EMB Blog: 2022 Regular Season (and beyond?) - NO POLITICS

Featured Replies

You can lose every week. Fumbles and mistakes happen. Any Given Sunday is a thing. That being said. Lets take another look at the strength of this schedule. (according to FO DVOA)

The Eagles are 4-0 and 2nd in DVOA. They have played the 4th overall team in Jacksonville, the 17th in Minnesota, the 18th in Detroit, and the 30th in DC.

Their remaining schedule is vs the 6th x2 (Dallas), the 9th (GB), and the rest are 20th or worse (2 of those 3 games are in Philly)

Ten(20), Pit(21), NO(22), NYGx2(23), CHI(27), AZ(29), DC(30), HOU(31), IND(32)

FO gives them a 38.1% chance to go to the SB and a 20.3% chance to win it. They have a 58.9% chance at the 1 seed and the bye.

  • Perfect weekend for me. I got to make my long time soul mate my wife officially. And I got a eagles win today. Life is good.

  • Listen up blog.  Enough. These 2 ass clowns are suspended for 2 weeks.  They've both had warnings to quit the personal attacks.  There's a line between trash talk and just abusing other posters a

He didn't defend Wentz.  But even if he had, and had he stated his opinion that Wentz is better than Ryan, which by any measure should be considered an extremely low bar, who cares?

Why does there have to be a 'term' for someone that defends Wentz?  Just an ad hominem attack.   Rise above the petty.

So does this make you a Mike Mediator???

A Mike marauder???

A Mike meat head? Oh wait that's McGinley, wrong mike...

Rise above the petty???

Since when is calling someone a Wentz washers an attack??? Holy balls.

For all the crap that goes on on this board I never thought I'd have more than one poster reply that using the term Wentz washers crosses the line

Get a grip.

As for who cares?

Who cares Indeed???

I was simply replying to a post made by downunder about Wentz.

Who cares Bout half the nonsense anybody on this board talks about, when did we decide to draw the line at Wentz???

Colts have not won in Jacksonville since 2014.

Michael Jordan would be proud.

On a serious note,  Draymond is a punk.  They might hash things out and all but there is no way Poole will ever be cool with him after that.

Has not been banned, I believe he is on vacation for his anniversary.  At least that is what I am getting from P-TATE.

P-TATE, thats code word for secret circle jerk...

Late to the Reich conversation, but I think he’s a solid to good coach. He’s certainly not bad.

It’s hard to win with crazy ownership, QB turnover and injuries.

Didn't you cry for a week because a bunch of us got together and agreed to say nice things about an UDFA QB ??

The Colts haven't beaten the Jags in Jacksonville for years.  It's embarrassing actually for them how many times that they have lost to the Jags, no matter how bad the Jags have been.  For whatever reason, the Jags always find a way to beat the Colts... or flip it around, the Colts always find a way to lose to the Jags.

Why are people comparing Ryan and Wentz?  Because they were the last two QBs in Indy.  Why does it matter?  Because people were discussing if Reich was a good coach or not, and its a relevant issue for the discussion.

What doesn't make sense is why so many people need to make ad hominem attacks on others whenever they say anything even neutral about Wentz.  Sad state of affairs.

I wasn't talking in that discussion about Reich.

What's sad is that posters get their undies in a bunch because another poster uses a term to describe defending Wentz, mind you these are the same anti woke crowd that bemoan political correctness as anti American sissy brouhaha but saying Wentz washer and you'd think I was lizzo playing a flute or a black mermaid...😒

All I know is he was fired from the Chargers.  Almost fired from the Eagles, supposedly.  Helped win a SB.  Now he's trending downwards after a respectable start in Indy.  Who knows, maybe later in the year they start looking like a playoff team.  Same with Denver who has a ton of talent.

@LeanMeanGM

Can’t remember if I made a prediction so:

Eagles 34

Cards 17

Bonus: we miss an extra point.

You did but originally gave 34-16. Want to change to 17?

Also the bonus prediction I had down for you the first time was a miss XP, not a Slay INT

No I didn't cry, I think the agreed upon term was ****ed incessantly in the blog until the mods  took notice  and told us to work out our own issues and stop whining to them.

Which should tell you that it was not the big deal you made it.

Are you gonna cry the next time I say something nice about a fringe player ??

"wentz was the problem"

That comment is false, as seen by last nights trainwreck.

Take the L lol

Like I said if one isn't part of the solution one is part of the problem.

Explain to me how Wentz was part of the solution, I must've missed that part where he kex them to the playoffs ..

I think one of them came back in and said he was tired of it and that he was just going to start giving out warning/suspensions now

I do find it funny that this thread gets reported more than threads in all of WU

Indy did not make any improvement at QB in going from Wentz to Matt Ryan.  It could be argued there was a chance for upside if Reich could have continued to work with Wentz and helped him regain form.

Ryan has no upside.  Too old, even less mobile than Wentz at this point, and always has been overrated.

It seems like Irsay was done with Wentz. And it may not have been all about Wentz' play on the field. I wonder if 'the leader of the team' refusing to be vaccinated then coming down with Covid and missing one game (I think) and performing subpar once 'recovered' was the straw that broke the camel's back. There were other Colts that refused to be vaccinated but I wonder if Irsay felt that Wentz' refusal played a role in the other players feeling okay with refusing. After all, the leader refused so I'm okay refusing as well.

This isn't about Wentz.  You want to make it about Wentz.  It's about civil discourse.  But, you want to be petty and twist things.  It seems the issue is that when certain people, like you, see Wentz' name in a post, you see red and lose the ability to have a discourse without getting emotionally invested.   I guess that's why you need to use all the punctuation marks.

Ad hominem attack is a standard term for 'attacking' the person rather than the argument made.  It's not about aggressiveness, but about the target of your response.  Name calling would be an ad hominem attack.  You tried to belittle @Mike030270 (which is who you were responding to when you made the immature comment that was being referenced by me and others now) rather than address what's actually being discussed, which was clear because you clearly didn't understand what Mike (not dum) wrote, which was in no way a defense of Wentz, but a statement that any QB would struggle behind such a bad OL.  Mike even included that Wentz sucks especially behind a bad OL.  And yet, somehow you read that as him somehow defending Wentz.

Come on now, dont back track, you admitted to a trolling scheme you said you did it for fun to make the off season less boring which is fine, except you admitted to targeting one particular poster In your trolling scheme.

You and I both know that the mods did more than just ignore it, multiple posters wete guven warnings, mods made multiole systems and issued threats.

If it were up to me I would have banned you and those you enlisted over PM to join your troll scheme mainly because it weakens and threatens the integriry if the board.

A lot of people put in a lot of work to make this place, and make it a olace leople felt they belinged or could have good conversations with fellow eagle fans, you and your ilk and your trolling scheme spit in that and all of us, but again not up to me.

What I find odd is that you revealed this scheme and then bragged about it as if it was some sort of accomplishment.Eating the saltine isn't an accomplishment, it's a failure.

He didn't miss any games, but not getting vaccinated absolutely had a lot to do with getting under Irsay's skin

By saying 'Wentz washer' you are trying to belittle the person, rather address their point.  It's a fallacious argument technique, generally reserved to be used when a person has no better tool available to use.

The discussion about Reich morphed into the discussion of Ryan and Wentz.  That's why they were being discussed together.  If you want to jump into the middle of a conversation, then be sure to understand it's genesis.

And here we have more ad hominems about 'anti-woke' crowds, etc, followed by a false equivalency.

There's no question it was the vaccination issue.  He nearly missed the Raiders game in Week 17 (only played because the protocols got changed), played poorly in that loss, then played poorly along with the rest of the team laying an egg in Week 18 vs the Jags to miss the playoffs.  His play in the first 16 weeks was good enough to warrant a second season with Reich; he was far better than he was in 2020.

No one can be sure what was discussed behind the scenes.  I suspect they asked Wentz on a number of occasions to get vaccinated, and he refused each time, then it bit them in the ass at the worst possible time.  Much like Kyle Brandt mentioned in regard to Russell Wilson -- you can afford to be that obstinate if you play like Aaron Rodgers.  Not so much if you play like Carson Wentz.

Cuckflake

Term denoting overly entitled, hypocritical and judgemental people who like to whine and complain about their own problems as the end of society, while everyone else's problems are their own fault. It combines the passive weakness of a cuckold with the constant complaining of injustice of Snowflakes.

Cuckflakes are too weak willed to stand behind and defend their position, whining and crying when anyone disagrees and accuse them of the same. Cuckflakes use ad hominem attacks to derail and transform the discussion to avoid having to come out on the loosing side , or make their ignorance on the topic apparent.

Unlike the snowflakes that complain that everything should be given to them, Cuckflakes expect everyone else to deal with disadvantages they do not as if everyone was on equal ground.

Cuckflakes live by the motto "Do as I say, not do as I do." @downundermike

Despite this unwillingness to discuss a topic or be knowledgeable about it, they are ridiculously vocal about letting everyone know what they think.
