They’ve had issues most of the year defensively. They are giving up 25.3 ppg which is 27th in the league and 31st run defense. 

If LAC can't get Payton they should hire Shane Steichen.

I don't want to lose Shane, but we will. He's an awesome playcaller and QB whisperer. Can do wonders with a talent like Herbert.

It all comes down to Strength of Schedule since the Rams and Saints are tied in W-L record.  At the beginning of today Saints opponents had 105 wins and 103 losses while the Rams opponents had 103 wins and 105 losses.

saints opponents are 6-6 so far today with the Cardinals game yet to play.  Rams opponents are 6-4 with Cardinals (x2) and Chargers left to play.  If the Cardinals and Chargers both win then the SOS wold be identical for the Rams and Saints

Hurts did an amazing job with the quick release against the blitz today.  Best I've seen from him.  He was dishing the football under pressure to WRs that weren't open yet...but he was throwing it to the end of their route and they were open when they got there.  It was beautiful passing.  All from the pocket.  He remains a mess throwing on the run.  But there's a solution to that...just don't do it.  Run on designed runs and keep dominating from the pocket.  I may have been dead wrong on Hurts early on, but I always said his theoretical best case comparison was Drew Brees and I'm sticking to that.

Carolina definitely playing the best in the NFC South.  Haven't looked at their schedules but would be awesome if the Panthers can overtake the Bucs and win that division.

I thought the emoji would be enough to signal the exaggerated nature of the post. Mahomes is a GOAT candidate in the making, and as much as I love Hurts, I would drive him to KC myself if Andy offered us Mahomes in exchange.
