No, actually I am using an example from the field of Finance, not economics.

Economics is production, consumption, distribution, etc.

Finance is the management of money, assets, liabilities, etc.

A retirement account is a monetary asset.  People usually consult with Certified FINANCIAL Advisors, not economists, when discussion their retirement plans.

Please continue...

Finance also uses forecasts.

Yikes.

Well, that loss is on you.  You could have engaged after having a proper understanding of what I said and then you wouldn't have made a fool of yourself.

Eagles 2023 dead cap ( if Cox and Kelce are released / retire as post June 1 designations as those contracts were designed )

$ 68,692,364 dead

Eagles 2024 cap ( same with Cox and Kelce )

$ 40,109,500 dead

Are we supposed to bring our kids to witness said fight ??

Thank you.  I thought it was over 60 but couldn't remember.

Also, Already 30.034 million dead in 2025, just need to do some restructures next year and we can push 24 and 25 to plus 60 million dead.

Yes, they can change, and I have given him multiple opportunities to show us how.  I will help get him started.

@jsb235, please tell us the amount of the following base salaries the Eagles would convert to a signing bonus to get from 13.5 to 40 million

Darius Slay - 2023 base - 17 million

Lane Johnson - 2023 base - 14.155 million

Robert Quinn - 2023 base - 12.9 million

C'mon @jsb235, I started the work for you, how much base is being converted to a signing bonus, and how many years will the bonus be spread ??

That's an extra benefit for him.

I missed this but Joe D and Jon Ritchie are going to replace Angelo on the morning show.

Joe has gotten insufferable over the years but I really enjoy Ritchie.  I wonder if James is also going to produce that show.  They all had a good chemistry together.  Kinda sucks since I rarely ever listen to the morning show.

But do they do now for the midday? Maybe James and Elliott take that over?

JaMarr Chase is out for 4-6 weeks. Glad he could beat the Saints when he did.

Wow. Jamar Chase for 4-6 weeks.  That would suck for any fantasy owners of Joe Burrough.

Good thing I traded for Burrow instead

I just brought him up yesterday when he got cut. And you responded all butthurt starting this back and forth because I mentioned the pillars.

I didn’t take offense to your Gannon post.  WTH are you talking about?   You’re stoned.  Holy hell.

My response to you yesterday is below.  Pillars?  Pillars?  I don't see no stinkin' pillars?  Butt hurt?  Butt hurt?  I don't see no stinkin' butt hurt?   Your imagination is running away with you.

Stuff it.  The discussion you reference was when the team was at (or close to) a 0-0 record ... as was every other team in the NFC.  Now they are 6-0 with the minimum of a game lead on all the other teams.  The depth needed for an all out SB push is different than the =depth needed in week one of a "make the Playoffs" year with hopes of winning a round or two in those Playoffs.

You really love to pick those nits.

In my $$$ league, I had traded TJ Hockenson for DK Metcalf, and the traded Metcalf for Tee Higgins.  #winning

I will take things we knew 4 hours ago for $200.00 Alex.

Thanks.  I don't know enough about the cap. Hopefully that's not the norm with this team.  That's 3 plus years from now with a ton of dead cap.

Restructures will happen next year, there is no way around it.

Eagles currently have just over 12 million in cap space, with 43 players under contract.

If they use the 6 draft picks as they are currently positioned, the draft class this year cost 12.5 million, will obviously he slightly higher next year.

That is more than the current cap space, and only gives them 49 players under contract.

Eagles will have no choice but to add to the already 40.1 million dead in 2024, and 30 million dead in 2025.
