Just notice this part. "But what’s funny is, when my phone rang I actually think it came up as maybe a spam call. Then the area code hit me: 215??? "

Howie's phone is listed as SPAM because he calls so many people with crazy ideas.

His mom is a Bird fan. Maybe she's in here

"Also, I didn’t tell y’all this before, but it’s almost like destiny aligned me with the Eagles — because my mom has been an Eagles fan for years!! "

@hputenis is Jordan Davis's mom.

You and others choose to ignore the valid criticisms that have been going on about Hurts.  There has been plenty of lengthy discussions talking about the concerns that we all have.  Then it gets to a point of ridiculousness when blind homers try to make him out to be more than he is.  Or worse yet, call people racist who don’t believe in the guy.  You seem to grow silent when those "bullies” start to "vent”.  Doesn’t surprise me that someone like you and others in your group pick and choose when you want to get self-righteous.   You’re no different then the rest of us, you just think you are.  Claims of racism or tasteless jokes about domestic abuse are neither "discussion” nor "conversation”.

I don't choose to ignore those valid criticisms, but I have nothing meaningful to add to those criticisms.  They are what they are, and nothing we say in here is going to change them.  If I don't have anything meaningful to add I simply zip my lip.

When you say "it gets to a point of ridiculousness when blind homers try to make him out to be more than he is" you are effectively saying that you are right and those homers are wrong.  My question to you is, "What does being right or wrong matter on a question that we have absolutely no ability to change the outcome of?"  If you are right, the outcome is the same.  If you are wrong, the outcome is the same.  Why does being right or wrong matter?

I agree with you 100% with your "Or worse yet ..." Claims of racism or tasteless jokes about domestic abuse absolutely are neither "discussion” nor "conversation”.

I don't grow silent when the "bullies" start to "vent."  I have gone silent well before that ... and it is a good possibility that anyone who is a "bully" is on my Ignore list.

I think what you see as "self righteousness," I see as "boredom." And as I said above, I simply have nothing meaningful to add to the topic at hand.

In closing, I want to thank you for the thoughtful reply.  I enjoyed reading it, and it made me think.

I can't fathom how it could be any worse.  Hopefully everyone knocked the rust off and my son gets more snaps.  Also, Detroit has a very good OL.  I don't know if we will face an OL at that level for awhile.

No crap sherlock, maybe these issues aren't black and white? Maybe there's room for nuance in these discussions?

Like stop focusing on Hurts not being Peyton, and start focusing on what would make Hurts a better version of Hurts.

Stop focusing on imaginary QBs that we might magically obtain, and start looking at realistic alternatives.

Which is pretty much why I've stop responding to most of the people here, I like to discuss things, but I put in mental earplugs when fools shout at me.

Yet after all these years of failing, you still cant grasp that you are the fool shouting…

you dont like to discuss. You like to bloviate

@LeanMeanGM Vikings 52 Eagles 31

Reagor gives us some hope when he muffs a punt in the 3rd quarter.  Vikings score 52 points in a petty revenge  move by running up the score.  Gannon, in post game press conference, still expresses confidence in his scheme and note that Howie took over playcalling in the 3rd quarter.

Curious... who is left with that organization from 2017?    It has to be a small number.

I for one would like to know the parameters for which we are to engage in social commentary in regards to those feathered creatures that we all so dearly love.  I've grown quite wearisome.  @Arthur Jackson please draw me a bath.

That’s been 5 years. Who besides Theilen was even on that Vikings team

Thielen for sure. Dalvin Cook would be another (but I don't remember if he actually played). Harrison Smith. Eric Kendricks.

That's about all I got.

Thielen, Harrison Smith, Danielle Hunter, Eric Kendricks may be it

Good call on Hunter, forgot that one.

Just the embittered fans.

You guys are missing the big picture. This isn't the 2017 revenge game. It isn't even the Reagor revenge game.

Its the Nick Mullens revenge game.

This is what I have so far. If I'm missing anything/anyone or have something wrong let me know.

The Vikes may just be a tough out.

At the Linc, okay. Monday Night, Big Lights, National Game, Everybody tuned in. Home field, crowd noise, no travel, no excuses.

Still a strong O to defend against, hopefully Gannon can scheme a D Line that can get home, we'll see how good he is right here.

Hurts needs to stay within a gameplan (?) and take what's there. Coaches need to use Boobie a lot, and Gainwell. Scott should get some touches too. He's a Try Hard guy, I like him. Get the ball to our Wideouts, all of em. Tight Ends could cripple the D if Hurts can hit those seam routes, will they call them? Can they execute?

Instead of Laser focus, hit the correct receiver as designed.

I expect some runs from the pocket (obviously) on an as needed response, but not a quick bail. Trust your Pocket.

Not a lot to ask, just use the resources available and let the guys play. They are ready, just turn em loose.

I bolded some of my own sh!t to emphasize but the point remains.

Now's the time. National Audience, make a statement that the Birds are for real, plan for us.

It’s like the sixers are purposefully ignoring the jersey that literally every fan since these city editions came out wants

Don't fret.  There are still statement jerseys and probably some other one too.  The AI uniform set will come.

No, it probably won't.  They will make another one mimicking a grey sweatsuit a la Rocky but this time with egg and sweat stains.

Let's vote on it.

The Running backs intrigue me.

Boobie is a potential Home Run hitter every time he touches the ball. Some say lacks vision, may be justified, but don't discount his getawayability...

Gainwell hits the hole well, follows his blocking as designed. Has a nose for the open field. He fast too...

Scott is on my Favorites List. Love his effort, knows the system, never stops playing. Versatile. Hungry.

We could do better but these guys don't suck. Nice Backfield overall.

Great assets, hope our Brain Trust can incorporate these guys into a cohesive part of the attack.

On the coaches now.
