Out of those groups I would think Jobe goes to IR.  Sills, Tuipulotu and Taylor are the bottom 3 guys on the team.

My guess is Sills and Tuipulotu would clear waivers but someone might take a chance on Taylor based on pure athleticism.  

MAYBE they can still trade Reagor but they would still need to add a WR and if they only carry 5 it would have to be a more refined player, not a project like Allen or Covey.  

 

It would be smart to get Jobe in the game here and there. He would probably benefit more getting live game reps instead of being put on IR. It seems like the Eagles do this every year with CBs and it never works out

I think it's going to be some sort of hybrid Slot/Safety roll.  I saw a video of CGJ where he called himself the best slot in the league.

I really think we are going to be a single-high, Cover-1 / Cover-3 defense, where the slot corner (Maddox) and box safety (CGJ) are interchangeable.

He can be back in a few weeks. The only guys who can't practice after being on ir are those who go on it before the 53 man roster is set.

Reggie Roberson- the SMU WR before anyone knew about Danny Gray. Roberson has had a few bad injuries, but maintained a lot of speed. Since Reagor was only ever meant to be a deep threat, Roberson is better.

Lynn Bowden- obvious

McTelvin Agim (if you can sneak him on PS, may be a decent depth piece if we let Hargrave go after this season)

Haskell Garrett- same as Agim

Raequan Williams- seemed to be coming along at DT for us. Might not be bad to bring back.

TY McGill- did come along here. playable at DT.

Yusuf Corker- PS to hopefully replace Wallace next year as depth

Varone McKinley- same as Corker

Bubba Bolden- same as the other two safeties

Tariq Castro-Fields- PSU DB. Better player than Goodrich or possibly even Gowan. Get him on the PS. So many nickels on this team. Need more outside depth for when Slay is done and if Bradberry leaves.

Nate Sudfeld- would be solid QB 3

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Not for us but TE Gerrit Prince seemed to have a strong pre-season. Surprised to see him cut from a bad team.

Greg Ward is an important leader in that locker room.  Not many on the team have a bigger voice in that locker room than Greg Ward.  Clutch move by the Eagles to find a way to keep him involved on the team.
