I'd agree about the other guy that was banned with him

There's a clown in every circus.

I know why he didnt. He ran from weak pressure, and ran the wrong way to where more pressure was. If he stands in there and delivers the ball, its a TD. Of if Smith wasnt quite open just yet, he could had just drifted left in the pocket AWAY from the extra pressure, and had a second longer to let that one fly.

He has no idea how to move in the pocket.

I think he has improved on this and certainly is better than last season. He still needs a lot of improvement.

That last throw on the clip, with the oncoming rusher, scared the ish out of me live.  He floated the ball and it sailed right over AJs head...couldnt see Goedert just off screen there. Thought that was a pick

That throw to Devonta was the best of the night, IMO.

Tbh the bullpen without Suárez has been good. The two guys in the pen who have given up runs out of the pen have been Alvarado and dominguez which is pretty unbelievable. Add on Suárez on 3 days rest is likely giving you only an inning. With how the pen has looked i trust them to get the one inning Suárez will give you then nola starting in game 7 on 3 days rest. Rather hope we get to a 7 and get him for 3-4 innings.

The BP has been pretty terrific.

So, I agree with you I WOULD rather have a stronger more rested Suarez start over Nola.

There will be no game 7 unfortunately 😞

Nola is done. Wheeler game 6, Ranger game 7 (if they make it). Nola only sniffs the field as a reliever in game 7.

Nola even if he pitches game 7 (assuming we get there) is on 3 days rest. he’s likely getting an inning. I’d be surprised if he got two.

Agreed. After pretty much babying all of his starters for much of the playoffs, I doubt Nola sees more than a couple innings in a game 7 on short rest. I admire Topper's whole idea of playing to winning game 6 at all costs. Gotta lay all your chips on the line for this game and worry later. I mean yesterday was a bullpen game and they did well and should have won if Hoskins makes a play. It's all hands on deck for game 7, regardless.

Now people are crying about "Our Schedule".   Had the Birds lost last night, they would be saying "Look you lost to the Texans, you're not that good".   They win by two scores and it's "Well they hung with you on a short week".  The spin is hilarious.   I mean it's so funny how  8-0 is really something nobody can argue against so they are tying themselves up in knots trying to find something negative.  The Eagles play the toughest Division in Football Period.  The NFC BEAST is better than ever single division this year.

We've got multiple relievers I'd rather use.

I'm not really detecting much of a spin.  Eagles are getting a lot of respect.

Prediction winner for the week is @NCTANK with a prediction of 30-17.

Bonus Winners:

@Diehardfan finally hit on Hurts two fumbles

@FranklinFldEBUpper Goedert TD

@e-a-g-l-e-s eagles! gets a half point for Castellanos walk, which was probably the boldest prediction of them all.

Amazing about castellanos last night is his first two at bats he saw a total of 5 pitches. Meanwhile his last 3 at bats he saw 10, 7 and 6 pitches. Probably means nothing but that’s still something better than what he has been.

I froze this pic a split second before Jalen ducks and runs.

First of all, at this moment, he should be releasing the pass. The safety in the middle of the field is paying attention to Smith, but is flat footed. Smith is streaking full speed at around the 22 yard line, and the safety is flat footed at the 25. In other words, this safety is toast.

But if he felt he needed to move to buy  more time (which was wrong), the yellow line depicts where he stupidly ran. You can see how those 2 DL easily disengage and pursue him. And the small red line shows where he could have drifted in the pocket to still deliver that pass to Smith, with the OL still at an angle to wall off that DL from getting to Hurts.

I also used the blue line to depict that there are 4 passing options who all ran routes within 10 yards of the LOS. All the question marks are begging the question- why is all of this green grass unused by the offense?

Only 1 WR (Smith) went beyond that point. Hurts looks at him getting wide open for a TD but doesnt want to throw that far. The whole offense is designed around his puny arm and unwillingness to throw the ball down field.

At the 8 second mark, pressure was collapsing in on Hurts and the safety did not make a commitment yet to whether covering the underneath route or not. How can he rip it down the seam at that point?

safety was toast. And Hurts moved the wrong way, rather than avoiding pressure, he turned the heat up on himself x10.

I said that he was beating the blitz last night. But as I was typing the post, he fumbled the football.

Hitting coach probably told him to stop swinging at everything out of the strike zone.

agreed

OK draft analytics guys.  Anyone know what the highest and lowest the Saints pick can become this week?

If that’s the case they either should’ve done that 4 months ago or he just hasn’t been listening

We've seen him throw deep before. No idea why he didn't pull the trigger there

So, 8-0? In 1983, my CYO team went 8-0 and we won the league championship.

I'm not sayin'... I'm just sayin'...
