Not surprisingly, you completely ignored everything I said.   When responding to someone, it's always nice to actually respond to the statement made, not just reassert your previous statement.

The goal of winning the Super Bowl is every team's goal.  I laid out a case, point by point, that the Eagles are following the exact same blueprint that the Ravens followed.  2019, the Ravens were 14-2, best record in the NFL... with a QB that set the record for the most rushes in a single season.  Eagles are following that perfectly.  The Ravens then lost in the playoffs... in their first match up.  (That remains to be seen for the Eagles.).  The Ravens followed the same blue print for 2020.  Same results.  2021... same results, but Jackson missed a bunch of games... then refused to give him the huge contract he asked for.  2022, he's running less frequently per game, and the Ravens still aren't giving him the contract he's asking for.

Where have I detached from reality?  Is there anything in any of that that is factually inaccurate?

Eagles aren't the the 2019 Ravens and Jalen isn't Lamar.  Ravens aren't refusing to give Lamar a contract, they have offered him a long term deal, they just aren't agreeing to give him the fully guaranteed contract that he wants.

You are 100% fully detached from reality living in a fantasy world inside your own head if you honestly believe that the Eagles are planning on moving on from Hurts and not giving him a big new contract this summer to keep him in Philadelphia long term.

I'll go ask him.

That is really amazing since they have been in the lead the majority of games where QB's need to pass to try and get back in the game.

Almost every coach on the other teams went to the 5 minute drill run game to get a FG or a failed 4th down or the occasional TD while down 20 or 17. Its bizarre how inept the other teams have been. Its a form of surrender to a superior team, I guess.

Wonder if they’re able to re-sign Miles, Bradberry, and Hargrave that he might be odd man out

I dont care if they resign any of those 3 (Hargrave is borderline for me and I would sign him in a second on a shorter contract). I would resign Edwards tomorrow and run with him and Dean. Those two could lock up that position for years to come. While I will admit that LBs are relatively easy to replace it was very clear that we missed Hicks when we let him walk.

Arizona at 239.

This is not sarcasm or snark (and its directed to everyone)... Anyone who does not know about or use PFR, its a great site. You can sort the schedule by all sorts of stats.

Only 4 teams have hit 200 passing vs Philly and only 2 teams topped 205.

That's nuts.

To be specific, Kyler threw for 250.  We sacked him once for 11 yards.

Yes I use PFR all the time. I was just too lazy to look it up.

And really CE should’ve included it, C- reporting grade CE

I know everyone loves to groan about our porous run defense, but in the modern day NFL, I'll take a dominant pass defense that's mediocre against the run over the inverse every single time.

DeVonta was my favorite college player to watch in a while. The biggest knock on him coming out was his size but he plays so damn tough. Similar to rebounding in basketball, it’s a mentality and you have to want to do the dirty work. He has that mentality and I think he’s one of the toughest guys on this team. He loves the physical part of the game and plays like he’s 230 lbs.

Riddle me this, batman.

Premise 1: We supposedly have a monster OL that is better at run blocking than pass blocking.
Premise 2: The Bears' D was ranked 29th against the run, but have a QB with a similar style to Hurts as far as the running game goes.

Conclusion:  You have to run the ball with the QB to be effective running the ball against them?

Why not put the game on the big boys upfront?  Why not go with a much more 'traditional' running attack, allowing Hurts to be more of a decoy than the primary ball carrier and keep the hits off the QB on a cold and windy day in Chicago on a terrible playing surface?  Maybe even use Jurgens as a TE on a few occasions to get the numbers more in your favor to run the ball?    Sanders put up huge numbers against GB.  He put up huge numbers on the Giants.  Both of whom were in roughly the same area of the rankings as a run defense as the Bears.  Why give the Bears what they practice against versus what they have struggled against all year?

Da Bears made a choice on D yesterday.  Either focus on the run or the pass. They focused on the run and the Eagles kept them honest with a few runs but had two receivers over 100:yards and over 300 yards combined. Pick your poison.

I’m too lazy to dig into this any further than the tweet, but that’s a crazy stat.

They have played a pretty crappy schedule where the teams they play usually follow up the game against them vs a better opponent

Week 1 Lost to Bears  -  Week 2 Bears lose to Packers
Week 2 Beat Seattle - Week 3 Seattle loses to Atlanta
Week 3 Lost to Broncos  - Week 4 Broncos lose to Raiders
Week 4 - Beat Rams - Week 5 Rams lose to Cowboys
Week 5 - Beat Panthers - Week 6 Panthers lose to Rams
Week 6 - Lost to Falcons - Week 7 Falcons lose to Bengals
Week 7 - Got crushed by Chiefs - Week 8 Chiefs have bye but beat Tenn right after that
Week 8 -  Beat Rams - Week 9 Rams lose to Bucs
Week 9 -  Bye
Week 10 -  Beat Chargers - Week 11 Chargers lose to Chiefs
Week 11 -  Beat Cardinals - Week 12 Cardinals lose by 1 to Chargers
Week 12 - Beat Saints - Week 13 Saints lose to Bucs
Week 13 -  Beat Dolphins - Week 14 Chargers beat Dolphins
Week 14 - Beat Bucs - Week 15 Bucs lose to Bengals
Week 15 - Beat Seattle - Week 16 Seattle plays Chiefs  ...  Guess we better put $$$ on the Chiefs

We are second in the league in total yards per game on defense.  Sixth in points.  First in wins.  The scheme is working.

May be that his pass pro needs catching up to his run blocking. I also think he is playing hurt.

That left side needs to be shored up for next season though, one way or another. Improvement from Dickerson, another open competition between Dillard and Mailata.... something.

There are some younger free agents on the line available next cycle... and some raw high draft picks. Dillard will be gone as a free agent.

Single high safety with 8 in the box all game.

They invited the deep shots down the side line, so we took them.

Yep, just looked it up and we are the league's top pass defense by an insanely wide margin. Allowing an average of 172yds per game, with the next closest team at 191. What's also interesting to note is who the league's worst pass defense is. Take a wild guess as to who it is...

I love how he gets hyped up about blocking.  That play where he took out 2 defenders leading the way for Sanders was awesome!

The 49ers are not a great team. They got owned by Atlanta, demolished by KC, and lost to Denver and Chicago.

They may flex at home for a game or two in the playoffs and then get the Vikings treatment at the Linc.

Who? Dallas (hopefully)

Dillard will be interesting. Not sure he gets a meaningful deal to start for anyone, and he is the backup left tackle and left guard. For $2 million, I would bring him back for a year. I don't think he will get more than that on the open market.

Despite what fat shamer @Ipiggles thinks, the world will miss Ivana Knoll.  We can only hope that Croatia wins the next World Cup so she can fulfill her porno promise

For craps and giggles, what are the cap implications of an offseason Mailata trade? @downundermike?

Agreed. I am not worried about them as much as say Dallas or Minnesota (i know, i know). SF has a very good defense which plays physical, but they are better up front than on the back end and can be attacked. What really matters is that their offense will not score or move the ball well vs our defense. All we gotta do is put up points if we get them in the playoffs.
