Depends on the type/severity of the injury . I suffered a broken metatarsal last year when one of my new deckhands left a hatch open on the boat.  I was back running in about a month.

They wouldn’t say "out indefinitely” if it’s a short term injury.

Significant makes it sound likes he's done until next year.

Yup.  I doubt Lane comes back before next season too.  They just want to make it sound like he has a chance

Well, they did say CJ Gardener Johnson was "out indefinitely" as well and they expect him back.  Not saying that it couldn't be long term just that I wouldn't read too much into the use of that term.

Losing Lane sucks big time

How does this work going forward?

Driscoll to RT?

Either that or Dillard to LT and Mailata to RT. I’d opt for Driscoll though and keeping Mailata where he is.

May Driscoll be this year's Vatai!

This.

Maddox has a little under 2 months to rest til the Super Bowl if he can't get back for the divisional round.

And the Eagles already won a game and a half this year without Lane at RT. Just roll with Driscoll at RT. No need to mess with Mailata's head right before the playoffs. Beat the Saints, get rest, and everyone nut up for the SB run.

Wow.  Lots of stupidity in here right now bashing Gannon.

To be fair, this is one of the times where it's absolutely deserved. Calling cover-2 on 3rd and 30 is about as dumb as you can get.

That being said, as much as we want to hate on Dak, he made a good throw there, and at other points in the game. Lamb is supremely frustrating to cover and even more to watch (knowing that he fell into their lap when we could've traded up for him instead of taking Reagor.) Pollard is also insanely underrated and a match up problem for just about any defense in the league. That was not an offense that is as putrid as we (as fans) make it out to be.

Despite how poorly the defense played, we are still somehow 5th in DVOA, 2nd in yards, 10th in pts. He could be doing worse for it being his second year as a DC. Hopefully he learns from some of these embarrassing mistakes and comes up with a far better game plan if we have to face them again in January.

And I'm board looking at tackle prospects in the upcoming draft.

Lane said he's probably only playing 2 more seasons anyways.

Could be some serious value in RD2-RD4

Completely different situations. CJGJ was "out indefinitely” because it’s all about how fast his kidney heals. They also said at the time he doesn’t need surgery and could be back in time for the post season. With Maddox they aren’t going to say "significant” and "out indefinitely” just for him to be ready in 3 weeks for the playoffs. If that was the case they would have worded it similar to Lane Johnson. Out for the regular season and we’ll see if he can play in the post season.

Really would like to beat the saints this week to clinch everything by ourselves. But also should be rooting for the giants to beat the colts because if they do then they clinch a playoff spot and will likely rest starters week 18 if it comes to that

I'd cut off my toe and donate it if it meant Josiah Scott never sees the field again.

Yep, apples and oranges. Maddox is almost certainly done, for all intents and purposes. Even if he comes back, he'll likely be limited by the toe injury far more than CJGJ would be limited by his kidney.

The chances the Eagles bring LeBlanc back are?

I'm not sure why anyone is upset at the Lane Johnson news.

I fully expect he'll be back, starting for the divisional playoffs.  Now, I have no confidence in the health of Lane's body, so I bet he doesn't make it through the game...but that's the skeptic in me.  Regardless, it very much sounds like he'll be back for the playoffs.

Imagine how bad mcphearson must be if they won’t play him over scott. They attempted to have mcphearson learn slot last training camp and he played some in college.

I don’t think it’s just Lane, it’s entering a very crucial game of our season with an already banged up team.

Yup. Gannon doesn’t need to be fired or anything, but you can’t make such boneheaded decisions either.

Don't get too down, boys. The Daytona 500 is only 55 days away!

Disagree. I’ve seen enough over the past two seasons. He’s much too green for what we need. There is no 5-year plan here; we need someone who can put together an effective scheme with these players to beat the upper echelon of QBs in this league. Gannon has proven that he is not quite there yet and we can’t afford to keep waiting for him to develop. We should have won that game on Saturday even with the turnovers.

Ej smith and sheil went into it further. Gannon was trying to disguise his coverage on the play. Sheil flipped out saying why the hell are you disguising what you are doing on 3rd and 30. Just make sure no one beats you over the top and keep everything in front of you and it’s likely a punt and getting the ball back up 7
