It is not as rosey as you think, Eagles have north of 50 million dead next year, and if they want to keep CJG and Bradberry, they will end up with north of 50 million dead in 2024.  ( already 30 dead )

Where are you getting your Dead Cap numbers.  Spotrac has next year's Dead Cap at $27,389,571.  That is "north of $27 million" not "north of  $50 million."  Spotrac has 2024's Dead Cap at $0 not $30 million.  OverTheCap has similar numbers, $28,294,034 for next year and $0 for 2024.

Yeah it’d be nice to play with the lead instead of uphill battle from behind.

Go Carson!

Because it is not taking into account players on the last year of their contract with void years to spread out the prorated bonuses.

Atta boy Schwarber.

Good eye.

Set the tone early.

Seems like a cross conflict. I know he's a PSU guy, but he's a Cowboy pulling for a Philly team, and at the same time, he's a player for a Texas team rooting against another Texas team. Wonder how hometown fans feel about that. Though I have to say, I have no idea what kind of in state rivalry exists between Houston and Dallas, if any.

I can’t tell if you’re talking about hometown Astros fans or Cowboys fans. If it’s the Cowboys, they don’t have any hometown fans. Only fairweather cockroaches that have never even been to Texas and were probably beat up a lot during the 90s.

Found where we started to break it down back in May. obviously things have changed but that’s a good start.

If you don’t want to go through that thread, here is the early roll up:

I believe @Bwestbrook36 was asking about the 2023 dead cap hit for players no longer on the team.  Assuming nothing happens (contract extensions, post june 1 cuts, etc), this is what we are currently looking at:

Cox (2022 cut) $15,359,292
Javon Hargrave $16,758,000
Brandon Brooks $9,797,237
Isaac Seumalo $3,838,000
James Bradberry $4,972,000
Kyzir White $1,572,000
Anthony Harris $997,412
T.J. Edwards $711,000
  $54,004,941

@downundermike : You mentioned that it was a bit unclear about Cox's hit due to the cut.  I found this on OverTheCap, pretty interesting read.  That is where I got the $15,359,292 number from for 2023.  It looks like there will be a second dead cap hit in 2024 for $7,500,000.

McCullers is wild tonight.

Gonna be opportunities early to score.

Gotta pounce!

We have given AJ Brown a lot of deserved credit for helping Hurts improve, but it can't be understated how impactful this dominant O-line is.
