So, 8-0? In 1983, my CYO team went 8-0 and we won the league championship.

I'm not sayin'... I'm just sayin'...

I remember that. I won a bundle on that team.

  • Perfect weekend for me. I got to make my long time soul mate my wife officially. And I got a eagles win today. Life is good.

I take full credit, being a 60 minute kid (Center on offense, Left DE on defense). I've often considered buying a Brandon Graham jersey, because that was my number as well. Unfortunately, living so close to the Redskins, our colors were burgundy and gold, but at least we were the Bulldogs and not a little league clone of the Redskins.

IIRC thought I had 24-17

Prediction winner for the week is @NCTANK with a prediction of 30-17.

Bonus Winners:

@Diehardfan finally hit on Hurts two fumbles

@FranklinFldEBUpper Goedert TD

@e-a-g-l-e-s eagles! gets a half point for Castellanos walk, which was probably the boldest prediction of them all.

lol I'm sticking with it. It seems to be working.

Now people are crying about "Our Schedule".   Had the Birds lost last night, they would be saying "Look you lost to the Texans, you're not that good".   They win by two scores and it's "Well they hung with you on a short week".  The spin is hilarious.   I mean it's so funny how  8-0 is really something nobody can argue against so they are tying themselves up in knots trying to find something negative.  The Eagles play the toughest Division in Football Period.  The NFC BEAST is better than ever single division this year.

I’ve just realised that the Christmas Eve game could be a huge game(on top of it being a game against Dallas) and it’s on at 9:25pm Irish time and that could cause issues as I’ve got family returning to Ireland after three years after Covid. I don’t think it will go over well if I say "nice ye are home but the eagles game is on.”

You gotta set the stage. Tell them you are glad they are coming. There is a big game on and youre having a football party. When they get there they should be expecting some pizza, or whatever you eat while you watch sports in Ireland, and the game on TV. Tell them its such great timing, you are excited they are coming for the big game.

Pretty cool that the game ball to Lurie was not really about the 8-0 start. It was a gift to him for making Philly such a great place for the players to come to work, recognizing that he takes great care of them.

I missed this during the game, but saw it pointed out later. If already posted, just keep scrolling. Cam Jurgens playing in the slot?

Nah our schedule has been soft trash. But you play who they put in front of you. So many bad teams. Very odd season…

We've seen him throw deep before. No idea why he didn't pull the trigger there

For me the easy answer is because he was worried about getting sacked for the safety and that made him rush and panic too.

Our schedule is soft, but we're beating bad teams by double digits which is what good teams do.

On Dallas, Id add this as well-

We still stopped Dallas because they didnt run on every single play, and our pass D at times this season is like an automatic incompletion.

But if Bradberry ever has a night like last night where he actually looks human, then it could get ugly against those teams with a WR or 2 on their roster.

If we didnt have the top 2 CBs in the league, Im not sure we would ever get stops.

Those are some really good throws by Hurts.

I think he has improved on this and certainly is better than last season. He still needs a lot of improvement.

HE, you are asking for "it all"  NC, you are saying "it's coming"

Brought this up last night as it happened.  He lined up as a tackle and then motioned out.  Made a joke that he was the most natural looking lineman ever to split out, but he was a tight end before.  You have go wonder if this is a preview of a different trick play.

I was talking about the D. He was talking about the QB.

I heard someone question the logic of this post, so I analyzed it a little deeper.

Invite them to watch it with you.  Then it's on them for being anti-social and not spending quality time with you.  Offer them a pint and watch the game together.

Yup.  It's all about the way you approach the situation.  You gotta be proactive.  @EaglesIreland

I remember DeVonta playing TE with his hand in the dirt for a play last year next to Mailata. I like that Siri does stuff like that. Maybe Kelce will get a play like he alluded to a few weeks ago.

I said that he was beating the blitz last night. But as I was typing the post, he fumbled the football.

I believe that fumble was a Kelce's fault on the snap.

Might have been what started it but Hurts had poor pocket awareness there. As soon as I was complimenting him for something....

OK draft analytics guys.  Anyone know what the highest and lowest the Saints pick can become this week?

Worst case = 12 if the Saints win

Best case = 5

Houston Texans
Las Vegas Raiders
Detroit Lions
Carolina Panthers
Philadelphia Eagles (via NO)

Key games for us: Bucs beating Rams, Falcons beating Chargers and obviously Ravens beating Saints.
