Yea, I find the butterfly effect to be pretty fascinating when you sit down and think about how one move can drastically change everything.

One of the best examples in Football is Miami’s team Dr., not clearing Drew Brees, Saban ended up with Culpepper, then he bolted for Alabama.

What else are we going to talk about while waiting for the Eagles to sign Bo Melton ??

You don't take the risk when a QB is at stake.  Don't play, get your QB.  We'll see if the right one is there.

Agreed.

Will Anderson is a better prospect than Myles Garrett, but if you find a QB you love in the draft go get him.

@LeanMeanGM  Are half games allowed in predictions?

I just counted it as a tie

Anything other than the motivation of the Bills front office 14 years ago. Let's talk about Reed Blankenship. Kid's the new Vince Papale...tons of effort, don't know if he has the athletic profile to be anything other than a box S. Andddd go...

And as proven beyond a shadow of a doubt, it was absurd that he was a pro bowler or a second team all pro.

This is a good example of the coordinated trolling between certain posters.

This is a comment with no purpose other than to derail the blog.

Wrong. Devon Allen is clearly Vince Papale

Devon Allen actually has athletic prowess.

If that’s the case then teams should be trying to trade up for him like they do QBs.

Fair enough. I am really not going to argue over semantics.

Vince did too, if you are implying that he didn't.   Certainly not at an Olympic level though.

I think he is more like the T J Edwards of Ss where his instincts greatly help offset his physical limitations but against speed, he is susceptible to failure.   I wonder if he is just holding Chachere’s spot until Chachere is healthy.

 Of course he did. Just being facetious.

Vince Papale — the real one, not the reel one — was a decathlete in college. I think he maybe had some prowess.

I agree.  My prediction has them going 7-2 over those first 9 games

Lions Win 1-0
Vikings Win 2-0
Commanders Win but close 3-0
Jaguars Win 4-0
Cardinals Loss 4-1
Cowboys Win 5-1
Bye
Steelers Win 6-1
Texans Win 7-1
Commanders Loss but close 7-2
Colts Win 8-2
Packers Win but close 9-2
Titans Win 10-2
Giants Win 11-2
Bears Win 12-2
Cowboys Loss but close 12-3
Saints Win 13-3
Giants Tossup 13.5-3.5

One major thing to note: Kyler Murray is a completely different QB with and without Deandre Hopkins.

https://arizonasports.com/story/3128400/by-the-numbers-cardinals-offensive-stumbles-without-deandre-hopkins/amp/

They went 8-2 with him and Murray was an MVP candidate. In games Hopkins was out with injury, they went 3-5 and lost to teams like the Seahawks, Panthers, and the Lions.

Games with Hopkins where Murray threw under 65.5% completion: 0 of 10

Games without Hopkins where Murray threw under 65.5% completion: 4 of 8, including multiple under 60%

Hopkins will be suspended for PEDs for the Eagles game.

It's slightly more than just semantics. There is no real reason driving the Steelers to continually lose in Philadelphia from 1965 to present.

Will Anderson reminds me of DeMarcus Ware. Just so smooth he makes dominance look easy.

I agree, but I think this QB class is being overrated because it’s following the worst class in years. It has some good prospects, but no Luck or Burrow. Not even a Lawrence. That doesn’t mean one of these guys can’t turn out to be special, but you can say that about any QB class. At least right now I don’t see special with most of them. If I had the #1 overall pick as it stands right now I’d take Anderson and continue to build the roster until a QB you deem special comes along.

Theres also a record number of teams with multiple firsts next year. Whoever gets those top 5 picks and doesn’t need a QB is going to get many offers. It’s highly possible we don’t get one even if we try
