Eagles are 19th in waiver order.

I believe the order is for all claims.  The Jags are always first, regardless of how many successful claims they've already made.

  • Perfect weekend for me. I got to make my long time soul mate my wife officially. And I got a eagles win today. Life is good.

  • Listen up blog.  Enough. These 2 ass clowns are suspended for 2 weeks.  They've both had warnings to quit the personal attacks.  There's a line between trash talk and just abusing other posters a

Any notable cuts from other teams?

Yup. It doesn't reset until Week 3, I believe.

You want a comparison to Sills? I think Big V. Powerful but shaky technique. I was a little surprised they cut Anderson but he’ll be on the PS if he doesn’t get signed. I’m very comfortable with this decision because it had to be up to Stoutland.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the Bills try and claim him; it sounded like they were not happy he left their PS last season as they rated him highly internally.

Tom Brady, surprisingly

Hes done away with the pompadour he’s been sporting the last few years

Bo Melton from Rutgers got cut by the Seahawks. Definitely KR/PR ability.

A couple weeks ago, I suggested the Eagles would go with a 23-27 OL-DL distribution, with them going light at QB, RB, and WR while going heavy along both lines and at linebacker. And that's exactly what happened. I just think they had better depth on defense so it made sense to keep those guys.

The guys I was kind of disappointed to see cut were Anderson, Covey, and Gowan. Sills making it caught me completely off guard. I never even noticed him during the preseason games, but I guess he outplayed Anderson. Blankenship making it was nice to see because the guy was very active and noticeable in the games.

I bet we're going to see a couple of players added and dropped between now and the Lions game. Guys have to make the 53-man roster before being placed on IR, otherwise they're out for the year. So anyone that's going to be out for awhile can go there to free up a roster spot.

It's kind of disappointing that all of those back end corners (other than Scott, I guess) that they carried last season until now didn't make it, including the guy they acquired in the Ertz trade.

The Pats cut Bill Murray.

Will the Eagles finally let someone get 87?

They couldn't had out the numbers of Bergey (66), Montgomery (31), and Quick (82) fast enough. But Goshdarnit, Brent Celek somehow deserves legendary status.

Yup. It seems like we have to clear up this point every year. You don't go to the back of the line once you claim someone.

8 LBs and 5 WRs in the final roster.  Unusual departure from the previous rosters.  Different scheme on defense?  Reagor is still here who proves to be a hard one even for Howie, the trade master, to move.  If they concentrate the passes to the top guys, their stats would be good.  But if injury happens and it does, then there will be a big drop off.

Add Jenkins (27) to the list.

So the 5th WR is catastrophic?

The mistake was in 2020.  Move on.

Keeping him around is compounding the mistake at this point.  The Eagles need to move on.

And Randall (12), McCoy (25), Foles (9), and Ertz (86).

Time to beat Detroit's ass

For me, Covey didn't really show enough for a roster spot; I'd rather take a risk on retaining Allen as he has something that stands out on the field.

Four point favorites.  Seems kind of light.

Hopefully, CGJ takes that job and runs with it. Don't know his new # yet but Legacy....Would Malcolm share?

I have no idea what the Saints FO is thinking. They go all in this year and trade a future first, trade up for Olave. Load up on Matthieu and Landry and then trade away CGJ for nothing for some reason.

I kind of like what the cowpokes do with some numbers like with Pearson/Irvin's 88. It's not officially retired, but they only give it to a select few with potential like Drez Bryant and CeeDee Lamb.

Ask Zech McPhearson.  It's his now.
