Brian Johnson has a lot to do with it.  When the defense is on the field, Hurts with his IPad is sitting with Johnson discussing things.

Best news for us is Brian Johnson being a big part of Jalen's development.  Could be 2023 and 2024 3rd round picks for the Eagles if he gets a HC job.

More than a week and a half from Cowboys game. Reed should be back.

But if the Jaguars don’t beat Dallas, it would probably mean the Titans will have it clinched when they play Dallas a few weeks later and would have little to play for as far as seeding is concerned.

Jags are 7-6
Titans are 5-8

Jags/Titans play in week 18.

So the Titans need to be more than 1 game up before that game, otherwise it's win and in.
Jags sched: Cowboys, Jets, Texans, Titans
Titans sched: Chargers, Texans, Cowboys, Jags

Basically, root like hell for the Chargers this week .

I remember someone saying over a year ago that Brian Johnson is the best HC candidate on the staff.

Hmm.

You have to think he is.  Look at the type of quarterbacks that are coming out of college.  Pocket passers are gone by the wayside.  If Johnson shows that he can work and develop Hurts in to an MVP, I'd think a lot of teams would be lining up thinking what could he do with Stroud or even a guy like Richardson.

That was a penalty more than the herbert roughing the passer

I have no idea how that wasn't flagged. He was at least two steps OOB.

He's likely getting interviewed by teams for an OC position

I'd figure he can be the OC here when Steichen takes a HC job.

Well men, I have to say that Hurts continues to impress me. I'm not sure how Siri took what he was last year and made him into what he is this year but it has to be one of the best jobs of coaching I have seen in my 60 years on this planet. I hope this continues into the playoffs against much tougher teams but if it does I just might have to buy a Hurts jersey per my comments last year (not that I want to support Lurie at all).

Hurts is a coach's son.  I listened to his interview with Jason and Travis Kelce on their podcast.  He really comes across as a young man that was raised to work.  Whatever his ceiling may be, I do not think he will stop working or be unwilling to try to correct his mistakes.   I think he deserves credit for his improvement along with the coaches.

I think he's a good candidate to promote and then bring in Reich as either a consultant or the QB coach.

You know Hurts and this offense is cooking when you find yourself laughing at a few plays.

- Fake sneak toss for the 1st down.

- Wide open TD pass to AJB

Were a few of those plays.

Reminds me of my favorite (but very faded) memories of Andy Reid.  Remember when the cameras caught him saying "Watch this" and the play was a go route (I think) to a wide open receiver for 6?  He knew he got the matchup he wanted.  Pure beauty.

Happy for Blankenship. Obviously helps the team's postseason run, but a full blown ACL might have upended his career. He's shown the upside to at least be a backup safety in the NFL.

Definitely - aside from the short-term loss, I hate these late season injuries as they muck up the offseason prep and run into the following season.

I see that Jameson Williams is back - we had all we could handle from DET offense w/o him way back when.

Injury decisions should be simple this week

- Replace Kyron Johnson with Christian Ellis
- Sign a punter to the PS, then elevate. Shouldn't need to use IR
- Sign a safety to the PS, then elevate. Shouldn't need to use IR
- Cut Tyree Jackson, activate Goedert to the main roster

Tyree Jackson is clearly TE4 on the roster and isn't as good as Stoll/Calcaterra.

Funny thing about that non sneak is they played it perfectly the first time too with running Hurts off to the side where he may have gone for 6. I was glad they didn’t go back to a normal sneak. They played it perfectly both times.

Opening day in Houston 2006. First TD of the season to Stallworth.

What about that beautiful catch and concentration by Smith on that td? Not sure what the DB was thinking

Since the commanders game and us adding suh and joseph we've really improved on stopping the run. Considering how bad we were, those guys were great additions. Tackling is clearly much better too.

Colts - 99 yards, 84 for Taylor

GB - 106 yards

Titans - 87 yards - 30 for Henry

Giants - 123 yards - 28 for barkey

Jags and Titans will now both need to go all out for Dallas.

I have more confidence in the Jags at this point although the Titans should have Fulton and Burks back from their injuries at that point.

Possibly a 15 yard roughing penalty. Looked like he easily could have separated him from the ball, but was scared to take the shot.

Looked like he was going for the pick the entire way. Still a good catch and concentration by Smith

I don't know what the F is going on with the Chipotle near my house, but I placed an order last week to pick up at 1 pm and it wasn't ready until 1:30.  Chips were stale and gross.  The restaurant itself was absolutely disgusting too and looked like they hadn't cleaned anything for a month.  There was disgusting sour cream and lettuce that spilled into the hot salsa bins and I watched this dude pour it into someone's cup.  Get your sheet together Chipotle.

That sucks. I'm glad I don't have that problem

He thought he could pick it off.  He had no intention of going for the hit.

I couldn't get the Eagles feed on XM Radio so I had to listen to the Giants feed with Bob Papa and Carl Banks for the first half before I got home.  They were aghast that Julian Love didn't simply try to knock the ball down given it was a 4th down play.  Didn't even go up for the ball; just tried to basket-catch it.
