drafts are transformative, but they are rare. Seattle couldn't draft from 2018-2021, but hit 2022. The Saints nailed the 2017 draft, which set them up from 2017-2020...now they're very thin after missing on guys.

I'd be all in on Quinn for the right price.

I also agree that Sermon needs more touches. I'm not a big Boston Scott fan unless we're playing the NYG.

Dude.  Your post said "two guys".  That's Smith and Dickerson.  Don't move the goal post.

If you meant an entire haul, the say "something between the '74 Steelers (Swan, Lambert, Stallworth, Webster) and the '17 Saints (Lattimore, Ramczyk, Kamara, Williams)".

I'm not so sure about that. As I mentioned yesterday, I'm starting to get a little uncomfortable about the NFC South. We already know that SOMEONE has to win the division, so why should we care who does, as long as it's not the Saints? I'd kinda breathe a little easier seeing the Saints fall a couple games behind the division leader. As it stands now, they're only one game out.

The Bucs already have four losses. Is a fifth loss going to be particularly helpful to us? Only if we fall apart, I guess. But it's hard to see us falling apart and then also winning the division too, which is what would be needed for us to even care about the Bucs record. What I mean is, if we go 12-5, it's quite possible we'd be a wild card and not the division winner, so we'd be the fifth seed regardless.

Man, the last thing we'd need is for the Saints to finish 7-10 and somehow win the damn division, host and win a playoff game, and then have them give us the 23rd pick in the draft rather than one in the top ten.

I hate the Ravens too, so there's always that. And I'm still ticked off at them for playing like utter garbage last year against the Dolphins when it looked like the Dolphins were gonna go 1-16. Instead they kick-started the Miami resurgence.

That is an excellent point ... on all levels.  I should have listened to you the first time you said it.  I won't make that mistake again.

But another team hit on a late round pick!

Probably just getting him to co-sign on a loan.

While Hankins hasn't played a lot, would prefer this not being before the Saints game.

I mean that's not that great of a haul.  It's really that he landed Wilson and Wagner.  Turbin and Irvin were pretty average players.  Irvin was a bad pick for where he was selected in the draft.

Let me tell you about the legend of Derek Barnett.
