@downundermike Ive been considering PS5 as a christmas gift for my kids and I couldnt decide if I would put it in the basement once we get that all set up for them down there, or if I would keep it in the living room so I could benefit from the snappy performance for streaming different apps.

You might have talked me in to an apple TV device. And I FING HATE apple products. Because they suck.

But I see that walmart has the Apple TV 4K 64GB device marked down to 139.99 (probably marked down because apple sucks) which is for some reason cheaper than the 4K 32GB device.  I dont even need storage on the device but the one with more memory is cheaper so I like the bargain.

You'll need to find a PS5 first lol

that doesnt seem like itll be a problem. I had one in my cart the other day on target.com but didnt get approval from the manager (Mrs HE) yet. That was literally the only day I have tried, out of curiosity. Didnt take long to find one.

yeah that was like 2 weeks ago. Same way I got a switch for my kids like 2 years ago at christmas. I periodically refreshed bestbuy, target, walmart, and amazon throughout the day. Every now and then they would pop up. I got an animal crossing one, and then sold that when I got a normal colored one.

They are still not easy to get but alot easier than before.   They actually had some in store about a month ago.

Question, on the YouTube TV app on firestick, when you scroll previous channels across the bottom, or go to the guide, does it just show you what is on, or does it actually play the channel in the guide, like 11:33 of this video

At this point Hurts, who looked as though he was going out of bounds, decides to take it upfield.

Good stuff by you.   I loved this play... until I hated it.

There are 3 options when Hurts reaches this point... where he's 10 yards beyond the sticks for a fresh set of downs.

1.  Yellow path - Just sneak out of bounds right now at he 11-13 yard line.  Already a big play... Acceptable choice... path of least resistance.

2.  Green path - Best option for long term health.  Just ride Goedert's hip, keeping him between Hurts and the defenders... step out of bounds around the 6 or 7.  Path of greatest gain for least amount of contact.

3.  Red path - Hurts cuts back inside where there are 4 defenders, only 1 of which is actually engaged with a blocker (and there's only one more blocker around).  Lowers his shoulder and takes a potential BIG contact for maximum gain in points in the moment.

Here's why I hate it.

872689277_ScreenShot2022-09-23at1_29_07PM.thumb.png.92ed78a2fa463fd1fcbdc3b78138cc59.png

Hurts has his head down, his back turned to the goal line and is exposed to multiple defenders to hit him from behind while he's spinning through the contact at the 4.  If this is a 3rd down play... a playoff game... or a moment in a big game where the offense had been struggling, then maybe they need this lift and jolt of adrenaline from their QB taking on multiple defenders to get into the end zone.   But, I don't think that it was necessary at all.  It was already a huge play to get inside the red zone... taking the green path puts him around the 6 yard line - first and goal.  Great spot for the offense, in a game they are already leading and are moving the ball virtually at will.

I just don't like my QB exposing himself to big hits like this.  Fortunately, the defender was far more interested in trying to strip the ball away, than actually delivering a blow to Hurts.  But, what if that was Harrison Smith, or Andrew Sendejo instead?  Just an unnecessary risk, in my book and something I want my QB to avoid.

Up until the 11 yard line, I loved this play.  I hated the way it ended because of the risk.  But, that's who Hurts is, and no one within the organization has anything to say about it.  In years gone by when an Eagles' QB would have put himself in that position, the HC and/or OC would have said, "So glad he scored on that, but we don't want our QB taking hits like that."  Just seems to be par for the course with this offense that this is the offense.

Not true.

The Interim is the RB coach, who is apparently loved by the AD

Marvin lewis, and Glen Thomas will also be interviewed for the HC.

Not to mention theres probablt 3 dozen grad asst's on the staff that'll be with the new coaching staff regardless.

Finally, my theory, it was a Grad Asst who got let go, or a bitter position coach who knows theyre gonna leach on some where and just wanted herm gone

Still cowardly and disgusting.

I dont know. My kids have roku tvs but I never use them. My living room TV is vizio with chromecast build in. Which happens to be better than apple. But the TV has a slow processor. No firesticks around here.

Another good thing with Apple TV, you can create users, so you can set up the home screen however you want, and then another user can set up the home screen their way.

Those are DBs. Jalen Hurts is bigger/stronger/thicker than the guys who is tackling him. There's a reason why Hurts dragged them into the end zone.

There is a tremendous difference between getting tackled by DL or LB compared to DBs.

meh....thats more of that apple propaganda that isnt cool to anyone but apple freaks.

Thats like logging in to amazon prime or Netflix on the TV and you have to pick which profile you are logging in with. Thats an extra step which takes more clicking, and more load time.

I only use 3 apps. YoutubeTV, Netflix, and very rarely Amazon but now I guess I will have to use it weekly during the football season.

I dont need separate profiles for that. We would all be using the same apps.

Like I said... if it was Harrison Smith or Andrew Sendejo, it could have been different.   They weren't just DBs, they were CBs.   That said... CBs can lay hits on the QB... and a kidney shot while his back is turned is the concern.  A well placed hit is more dangerous than just a hard one.  I don't want my QB lowering his shoulder and running over anyone at the goal line.   He did it twice in this past game.  He lowered his shoulder running up the middle against DLs and LBs as well.

I'm not going to change my stance on this.  The QB trying to run over defenders... any defenders... is a dangerous game, and its one that I've never seen a QB ultimately win.  Eventually... the QB will lose.

lol just made me think of what a guy like Brian Dawkins would do to someone like Jalen Hurts on the football field.

Here's a cute variation on the Power. We run it because of Kelce. The Power is a simple pull by one of the guards across behind the center. He turns up at the first opening he sees and the RB follows him. This is a gap run rather than a zone run. In this variation, it is the center who pulls around the guard. Minnesota is in a soft front, a 4-2 with the edge guys standing up.

2022-09-23.thumb.png.c1707577ba711d68a12a943838078fab.png

Kelce pulls behind Dickerson, who is one-on-one against the DT. Mailata is one-on-one against the DE.

2022-09-23 (1).png

Dickerson has the DT well in hand. Mailata is turning the DE out. Kelce is turning up the B gap and Sanders is following. The safety (#39) is coming up in run support but here comes Zach Pascal (#26) Quez Watkins (#16).

394581725_2022-09-23(2).thumb.png.93a3eefa073c744fef7dfebb72dfcaea.png

Pascal Watkins takes out the safety so Kelce continues up the alley with Sanders right behind him.

1380819296_2022-09-23(3).thumb.png.e5edca09bb45923710f4f181acb64094.png

Kelce cleans out the LB (#54). The free safety (#24) comes across to make the tackle...

2022-09-23 (4).png

...but Sanders gives him the hip and takes it away. You can just see Brown at the edge of the screen.

1154464972_2022-09-23(5).thumb.png.23174a6e01fc0c7f06ba22a175948d60.png

Brown has no angle on the CB. If he had the angle this play would have gone the distance. As it was, it was a 12-yard gain and a first down.

Watkins block was very good.  I was surprised.  Good effort play all around by the team.  Clearly they are tired of hearing how much harder Jalen Hurts works than them.

His own staff are trying to get him fired?   Do they not realize that they will likely be fired with him?    Dopes.   And they could just ask out of their contracts and go work somewhere else if they don't like working for him.

This is disgusting and cowardly.  I have zero respect for any of them.

And now they probably blackballed themselves from ever joining another program.

I wouldn't want to hire them.
