I'd put Reagor and Wallace in there own bucket - we know who they are.

Taylor, Marlon, and Sills are still developing.

Marlon T and Sills are normal back of the roster guys. Every team has them.

  • Perfect weekend for me. I got to make my long time soul mate my wife officially. And I got a eagles win today. Life is good.

  • Listen up blog.  Enough. These 2 ass clowns are suspended for 2 weeks.  They've both had warnings to quit the personal attacks.  There's a line between trash talk and just abusing other posters a

Howie's trade bait. He ain't done by far, yet.

You can say that about half the roster, maybe more

Sills has good movement skills but didn't play much, needs leg explosion, looks like a weight room/Stoutland special who they didn't want to expose on waivers but will spend the season as inactive. Must think he has more upside than Anderson.

Surprised they kept Wallace over Chachere, given neither seems to be starter material, thought STs would decide.

The rest was pretty predictable.

I'd honestly feel more comfortable with Jobe getting playing time than some of their other depth CBs. I wouldn't get IR'ing Jobe. The Eagles backups at CB are garbage. He's one low level guy who actually has showed some promise unlike the other bums they've brought in and played musical chairs with over the last 3 years.

He's hurt and has a giant brace on his elbow. If he's hurt enough to not play for 4 weeks, IR him.

No you can’t. Not half.

I like how Sills basically geta a big bloke on a bike for his roster announcement video. No one saw him getting on the initial 53 internally

Who on the team is not "expendable”?

Expecting Calcaterra to change his number.  Only 88 and 89 are taken right now.

When I say expendable I meant cuttable. You knew what I meant, just playing with semantics.

2 QBs- replace Gainwell with Bowden, now you have an emergency QB.

Or, he can play WR over Reagor, as well as take his return duties.

Go get him.

27 of the 53 right here.  That seems pretty heavy.

Try Hards make the best ST'ers, which we need.

Agree. Those guys are the hungriest. BShip has that motor, always around the ball carrier. Nose for the play. That may translate to actual D playing time.

Davion Taylor is interesting. I was fairly frustrated with him last year, but it seemed a light bulb turned on for him and he was getting much more comfortable in this defense. Then, of course he gets injured. I wasn't impressed with his preseason performance, but maybe the coaches are seeing something different in practice.

Waiving Carson Strong early makes it harder for teams to sign him because of the roster decisions they have to make.  I hope they do sign him to the practice squad.  I have not been impressed with Stinnett.

Predictions for players claimed by other teams....

Anderson & Awosika very likely.

I think Sweat and Reddick are OLBs.

Not over Gainwell.

They like having depth on the lines. With those being some of our older personnel groupings, it makes sense.

87 is apparently off limits and 84 is on IR for now

Will the Eagles finally let someone get 87?

You want a comparison to Sills? I think Big V. Powerful but shaky technique. I was a little surprised they cut Anderson but he’ll be on the PS if he doesn’t get signed. I’m very comfortable with this decision because it had to be up to Stoutland.

Carrying a QB3 like sinnett is something I just do not understand. What he would give you over signing the journeyman off the street is so negligible it’s pointless. That spot is either a developmental project or a guy too good to cut. He is neither.

Eagles are 19th in waiver order.

This team almost always has 3 QB's on the roster/practice squad. I would imagine they bring Strong back to the PS if he's not picked up somewhere else. If not Strong, I think it will be someone other than Sinnett. QB factory will be in full swing.
